I have dabbled with Paganism/Wiccan-ism(?) my whole life but as I’ve gotten older I’m looking how to bring it into my daily life and my home.I am an avid tarot lover and tarot love has been in my family for a while, both Grandma’s read the cards and both my parents did too. My Mom has given me some lovely decks (Mermaid tarot by dame darcy and circo tarot by marisa de la pena).Astrology also plays a big part in my life and I do ‘rituals’ (a.k.a a bit of journaling) each full and new moon. I was gifted an original Mythic Tarot deck years ago by a friend, an Hungarian Gypsy (she would kill me if I didnt mention that haha) from generations of readers so im very lucky I feel with this deck. I had them for years but only the last few months they have called to me. I feel very connected to these cards. I also have the rider waite deck. They are quite a different feel. Like many of you all, I have always felt a draw towards the esoteric. Unfortunately, I let fear hold me back: Fear from low self worth, and fear from what most people believe to be Christianity. Finally, I decided to push into complete submersion into the waters of the occult. I have been consistent studying tarot since this year's January, but i feel the only way to really get into it is to have a hands on experience. I bought a RWS deck as it seems to be the most recommended for beginners, and just finished reading Rachel Pollack's Seventy-Eight Degrees of Wisdom. I've done a few readings for my family members and myself, even though it still takes me forever to make a cohesive reading out of the cards, I find it a very therapeutic and powerful tool.
