The Solar Eclipse 12th August 2026 - How was it?
karma_eleon replied to Tanga's topic in SpiritualityWell, it WAS also a lunar event, without the moon, there would not have been an eclipse! @Chariot "one celestial body passing in front of another one in an orderly fashion" π€£ so true actually (but "orderly fashion" made me giggle π) -
The Solar Eclipse 12th August 2026 - How was it?
Chariot replied to Tanga's topic in SpiritualityI'm maybe in the minority, but I have never been worked up about eclipses, or tried to see one. Basically, they are predictable, and are nothing more than one celestial body passing in front of another one in an orderly fashion, temporarily blocking our view. Now that we know it's not some dragon eating the sun (which would have been exciting, to say the least), an eclipse is just a transitory event. It's like another shopper blocking your aisle with a grocery cart while they contemplate cans of tuna. I get more excited by meteor showers or Northern Lights, or cloud formations, or storms. Each is more of a random phenomenon than eclipses. Mind you, I live in Scotland now, which is not a great place to foster the hobby of astronomy! This year, the cloud cover was so thick we hardly even noticed the daylight dropping during the eclipse. I mean ...we weren't even at the supermarket when the grocery cart blocked the aisle. π Missed it completely. -

What's The Postman Bringing? Part 2
Rose Lalonde replied to DanielJUK's topic in Tarot DecksIf it's helpful info, I ordered from the creator's site on June 2. A shipping label was created on June 3, but it actually went out on the 11th. I received it on the other side of the world on June 14 (only 3 days from the US to here is so fast; I can't remember whether there was more than one shipping option.) -

Tanga posted a topic in SpiritualitySo, there was much drama about the solar eclipse here in the UK - on Wednesday 12th. I've already had several clients tell me all about their experience of gathering in a designated spot - which turned out to be chockablock with eclipse fans - to watch the event. As for myself - I'd forgotten when it was, until someone reminded me on the day - by which time I thought "well, I'm not prepared & I have work - so that's that". Lol. I like to be properly prepared for things. So - I'm wondering if anyone else would like to recount their story of their experiences? Ironically - the last client of the day that I was expecting cancelled due to an emergency - and, I then promptly went to bed. I... was ASLEEP during the solar eclipse π€£. What a waste of the magickal "alignment of 12 planets" plus an eclipse! The ritual I could have performed - the poems I could have written - the visions I could have seen!!! π Forgive my melodrama. It's the beginning of my 17 day summer holiday and I'm extremely happy. What did YOU do on the Eclipse?- What's The Postman Bringing? Part 2
RunningWild replied to DanielJUK's topic in Tarot DecksI took a chance and ordered the Deleted World Tarot which should be here...sometime. Maybe. They took the money. It's not OOP just yet but it certainly does take them a hella long time to get things around. Also, for something different and because it was my birthday, I ordered Maia Toll's Wild Wisdom Collection (oracle). Also, some random thing I thought looked like fun despite some of the reviews claiming it looked like AI slop. I couldn't find enough images to confirm their opinions. It might just be digital slop and not at all AI. π€£π€£- Sharing posts
gregory replied to gregory's topic in Technical Forum AssistanceThe share option is extremely useful HERE; I would never share anything from any forum on social media. I would have liked to link a post from the identify game to another subscriber for help; I also wanted to show a post from the reiki thread to another subscriber. But - whatever, I guess.- Sharing posts
Little Fang replied to gregory's topic in Technical Forum AssistanceAlright, from what I am gathering, it appears that any section that you have to be a member of the forum to see will NOT have the share option available. This makes sense, as the share button's main focus is for sharing content on social media. For sharing with other members, the right-click and copy link on the date of the forum is the best and easiest way to go about things. :)- Sharing posts
gregory replied to gregory's topic in Technical Forum AssistanceThere are others, as Danial has pointed out. I think everything in the Reiki and healing forum, for instance. Every thread in Fun and Games that I've checked. Actually I suspect everything in the subscribers areas- Sharing posts
Little Fang replied to gregory's topic in Technical Forum AssistanceCould I have a link to the threads, please? Disregard; Daniel linked them to me elsewhere. So Sharing is still enabled on those subforums, which is weird.- Sharing posts
gregory replied to gregory's topic in Technical Forum Assistanceidentify the game - top right doesn't show it where it should. : For comparison, this one does: The one I first noted yesterday was the adverse reactions to reiki thread in Reiki and healing. I looked at a couple of others in that subforum and they don't have it either. You can use the workaround Dan mentioned - but still.- Sharing posts
Little Fang replied to gregory's topic in Technical Forum AssistanceI've gone through every single forum and sub-forum and they all have sharing on. Can you link the threads having the issues for investigation?Last week

EMarieHasADHD replied to Shaira's topic in Esoteric TarotI actually love his books. Iβm reading Tree of Life and How to Read Tarot right now. Iβm in the mystery school he founded called Builders of the Adytum (B.O.T.A). It teaches esoteric knowledge, personal and spiritual growth, knowledge of the Tarot as a tool for enlightenment and Kabbalah, as well. ETA you can purchase Caseβs books from the BOTA website to ensure youβre getting his actual writings. https://storebota.org/collections/englishEMarieHasADHD started following Books by Paul Foster Case?- A Case Against Fixed House Placements in the GT
Mister replied to Ferrea's topic in LenormandHi @Ferrea I'd say have a go and see what it does for you. If it gives you more grip on your reads, that's what matters. Chances are there'll be a takeaway to the exploration making it worthwhile, maybe you'll even stick with it. It is the same reason why some like to give their rows a certain meaning, be that by incorporation of houses, giving meaning to certain sections of the tableau, or ordering it in a timely manner - it does make sense to use if it gives more grip on the read and that's why some use it. And some don't want to do without and use two packs of lenormands to lay a 3x3 in order to use houses in their read. It has precedence: The use of two pack Tarock's/Jass for example, or the use of Triumphs and Suits as two sepearate packs, one clarifying the other. Or a pack of tarots with an oracle-overlay. Even using the arkana/suits/both and then placing runes thereon for further detail or pairing astrology with cards is based on the same principle. Maybe to Pitisci-People it can be put under 'clever ways to incorporate conceptual blending'. It is also the same reason why some like to give their rows no meaning or 'observe the cards naturally' - it does make sense if it gives more grip. There's anotherone: "grip" is what I like to use, others may prefer "insight". Or "precision". Or "accuracy". While they are not the same, the sentiment linking them likely is.- HelloοΌπ§‘

Tanga replied to Little Fang's topic in Technical Forum AssistanceThe updates are FAB. And from the little tech I know, I'm sure tweaking & changing will need to go on for what seems like ad.infinitum. I LOVE this forum πππ. I appreciate EVERYTHINGππππ½.- How are we doing? Suggestions here!
DanielJUK replied to Little Fang's topic in Technical Forum AssistanceThat's a great suggestion @Marina We'll discuss it between the forum staff and see what we can do π You are welcome to post on any old discussions, that's fine in this community.- Sharing posts
DanielJUK replied to gregory's topic in Technical Forum AssistanceFor some bizarre reason, the update absolutely borked thread sharing π€·. I've noticed some areas do have it back, it seems to be random. It's on in this area. I share threads all the time and so really notice this but will try and get that fixed. If you right-click on the time and date of a post, you always get a link but it's not as clean and easy. Leave it with me, we will try and get it working again. It's one of those things you realise is so useful around the place π
