Cooper & Fry - British crime series with tarot in the plot!
Raggydoll replied to Raggydoll's topic in Tarot in MediaConsidering all the woo woo topics that this series touched upon, I think we have a lot of leeway in our discussions 😁 This explains so much. Your stellar sense of humor, among other things 😁 Very fascinating stuff! -

Tanga replied to Raggydoll's topic in Tarot in MediaOh NO! we're digressing again! Do you know - a psychic once told me that I actually come from the Pleiades? (a rather cute club shaped constellation that I often look for when I'm star gazing). And... who says the Sidhe aren't aliens? 🤣 "The Pleiades is a stunning, young open star cluster in the Taurus constellation, located roughly 440 light-years away. Known as the "Seven Sisters", it contains over 1,000 stars and is easily visible to the naked eye as a tight, misty dipper shape in the winter night sky". -

jaygon replied to jaygon's topic in RWSHi all, Just following-up on the above after some time. The current MPC Study Deck is by the same creator (P.K) but I’m wondering if it is the same deck as was released 10 years ago or if this is a slightly different design. I can’t seem to get any information from MPC and have tried but failed to contact the creator. Anybody own the original deck and/or this deck?- Cooper & Fry - British crime series with tarot in the plot!

gregory replied to Raggydoll's topic in Tarot in MediaWE have a good stone circle near us: Long Meg. I have tried to count the stones MANY times and never came to the same total..... The second series has already been filmed. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cooper_and_Fry_(TV_series)- Cooper & Fry - British crime series with tarot in the plot!

Tanga replied to Raggydoll's topic in Tarot in MediaAnd just because it's English folklore, here is "a lady dancing in the circle": Legend has it, that if you dance in the circle... The Sidhe will come and take you away. D'you think they did it and then wiped my memory?? 🤣 "The Merry Maidens is a Late Neolithic stone circle situated in Cornwall, about 2 miles south of St Buryan. It consists of 19 granite megaliths forming an almost perfect 24-meter circle. The stones range from 0.9 to 1.4 meters in height and are graded in size. According to local legend, the stones were originally a group of maidens and two musicians (the nearby standing stones known as The Pipers) turned to stone for dancing on the Sabbath".Red_Angel joined the community- Cooper & Fry - British crime series with tarot in the plot!
Tanga replied to Raggydoll's topic in Tarot in MediaOh WOW - now that was a great ending in episode 4! I had been wondering about the ever-so-subtle & occasional suggestion of menace from DS Eland, and how he then fits the description of 'the devil unseen outside the circle, pulling all the strings' - is pretty cool. Plus - I was also wondering why we kept seeing posters of missing cats! (I tend to notice missing cat posters - I've had a few real incidents myself with such things). I love that Diane decided she would not fulfil her card prediction (perfectly demonstrating how a prediction can spur the sitter to work for a different outcome). And I really liked previously to that - how DC Cooper said to Diane - "take people as they come - or else they won't talk to ya". Ravi was pretty creepy in his own little way too. IMO this series hit the nail on the head - for how card readings unfold in real time, how generally down-to-earth and 'normal' card readers actually are, and how belief, folklore and superstition can work in a community. Thanks so much for the head-ups on this series @Raggydoll . It looks like they are planning to have further series as there's still the unsolved piece at the end. I shall be waiting hopefully.Yesterday

Tanga replied to Raggydoll's topic in Tarot in MediaLol. I gave my Etteilla deck away. How cool is that? 😇- Does anyone know if Andy Boroveshengra currently has a blog or website?
timtoldrum replied to Vesta's topic in LenormandIt is nice to be back. I still tire quite quickly so I’m not around a lot. But I did miss talking cards etc- Significator - is the Lady her or me
timtoldrum replied to Celine's topic in LenormandYou're most welcome @Celine. Do bear in mind that this is simply how the cards have worked for me in practice. Other readers may approach the matter differently and arrive at equally valid conclusions based upon their own experience and tradition. Personally, I find it best to decide upon the significators before the cards are dealt (Lenormand, Tarot, Playing Cards). It keeps the reading clear, consistent and straightforward (the Lenormand has a strange sense of humour), and avoids the temptation to reassign roles once the spread is already on the table. Quite often, the simplest approach proves to be the most reliable.- Tarot Netivot Star of the Week Reading Sunday July 19 - Shabbat July 25, 2026
