I'm finding the advice the cards give sometimes confusing/contradicting and I sometimes feel like they tell me things I'm expecting to hear in the moment that isn't necessarily the right answer. I did a reading on if I should let go of this person I've liked for a while and how to. I thought they were with someone else so I thought it was for the best. I got 7 of cups, 8 of cups, and six of swords. I took that to mean that I need to stop holding onto a fantasy that's not going to come true and move on/ walk away from the situation. A few weeks later I went for drinks with them and found out they are in fact single so I considered telling them I liked them and did ano…

Natalea mentioned wanting to move past individual meanings to pull a reading together, so I thought it might be nice to have a new thread around that. Certainly using spreads can be a really good starting place, but layered over that I think is the way we think about various aspects of the card images (assuming RWS here), whether deliberately or intuitively. Sometimes - depending on the deck - I focus on the figures in the cards and imagine them having a conversation, or just looking at their expression and bodily position wonder what might be going on between them - perhaps they are in disagreement or concord? Sometimes there is a sequence, and sometimes th…

I'm not sure whether this is the correct section to post this but I couldn't find one that fits the topic, so I apologise in advance if this is in the wrong spot <3 I recently.. well a couple months now.. got a new tarot deck, but every time I do a reading, I always feel like I'm not able to really understand or connect to the cards fully, to be able to understand the answers. Usually I read intuitively, whatever feelings I am getting from the imagery of the cards, or whatever emotions strikes me. When I read with my legacy of the divine deck, I used to be able to connect very quickly and feel at ease trusting whatever I feel from the cards. For this new de…

Hello, I am not sure the thread is at its correct place, please move if necessary... I am Coach and use tarot in my work if the clients are ok with the images. As I like the work with parts of personalities I found a way to use my cards in inner family constellations. In that case, I do not use spreads and lie the cards down, but use them upright, standing. The client might put them the way he likes, some facing each other, some turning away from another, or some looking in the same direction. I found out that the effect is a completely different one from cards lying on the table. This way the persons on the cards may 'communicate' with each other. I can ask …

Dear members, I was casually browsing through a store and one corner had several tarot decks. One particular deck caught my attention, and surprising part is when I ran my hands over that deck I felt very gentle cool breeze coming from it. I tried runnin my hand over other cards too but that deck was kind of radiating that cool breeze - very very gentle breeze. What does it mean? ps: it was untouched I mean the boxed was closed and wrapped in plastic Regards

Like, if you were lusting after a very rare OOP deck for quite some time and what is currently available through Amazon/eBay/etc are horrendously, brazenly priced, and suddenly you spot a copy that's clearly counterfeit but does not really differ from the original quality-wise, would you give it a go? Or you found a bunch of knock-offs of popular decks that are compellingly, temptingly-priced, would you give in? In what cases might you be persuaded to buy an imitation Tarot deck? Altho the decks that I like are very rarely available locally (I think I had to import around 70% of my collection), I have never bought a bogus deck. Maybe that's because they are quite scarc…

My partner and I wanted to explore our relationship through the cards. Could we do a joint reading or would it only work if we did separate reading for each of us?

If you were to choose a Court Card that would most accurately represent you based on your personality, interests, dislikes, etc, which one would it be? In what ways do you resemble it, and in what ways would you diverge from the archetype? Choose only one, alright? :) I'm quite curious as to which court cards our members would choose to embody them. ;)

Hi all  happy holidays! I was curious to know what the Tarot had to say about voice quality, tone, little quirks about it, etc. I asked it about my voice, singing and speaking, at its most positive + beautiful, and I got the Page of Cups. So out of curiosity, what do you think the court cards sound like? High-pitched, soft-spoken, melodious, baritone?

I learned tarot by studying books by Eden Gray and others. Ms. Gray says in her book that hair color of the seeker should match the hair color correspondence of the specific suits. For instance a Sword court card for a dark brown haired person. I often find that a card going by hair color alone doesn’t fit the quarant personalities. Like I might have a very artistic dreamy person whose hair is dark brown (Swords) but a rather a Cups court card instead. So I choose based on their personality trains rather than the tarot definition. In the reading itself I pay more attention to hair colors. How do you feel about this topic? Of course sometimes a Major see…

Hi everyone 👋 I'm still relatively new to Tarot, and I'm finding the court cards really difficult to understand . I cant seem to connect with them, iv tried to make stories up between all the court cards as I read this can help, but I'm still feeling clueless. Hey all! To better understand the courts -I was toying with the following idea: Since Majors are seen as higher principles/ideas and courts are often viewed as people/ situations/aspects of our everyday life - I was thinking of pairing each court+ Reversed with its corresponding Major (Mostly looking at the RWS system) This is what I came up with so far and am comfortable with- Feel free to add/change/provide your own insights Queen of Pentacles= Empress- both in terms of creativity, caring for others, growth and of course fertility Queen of Cups= The High Priestess- In terms of being connected to one's intuition, a b…

Over the last week i have been looking at different printing companies that can help me create a Tarot book and deck, i have compiled all of my short stories on my blog and i've been creating a large size colouring book and card set. The print services i'm using gives the author the option to design and upload their artwork or you can choose from a number of book cover Templates, and the process of uploading the PDF files is quite straight-forward. I'm currently using two Book printing services to see which one gives me the best results, both printing companies give you a free IBSN Code so your able to sell your product in their shop store, i wanted to ask what's been…

Just curious to learn how many readers here sometimes creatively rearrange the cards at the end of a reading? Reading the cards as they fall usually suffices to offer the seeker a well received message, but i find sometimes, especially if the content of a reading has focused on difficult or discouraging aspects of a situation, if the take away insight seems inconclusive or vague, it definitely proves constructive rearranging the cards into new shapes or groupings, perhaps even making a mandala of them as if to suggest "these are the resources and dynamics we have to work with, how can we rearrange them to serve our highest intentions for personal / situational develop…

I've always wondered whether whether the person getting a Tarot reading asks their central query aloud or whether the Tarot reader has to intuit what the querent wants from the reading. I've read quite a few guides but this aspect has never been covered in detail. I'm obviously a beginner and would be fascinated to hear member's views 🙂

Hi everyone! I decided to start a new thread on this particular subject because I started making some Tarot boxes. I often do custom DVD/Blu-ray covers for my movie collection, and I decided to do the same for some of my Tarot decks. I plan to do custom boxes for decks that comes in kits. The kits comes with a book and most of the time, the cards doesn't have a box to store the deck. For years I stored them in bags but it's hard (for me) to remember which deck is stored in which bag; i'm struggling when I want to pile them up; and I saw that some decks might bend with time. Mine are rather simple, and I don't add any UPC code or anything fancy, but it's perfect to be p…

Hi all! My first post, so I hope it's in the right place.... I'm a new Tarot user, and as such am very much learning as I go. I make sure I do a daily 3-card spread. I do find 'linking' the cards quite hard. Today, I pulled the Seven Of Wands, Nine Of Pentacles, and Justice. I read that as keeping up my confidence, appreciating what I have, and that I'm on the right path (an explanation I read of Justice?) That would fit with me right now - I'm in need of some good luck, though.....

I have a question about daily cards in general and how you all treat them. I do them for myself, sometimes once a day, sometimes I pull for the week. How do you view them or utilize them? Would you see them more as a snapshot of what the day will hold for you, or more like a meditation to learn more about the specific card? I've started mostly using jumpers for the daily draws, and in cases where more than one card comes out, I tend to take that as more of a message I'm meant to receive rather than just something to reflect on. What are your thoughts?

Do you do daily draws? How accurate do you find them? I tried to do some for practice, but found them mostly hit or miss and often felt like I was grasping at straws to make them fit the actual events of the day. I don't know if I'm doing it wrong or if something?

Because my daily draws had been getting rather monotonous and uninspired recently, I went looking for something to shake them up a bit; something from outside my bubble, a question to answer with the cards in a way that would make the process feel fresh again. I stumbled on the 'Daily Haloha' app, which is wonderful; each day there is a prompt, your reply gets sent out anonymously, and you get another response back (there is also a wall with daily replies to read). Not designed with tarot in mind, but I've found that drawing a card and running with that imagery to formulate a reply often works really well! And it's very light and low-pressure, perfec…
