Hi All, I've read that if you do not read tarot (specifically the RWS) with reversals, that you are missing out on a true reading and other levels. However I have a question about how this works. Let's say a card accidentally gets reversed. At what point does it get back up? Or do you just forever keep it reversed? Or do you put it back upright once you've pulled it? And also, it is absolutely necessary to read with reversals?

I love my Grand Etteilla! The art, the whole tall dark stranger vibe, the extra cards... Can you tell me if Grand jeu de l Oracle des Dames is just another name for basically the same deck? I'm doing something really difficult and want to reward myself...

Hey everyone. I've been watching several different people do readings and I'm working on starting at the basics with a three card spread with my RWS deck. (I decided to save the Thoth for later). It seems to me that the major arcana can be tricky to read because it's tempting to put too much emphasis on them in the intrepration. After all they have big, more archetypial meanings and more flashy artwork. Here's an example. A person asked for a reading and asked about information about finding thier spirit guide. The past/present/future three card spread I got was Devil-ace of cups-five of swords. It was real tempting to see the devil and freak out. This wa…

In my area of the country, tonight is the full moon, and the lunar eclipse will also begin at 11:41PM EST. Imagine my delight when the first card in my spread this morning was The Moon, and the "bonus" card (one that popped out while I was shuffling) was the Ace of Coins. Which kind of looks like the face a full moon :) I've been fortunate to witness a total lunar eclipse before. Tonight's may or may not be visible; right now we have varying levels of cloud cover, and pretty heavy winds to boot. But the anticipation is still exciting. It's been a while since I've charged any of my decks with a full moon. I'll be honest: I'm still not sure where I fall on the spiritual …

Is anyone familiar with a site WTarot, that sells decks? It seems...not quite legit to me? (I apologize in advance and will eat my words if it is.) It just seems odd that they say they have an OOP deck like Roots of Asia for $58, and then they have an IN print deck like Dreams of Gaia for...$68? Anyone have experience with this site?

I am feeling more FOUR OF SWORDS. Not sick, just kind of pensive, and it's a cold and snowy day, perfect for some rest and rejuvenation and reflection!

The Wildwood Tarot...it refuses to work with me and has refused since day one. I've had the Wildwood Tarot for several years but it has never, ever been a reader for me. Ever. I've done everything I can think of to get it to warm to me. I've cleansed it with incense, moonlight, sunlight, the elements. I've carried it around with me. It's rested on my nightstand while I sleep. I've set crystals on it. I've tried meditating on and journaling my daily draws. I've shuffled it and shuffled it and shuffled it and still, nothing. I'll leave it alone for awhile and return to it months and months later to see if anything has changed and still no. I want to work with this de…

Melissa Jo Hill (formerly SassySibyl of Melissa Lenormand fame) has a new website up and running and is offering a free 30 day Tarot course. Thirty Days of Tarot From her blog post: I’ve created this course, not to be an introduction to Tarot, but rather, to be an introduction to the kind of play and immersion that’s possible with the Tarot. Each day, a new lesson will be published on the site (and students will get this via email as well). The lessons include invitations to dig in, each day, to create a daily Tarot practice that incorporates the cards in different areas of life—from the ritual to the mundane. :)

I feel like I'm in this huge pitch black cavern in my life. I don't know how big it is. I don't know where the walls are. It's so dark I can't tell up from down. I want to know what's coming, something solid to grasp onto, but even the tarot cards don't seem to know. So I feel like I'm asking the wrong questions, but I asked the cards what I should be asking and I don't get an answer. Or at least I should clarify that I'm getting circular answers. A leads to B, B leads to C, and C leads to A. I understand about free choice and how it means the future isn't set. And so I go round and round. Has anyone experienced this and did you ever find the question you need…

Hi everyone. Does anyone else ever get Tarot fatigue? I was trying to work with the cards last night, and I couldn't make any sense of them at all. Not only that, for a while I felt like I never wanted to see another Tarot card ever again. It was really frustrating, and I finally just gave up for the night. Do you ever feel like this, and if you do, how do you deal with it?

Hi all, I'm trying to track down a deck of Tarot cards for my wife I'm hoping you guys can help me.. Ok quick backstory, whilst staying with friends in France on vacation, our friend had a pack of Tarot cards on his shelf. My wife says oh I can read Tarot, (news to me!) allow me to show you the basics.. So she did an example reading for him. He drew some cards and she read them leaving him and his partner (and myself) gobsmacked. It was very accurate and left everyone a tad awkward. I later asked my wife about this, she said her great grandmother taught her and she used to read everyones cards in the village as a teenager. She also said our friends cards didn't…

Hey everyone! Has anyone used the Akashic Tarot by Sharon Anne Klingler and Sandra Anne Taylor? I just got this deck with the purpose of doing some past life work. I am hoping it will be wonderful for past life readings for others. But I am not exactly sure where or how to start with this. Are there any study groups or deposits of knowledge or guidance that one could tap, or could we start a study circle for this deck? I feel like it has tremendous potential but that such potential can better be tapped in a sharing setting. Thank you! ~Shanachie05.

I did self enquery with the question: "What is my fate?" Temperance King of Swords King of Wands Does this mean I will be a blend of these two attributes? I have tough time understanding what it means. For the record, I have zero confidence and self esteem, a coward in other words. But I am "clever" or intellectually focused if that is anyway related.

What do you think. Do you need to be alert and fully conscious to read? Do you do readings when you're in need of a nap? Does it help or hinder to be five steps closer to dreamy dream land? I'm asking because I'm tired a lot and even coffee has no impact on me. I feel if I'm too tired there's no way I could make sense of tarot cards. Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk

I've been under a rock and am just getting this one. What in the world do you call the cardstock? I'm impressed by the deck, the presentation, the companion digest...but my mind keeps whispering, is it rubber? haven't shuffled it yet, I'm still checking all the cards are here. thanks!

I was inspired to adress this topic after seeing a video by Avalon Cameron on her patreon page that discussed the concept of Sacred Balance. She spoke about the importance of figuring out exactly what you yourself are made of so that you can understand what imbalances you and how to correct it to be fully grounded. So not everyone will find that going barefoot or spending time in nature will make them grounded. There are many different sorts of imbalances - plus there are also some people that suffer from being too grounded. Being too grounded can manifest itself in ways where you carry excess weight, feel stuck and don't like to leave home. Perhaps you overindulge in foo…

Hi everyone! Besides being a tarot enthusiast, I am also a board game geek and wanted to share a cute little discovery of mine... I came across this simple game called "Shahrazad", which is supposed to be about fairy tales from around the world. But the names of the 22 tiles (visible through the link below) more than rings a bell for you and me ;) https://boardgamegeek.com/image/3855430/shahrazad I thought that if there are other tarotistas who like board games around, they might be interested! It's a very simple game where you have to lay the tiles one after the other in a certain way so as to score as many points as possible. It's also one of those little gam…

I'm not sure I've titled this question clearly. But a few times I've come across a negative answers to a positive question and positive answers in negative spaces, where it becomes very difficult to understand how a card could be read positively or negatively. For example asking "What is not broken in this relationship?" and getting the Three of Swords in that position. Is this saying "Everything is broken. RUN." or is the Three of Swords in this position saying "Broken hearts are not irreparably broken." Or you ask "What went wrong in the relationship between the Q and their ex?" And you get the Ten of Cups? How can you judge it negatively? Is it saying "Actually, …

hello all, im still relatively new into this, been doing daily tarot for awhile now so recently I met this person that I really wanna be friends with this person. but the person seems to kinda ignore me from time to time and its kinda.... making me feel sad/irritated/angry basically mixed feelings so im wondering if there is a spread to see whether we are meant to be friends or a spread to give me some form of solutions or see what we think of one another or some chance. sorry if its a bit personal :( Thank you all in advance

For me, I like to use the 3 cards spread. I find that easy. Sometimes, though, I use the celtic cross.

For me, I remember I fell in love when I look at the rider waite cards. I bought it and started playing around with it.

Is anyone doing Ethony's 31 Days of Tarot for 2019? Anyone interested in doing this here at TT&Me? Maybe our own version? Mods?

Do you let other people use your decks? I generally don't.

How do you shuffle your cards? Do you cut them by hands or fan them out or do something else? And why do you choose to shuffle your cards the way you do?
