Hello! I consider myself a casual hobbyist of tarot reading. I came across this forum while searching on some of the interpretations which led me to the old archived forum which then led me to here. Pleasure to make online acquaintance!

Hi everyone, I’m new here, though not new to tarot. I’ve been working with the cards for about 20 years, alongside my background in psychology. My approach has always been less about prediction and more about understanding patterns, symbols, and the dialogue between cards and the person asking. I’m glad to be here and looking forward to exchanging readings and insights with you all.

I'm a 49 yr old Tarot beginner who's keen on learning the ropes and understadning this space. I've come at this sideways and I'm trying to understand the practice properly. I'm here to learn mostly about reading methods, alternative spreads, card and spread meaning/intention. I have bought the New Earth Tarot deck and handbook from Kate Silver (round cards) which I'm truely loving. I'm doing a rough 3 card spread at the start of eack week atm and recording these in a log. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer me. I'm really glad to be here. Cheers, Corey

Hi all, My name is Jai. I am a beginner tarot reader. While I am not a beginner to the custom I am a beginner to conducting readings. I just got tired of paying readers in person who gave me generic readings or paying for readers online only to be duped in getting another generic reading (even a generic video). I felt no connection. So I prayed and ask for blessings, took out a new deck of cards, and started first with a 1 card reading. I referenced every online explanations of each card. Now I am up to a 9 card reading (on myself only). But I keep a journal of my readings. I started seeing repitition cards. Or different cards pulled that have parallel insinuation…

Hello. I have just joined and really exited at the start of my tarot learning curve. I bought a deck because a medium told me I have an ability that is not tapped into and I am curious to see where this leads me. I just did my first reading on myself and got all arrow cards. Is this a good sign?

Hello and thank you for adding me to the group. I learned fortune telling as a teenager, doing reading for friends at slumber parties and sleep overs. I continued into my college years. Once I was in my 30's, i lost touch. I re-find Tarot again in my 40's. I started creating my own deck when i was 43 and finished them at 45. It's been a healing and growing experience that has been like no other. Very happy to connect with others who love Tarot too.

Hi, I hope I am posting this the right way. Lol. I am looking forward to learning from everyone here and hopefully contributing something useful. I have read tarot for just a couple of years all together. I picked it up from my aunt, who has done it for decades. I am also working with other forms of reading cards, like Lenormand and lately playing cards and dice. It's all interesting to me. I really enjoy the mental challenge of figuring out the narrative, analyzing, using it for reflection and evaluation. I'm excited to be here. Thank you.

Thought I would say a quick hello! i've been interested in Tarot for about three years or so but am still very much a beginner, didn't do much last year as it was a very trying year with health and family problems. I had hoped for a better year for 2020 and drew a Card for the Year on January 1st asking "how will 2020 go?" well, I drew The Tower 🤣 and we all know how the year has panned out so far - I went on holiday to Cyprus in February (sadly didn't take my cards with me), got stranded there for just over five months but can't complain it was a good place to be. Back in Scotland now and will continue my tarot studies 🙂 and will most probably be lurking on here quite of…

I’m glad I happened upon you all. I’m really a newbie at tarot. I have a friend whose a mentor, but mostly learning from books and YouTube. I’m using RWS type cards, but haven’t settled on one that resonates. Feeling like I’ll stick to cards that use the same symbolism as most of the instruction books. Thanks again for being here.

My desire to learn tarot is strong & I'm ready to dedicate myself to developing my practice - that's why I'm here! Thank you for letting me join this community & I'm thrilled to get to know all of you!

I'm excited to have found this community! I have been practicing divination in many forms since I was very young, starting with mirror/water scrying and evolving to include cartomancy, tea leaf reading, oneiromancy, etc. My predominant clair-senses include claircognizance, clairvoyance, and clairaudience. I am always seeking to improve my abilities and skills. I work as a reader professionally, and in my free time study a lot of occult and esoteric topics. I have a modest social media account where I post channeled messages and share spiritual knowledge learned during my studies. I am currently trying to get back into writing and painting, and learning Latin for fun! …

Hello! Obviously, I am new :p My name is Shu (she/her) and I am a beginner reader. I've only dabbled a bit here and there over the years, but it was my mom who was dedicated to readings - though she rarely read for anyone outside our family. She passed away a few years ago, and I have always meant to take up reading as a way to honor her. I'm still looking for the right deck at the moment, but I do have some at my disposal currently. I can't bring myself to use my mom's deck, but yeah. :) Anyways. I'm here because I know Little Fang, and I was told there was a lot of amazing information here, and a lot of people with great insight. I look forward to discove…

Hi all, So nice to find an active tarot forum out there! I first got into tarot 20 years ago, and read quite frequently in my teens and twenties. The last ten years or so I've mostly let it slide as I am an atheist, however I have kept a few favourite decks and books. Primarily I'm interested in the psychological aspects of tarot. I am hoping to explore the realm of tarot once again, preferably with a new deck. My current go to deck is the Osho Zen Tarot, which I understand is controversial. I like it because the images are so direct and easy to read. I still have a copy of the marvellous Inner Landscapes by Dolores Ashcrof…

Glad I've found you all and looking forward to carrying on my journey alongside you all. I've always been a very spiritual person (Prudence is my spirit name I was given as a baby at my naming ceremony) and have been told more than once by different people I have the gift to be able to communicate with spirit. Life and having young children however meant I never had the time or peace to try. I've had oracle cards a couple of years but only recently got my first tarot deck (as well as a second) so here I am!

... since I signed up for a forum! My name is Tabitha. I'm in my 30s, married to a cool nerd, and I have worked in education for almost a decade. When I'm not working, I tend to play computer games, listen to podcasts (true crime, myths and lore, and ancient history are my favorites). I live in Omaha, NE, but we are about to move to Salt Lake City, Utah (in the summer). Things happened in the last few months that led to my interest in tarot and using it as a reflective tool for my mental health.

Howdy! I'm Sam, a.k.a. Valnac and Tarot has been a passion of mine since the early 80's. While at one point I was a divinatory reader, I am much more about the internal, shadow, therapeutic, and self-growth aspects of Tarot. I prefer to use multiple decks and combinations of Tarot and Oracle decks and often share my discoveries with friends with similar interests. While I haven't started it yet, I will undoubtedly use the Blogging feature here to share with this community as well. As with anyone, I'm more complex than just having this one passion and interest and I am sure through time and exposure you will discover as you wish more about me and m…

Always looking for new ways to expand my craft and learn new things. I am a newbie to tarot and have only been studying for about two months. I have always found tarot fascinating and finally bought my very first deck. I have the Rider Waite and I love it. I was drawn to it immediately as it's a great beginner deck, but I also love the artwork. I feel like I've already learnt so much from this forum and from the lovely people in it. Als…
