This might be an issue with the re-sizer for attachments. In my journal I added a photo of my interview with the Circo Tarot. I keep weekly posts so it's a bit up on the last page. On my computer the image is normal, right side up, but as an attachment it has suddenly been flipped so it lays on its side. Any ideas about what has happened and how to fix it?

In my experience this usually happens when one uploads a photo taken with a phone or tablet; you need to save it first, rotate it and THEN upload. Or put it in imgur and rotate it there.

When I go for new posts I get a very few on a page with the whole post. It's not that user friendly. I DID like the AT way better, where there's a long list of the threads with new posts (or of your watched threads with their most recent post listed) - just the list - and you'd be able to think Ooh a new post in that Thoth Fool thread - must go look. The way it is here, I - don't; there are too many pages of whole posts. If you see what I mean. I'd look at more threads if it were easier to see what's out there.

Could you give me a screenshot of what you're describing?  <3  When I click the show unread posts, I get a big list of topics that have new posts, and to be honest I don't even remember what AT had at this point.

 

Unfortunately there is only so much that can be done with the forum software.  :(

gregory, I was looking at a way of doing that as well because seeing all the posts in updated topic order on AT was so helpful (although it was a time wasting nightmare!  ;D >:D ). If you go to unread posts at the top, it will clear when you view it and if the forum is quiet, you end up with a blank page. However recently I saw at the bottom a message saying click here to see all unread and it gives you a lot more posts than the time frame. There doesn't seem to be a way of listing all updated topics easily, the minute you click an email or tapatalk or look at an updated thread you have got a notification for, it makes it read! There is a recent posts (including all posts) here but it lists via post not topic. I would love all recent posts via topic.

 

Following new / updating posts and also the threads you are getting updates for is a little tricky but it seems to be a SMF thing. I am not sure there is anything Little Fang can do but maybe they will release a new version in future with improvements for lists of threads  :) <3

Thanks. Nice to have the option to see all unread rather than just unread since my last visit. I hadn't seen that.

Yes, the link at the bottom does show all unread posts - the whole posts, not just the threads. And some are long readings - excellent stuff - but I have to scroll past them to see the next. And there are only ten to a page. Which means it takes ages to check them all to see what I might like to follow up on.

 

What I'd like to see would be more like this edited version of that, with 50, say, to a page. In the same format as "unread since your last visit". It would show name of thread, who started it, where it is, and date/time/member's name of the last post. NOT the post content.

 

ETA: Actually - speedy research shows that that link at the bottom is the only one that does this; unread posts actually fills the bill tolerably well if only it weren't restricted to "since your last visit" - as I never log out, this gets - odd !....

Yes - I like that, and I thank Daniel for it. But I'd like there to be a more OBVIOUS link to it ! (I did find it after Daniel said, but still...)

 

But I still don't actually get the value of the one that actually shows the whole posts.

AND there is a problem with Daniel's solution that I just hit. You have to actually use the link posted.

 

I went - as I do these days - for unread since last visit. It said there were none. OF COURSE there are - there are HUNDREDS of posts I have never read and never will (nothing personal.) But then there is no link at the bottom of the page, so....

 

And using the link - there are -as one  would expect - a shedload of posts from months ago that I haven't read. AD, actually, several from this morning - which therefore should have shown up...

 

Can we please have this link: https://www.thetarotforum.com/unread/?all;start=0 somewhere where it will always appear ?

Click the show unread posts since last visit and then at tbe bottom of the page here is Show all unread topics. I've tried on default theme and astronomy and it's the same as that link.  <3

I need to continue looking for something.  I love the idea but a poll would not be applicable.  I can't list all the possible countries.  We could just write it out but what I've been looking for is a map you can put 'pins' in that show where you're from.  I haven't looked for a few days but I'll keep looking.  It's a great idea!  ^-^

The Deck Review section, though still small continues to grow and I would like to recommend a "sticky" post with an index that includes links to the reviews if possible.  I think alphabetical order would work just fine at this point.  Thanks for considering this suggestion.
