Serge Pirotte is offering another Intro to Lenormand class this September. 7 weeks, $140. https://www.laetitiacartomancy.com/classes-1/p/learn-lenormand-with-lenormand-expert-serge-pirotte-f8c7m (I’m not affiliated with this class at all, other than as a happy student — I took this class and one on Belline from Serge last year. I’m taking this one again to strengthen my skills — Serge is SO good.)

Thank you @Marina I have the first version of the cards and an accompanying book. I don’t know quite why but the art style turned me off , I don’t mind different or dark, this was something else I couldn’t pin down that turned me away. The Alchemy deck looks a bit better, I will look at the Somlipith deck and see how that looks. As I told @Moon-Hermit above I am studying not her deck but when I do move onto this will will let you know if you like. Thanks again !

Preparing to do a tarot reading (for someone else).
MouthOfTheLion replied to MouthOfTheLion's topic in Tarot Talk & Technique
Yes, I am on the hunt for local people to practice with. Some of the people in my social circle are suspicious of tarot but use oracle cards or are open to receiving readings with oracle cards, I'm not sure if it's worth it to go down that road or not. Oracle cards don't interest me as much as tarot, but I would be getting practice with the physical aspects of sitting down with someone and doing a reading. -

What's your favorite way to get to know your decks?
MouthOfTheLion replied to StarkRavenMad's topic in Tarot Talk & Technique
The questions, of course! I know he doesn't care what the other cat thinks of him.. though he might be interested to know how to get the dog to stop sniffing his butt. 🤔😆 -

2 & 3 of Cups as symbols of polyamory
Raggydoll replied to Bronwyn's topic in Individual Card Meanings
Yes it can. 2 of Cups + 3 of cups could indicate a couple inviting a third person. The latter just means sex involving multiple people, it doesn’t say anything about emotions or commitment. Some polyamorous have group sex (or so I have been told, by a polyamorous person 😄), others don’t. -

Donna24 started following My work as a gifted psychic

After years of training within the Academy of Sorcery, I finally gained my in depth knowledge as to my true psychic abilities and how to foresee the present through the on goings of the past. Through tarot divination mainly, numerology and crystal gazing, I am able to foresee love plus relationship resolutions, career and financial breakthroughs. My current favorite deck of cards are Waite tarot cards.

2 & 3 of Cups as symbols of polyamory
Grizabella replied to Bronwyn's topic in Individual Card Meanings
It could also indicate group sex. The way I understand both polyamory and group sex, polyamory indicates committed (on some level) relationships with multiple people. Group sex would mean sexual activity with several people at once but no real deep romantic commitments with the added people. -

Six of Cups as the energy between a couple
Grizabella replied to Bronwyn's topic in Individual Card Meanings
In considering the 6 of Cups as the energy between a couple, I'd consider it to mean that the energy was not predominantly sexual. That it was a healthy, well-rounded energy that included shared interests and activities they had in common. If there is a sexual relationship it wouldn't be the main focus of the relationship, it would just be a healthy, reasonable part of their lives. Their energy as a couple would be very positive and I'd expect they would continue in that relationship for a very long time. -

The Major Arcana for spiritual development and shadow work
Cariabella posted a topic in Tarot Talk & Technique
I view the Major Arcana as a series of practical processes for shadow work, spiritual development, and awakening. They form the most concise manual for self-realization I have ever come across. Note: The work of manifestation is simply a byproduct of this process. To understand how that works, look at the Major Arcana cards arranged in three rows: Row 1: Spiritual Development (The Magician to The Hermit): The journey begins not with a question, but with an objective. The first row of the Major Arcana establishes what we need to achieve—the ultimate goal of the self-development process. Before we can change how we interact with the universe, we must first understand what an awakened state of being actually looks and feels like. Row one is that gold standard. Working to embody this row is the core of spiritual development, where manifestation occurs either as a natural byproduct or with a little extra focused effort toward what we truly desire. Row 2: Shadow Work (The Wheel of Fortune to The Moon): If the first row is the destination, the second row is the road trip. It represents the how—the exact process of achieving that higher state. This row signifies ego-dissolution, trials, karma, and rebirth. It is the practical, often turbulent methodology of awakening that teaches us how to navigate change, surrender control, and dismantle false constructs of the self. Furthermore, it reveals exactly what lies behind our actions, relationships, and suffering. Row 3: Fulfillment & Integration (The Sun to The Fool): True awakening is useless if it only exists while meditating on an isolated mountaintop. This row is entirely about integration. It maps out how to live a fulfilled, luminous life by bringing this radical new understanding back down to earth and into our everyday conscious awareness. I would love to hear from you: Does this arrangement sit well with you? Have you ever dug deep into shadow and spiritual development work using the Major Arcana? -

Welcome to the forum @Cariabella . -
Hello all! My name is Cariabella, and I have been reading tarot since 2014. My love for the tarot—reading, learning, and teaching—led me down the path of using the cards for shadow work, spiritual development, and awakening. I absolutely love tarot and can never resist buying a new book, a new deck, or enrolling in new courses!

Cariabella started following Cariabella Esoterics

In Cariabella Esoterics, the Tarot goes far beyond mere fortune-telling and predicting the future; while the cards are undoubtedly powerful tools for insight, their most profound purpose as a sophisticated, symbolic system for self-transformation, spiritual growth, and enlightenment is often completely overlooked. To truly grasp this power, one must step beyond casual readings and enter a space of dedicated study where, as you become intimately familiar with the cards' deeper esoteric and psychological layers, they begin to reveal their secrets in a magnificent, highly personal way. The Tarot is ultimately an individual journey that requires a reliable map and a solid foundation to begin, which is exactly the philosophy I explore deeply on my site, cariabellaesoterics.com.

Southampton England? - or elsewhere. Well met - from an "old hand" (well I wish!) living in Londinium. Don't forget to look up Tarot groups on MeetUp (assuming it is England). I found a regular live group this way and have some great friends from it. Looking forward to interactions with you 🙂.

Preparing to do a tarot reading (for someone else).
DanielJUK replied to MouthOfTheLion's topic in Tarot Talk & Technique
@Tanga I like that idea about having your clients next to you, so you all get the same view of the cards I think we all have our own preparation methods (or even none) before doing a reading, in whatever way fits for you. It's worth experimenting, what gets you in the right frame of mind and what aids your readings. If they don't, cut them from your practice. Some readers have many rituals before a reading, others just pull the cards out in any situation. It's about working out what works for us. There is no right or wrong but they might help you with the reading. When you are starting out reading, reading for others (particularly) does make you tired, I found it tiring. It does get better. Depending on your spiritual beliefs, you might want to look at protection, having some crystal gemstones around or maybe making an intention. Some people have a ritual to protect their energy, there are many ways to do it. A top tip I read once (maybe on here, I cannot remember) is to drink water! Make sure you keep hydrated. Drinking some water before doing the reading can help with feeling tired and ground you. -
