I’ve read a lot about the hermit after feeling so low and in my shell , loosing faith etc what I have researched so far is that he signifies “god” and I really wanted to share something really special with you , well when I was 15 say I was always playing with my deck and found myself in the cards with the characters well one night I dreamed I was in a dark alley with the hermit I offered him help up the stairs everything seemed much darker to me than him as he had a lantern to help him along he was neither proud or undignified by my offer but simply outstretched his lantern and in his lantern was the Star of David and then Joseph’s face in the flames creating light…

Lately I've been chewing on the subject of "keyword overload" for tarot beginners. I wrote a couple of posts on it that take their inspiration from the more focused approach of Lenormand. I call it more "inductive" (start small and build) than "deductive" (try to swallow and digest the whole thing at once). Our romance with the synonym could be the culprit. The original post is linked to this one. https://parsifalswheeldivination.com/2020/07/14/down-with-the-synonym-variations-on-a-theme/

Sometimes I think that we're all just making things up. That we're just imagining the cards are saying things when they're just pretty images on cardboard. What can a deck of cards really say about anything? Are we simply making the general messages fit into our lives because we want to believe the messages are from a divine source? Is there really magic in Tarot? In divination? How do you deal with doubts like these? And sometimes I'm blown away by the accuracy of a tarot reading and think yeah there's definitely something magical about these cards. They do sometimes seem to pick up on things that the reader couldn't have known. It's amazing sometimes how the…

I'm so curious about how others have gotten started reading Tarot professionally. Any insight into what you did that worked for you or mistakes that you made along the way would be greatly appreciated. In time, I hope to offer readings in this way but feel I have more time that I must dedicate to study and offering them as a free service to others before I can do that. Blessings xx

I just want to share my knight of cups experience. This month I started massaging again. I got a client who looked smitten all over me. His eyes sparkled. He touched his chest sensually whilst grinning at me. Told me he loved my music. He loved my magic hands and said my touch was amazing. Constantly told me I was beautiful, attractive and that he really likes me. He said he wishes he could chat to me all day. That he wished he could see me again real soon. Far out, I was overwhelmed. Then when he left my massage session he would text me the same stuff. He knows I’m married, but claims he doesn’t care. I Sussed him out further. Turns out he had a gf he was quite happy …

I am always afraid to say anything but if the signs keep coming up I will sometimes mention possibly involvement with other people of the opposite sex or flirting but never put it so bluntly ever...more literal and upfront though if they ask about it or mention it in particular. I will only mention anything if I am very certain and I keep getting this feeling from them..So what do you do...? On one hand I feel it's wrong to say nothing when you see something like this...on the other what if I'm wrong and I have them paranoid for no reason; it's a really tricky situation to navigate. :(

I am a newbie and interested in exploring more about spreads. I am eyeing two books on amazon but at the moment can only get one. There is one by Barbara Moore and one by Liz Dean. Are either of these recommended, and if so, is one better than the other? Or if there's another book that you recomend please let me know. Thank you.

Wands - sms/email Swords - call/personal meet Cups - some passive form of communication - gift/invitation card/flowers Pentacles - handwritten letter, or email/invite for personal meet with pre-selected date in advance. What do you think?

How many here have the Celtic Cross as their GENERAL go to in readings for themselves and/or others? I know it can depend on the type of reading, what a client may want, what they wish to know, but how many tend to use the Celtic Cross more than other spreads? And, if not, is there a spread you use more than others?

I recently started working with my decks again, and am struggling hardcore with one deck. I have a copy of the Samhain Deck of the Bastard that I purchased in 2014, and I feel like I need an eye exam anytime I try to use it. The images are so dark and muddled that even fluorescent lights right over me don't help in illuminating the imagery, let alone the keywords I had her print on the cards for me. I don't know if the copy I received is just slightly darker than some of the images online, or if that's how they are meant to look. But I find myself regretting buying it, because it isn't legible for me. I showed it to my husband and he also struggled to read the cards, whic…

Hello Everyone- This morning was the first time I have ever used a significator...The reading was on behalf of my husband, although I asked the question...I have always felt that choosing a significator was strange. But, over the years that I have been studying Tarot, I have begun to associate a specific card with my husband, It personifies his personality and thus I choose the 10 of Wands. My question is this: Has anyone personified a particular card to an actual person that isn't a Court Card? TIA

I often do a "5-4-3-2-1" exercise to ground, and I discovered it can actually be used in tarot to really get into the cards and read from a different perspective! To start off, let me explain the grounding exercise. It starts by finding 5 things that you can see, then 4 things that you can hear, then 3 things that you can smell, then 2 things you can touch, then 1 thing you can sense. The idea is that by doing this, you can get out of your head and back into your body, but I've been using it to get into a card! I do this by pulling a 3 card spread, using a deck that has people in it. Then, I choose one of them that is the basis of the reading (usually the middle ca…

Merry Christmas everyone, For my 18th Christmas this year ive gotten the Essential Tarot by Mary Hanson-Roberts. As I was shuffling the deck I heard a gentle, kind, elderly but masculine voice in my head saying "I'm Chris I'm looking forward to work with you." I was pretty shocked to hear this I stopped shuffling and just looked at the artwork of the cards. Afterwards I went onto the internet to look up Tarot deck personalities. So I then asked Chris a few questions about his physical appearence as a deck. I've gotten these two cards that feature and elderly man in his 70s with weathered skin, short grey but wavy hair with a gentle and kind personality. So for now on…

I am frequently recreating a reading in a word programming document for a personal record or to send to a client. I always do this by hand, although I have created some of my own templates. I'm just wondering if a program exists that displays different spreads, i.e. a Celtic Cross spread. Then you can import and slap in your own cards? Having set decks in a program just would not work for me. I would want to import my own. I have many many scanned images of many many decks. The decks that I use are a fairly eclectic mix so I would not find them in a program that included various decks. Thanks for your help!

I'm curious if anyone has experience with a specific spread that they've found to be particularly helpful in showing them a path towards a particular goal? I've been using the Work Cycle, and I like it, and my results with it have been interesting but not quite the "clear path forward" that I'm hoping for when I use it. But maybe I just need to sit with it more.

I feel like I'm in this huge pitch black cavern in my life. I don't know how big it is. I don't know where the walls are. It's so dark I can't tell up from down. I want to know what's coming, something solid to grasp onto, but even the tarot cards don't seem to know. So I feel like I'm asking the wrong questions, but I asked the cards what I should be asking and I don't get an answer. Or at least I should clarify that I'm getting circular answers. A leads to B, B leads to C, and C leads to A. I understand about free choice and how it means the future isn't set. And so I go round and round. Has anyone experienced this and did you ever find the question you need…

Hey everybody, After a break from tarot, I've decided to come back full force by doing a daily read and posting it online as a sort of tarot diary to keep building on my skill as a tarot reader. 3 cards that have always stumped me though (apart from the court cards) are Judgement, Justice and Temperance. I can't draw a clear line between the three to differentiate them and explain them better. Judgement for me means finding out what the querent thinks is best for them; Justice is finding what is morally or ethically right for the querent; Temperance is like a combination of the two, what is right morally but also what the querent thinks would benef…

I have been reading tarot on and off so feel free to correct me 🙂 So I find that The Moon, regardless of the context, all meanings can apply: being delusional about something, but also being so in touch with your intuition others might see it as madness. It also means “not all is known… for now” but I rarely get it in readings about uncovering the truth. I get it mostly in readings about manifestations which for me establishes it’s meaning of “from dream to reality, guided by strong intuition”. Thoughts? Experiences?
