Barbara Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 Hello, I'm new to everything related to tarot. I need help. I received a very uosetting reading with predictions far in the future. I don't want to become a prisoner of this reading! I believe in free will. Could you tell me, is the reader wrong in this case? She said I will be lonely and unloved. I checked the meaning of cards and the were positive. There was for example magician, 2 of cups and later she took, 6 of cups, 3 of cups, queen of pentacles, knight of cups and King of cups. There was also devil followed by death. I don't have a feeling that those cards are speaking of loneliness. I'm terrified by this reading. She didn't give me any hope. Also what is your experience with predictions and free will? I don't want this to happen the way she described. How does she know what i will do in years from now?
katrinka Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 I'm not going to interpret your cards for you, since you haven't attempted to interpret them yourself. But I can say that Death and the Devil can make an otherwise good reading bad. I don't know her reading method, either, so I really can't comment much. Some people use things like elemental dignities. A "good" card can be bad in an unfortunate placement. https://www.corax.com/tarot/elemental-dignities.html But the good news is that there is no Tarot reading that can cover "years from now". So this is not a permanent state. It's also possible that she was setting you up for a scam. Did she do the reading cheap, but try to sell you some kind of expensive ritual to remove curses or bad luck? If so, she's a scammer.

Before popping in to help with a reading, please be sure people have interpreted it first themselves. If there's no interpretation, feel free to report it, or wait for a mod to handle it.
