Do you think readings made on Youtube (pick a pile readings) are accurate? I can see there's quite a lot videos done for it. Sent from my RNE-L22 using Tapatalk

Do you think the fool is a good card to receive in a love reading (specially if the question is yes or no)?

How do you prefer to read tarot card combinations? 1. By order of what card comes first 2. By arcana (major first) 3. As long as the cards appear on the same reading, does not matter Sent from my RNE-L22 using Tapatalk

So, I finally got my Mary-El and something has happened with this Tarot that has never happened with any of my others. I feel like trimming the edges. Of course, I've never done this before, so any deck modification scares the bejesus out of me. Should I? Should I not? Do I then edge the cards? Round the corners? Would like to write with gold pen on the cards, but which type of gold marker? ?????? I desperately need your help with this. Thank you, kindly! <3

Hello everyone, I’ve just joined and am new to the spiritual side of life. I had a very distinct clairvoyant experience a couple of weeks ago (confirmed my visions were accurate and true) and have since dived into this world to explore. One of the things I’m exploring is the tarot. I’m becoming a tad overwhelmed by all the info available on reading tarot. I bought a couple of books (‘The Tarot Bible’ and ‘The Only Tarot Book You’ll Ever Need’), a rider-waite deck from Amazon (rookie mistake) so I went to an astrology shop in Covent Garden today and hand picked a deck that I liked and I was drawn to. I’m confused as to how to interpret the cards. Both books interp…

I've been looking into telling time with the tarot and have found a few site links that I decided to share. It seems time is as elusive in the tarot as it is in RL. The listed links are from individual readers that have their own techniques. I hope you all find something to glean from these sites. https://www.llewellyn.com/blog/2014/03/timing-techniques/ https://78nightsoftarot.com/blog/telling-time-with-tarot/ https://www.biddytarot.com/timing-techniques-in-tarot/ http://www.tarotteachings.com/how-to-read-tarot-time.html http://angelorum.co/topics/divination/timing-in-tarot-with-free-cheat-sheets/ http://www.tarotingie.com/time-events-using-tarot/ …

What does it mean when you get two court cards and a major in a reading to some off you guys out their.

I did a reading for someone today, and got all four kings in the spread. It was a reading about a spesific love interest, and both the sitter and her love interest are very young, so it baffled me a bit. I was like "so many MEN". But I doubt she has four potential love interest. King of pentacles was placed in her past, king of wands on the position for "this will help you", and the result was king of swords flanked by king of cups and the high priestess. I just get the feeling there's something she doesn't know about her situation yet The court cards are tricky. I'm not necessarily looking for an answer on this particular spread, but maybe some of you have s…

It looks like our kind facilitator for the Circle of Seasons exchange has had to be away for a bit, and I thought for August I could facilitate just a general circle similar to the old Newbies Circle at AT -- i.e. welcoming to any level of experience, no particular theme, a suggested spread with 3 - 5 cards. Would you be interested in that next month? I haven't facilitated a circle, and can't promise I could do it every month, but with the mentor program in place, I thought it would be nice to have a second tarot circle in August to go along with ISG. If it turns out that COS will be running in August, that's great too, and in that case we could probably just …

i guys I was looking for a professional tarot section,, but since there isn't one , I will post my discussion here. this is my tenth year reading tarot at the pow wow, yay , I am now 43,, a bit grayer,, hopefully more experienced. ah where to begin, the master goal is to get 300 ,, a good goal is to get 250,, a standard goal is 200,, and anything less dont' bode well for the weekend goal of 500 to 600. so I got up early alas,, I been training myself to wake up early all week but 730 am is too early for me. anyhow I got up ,, slowly got ready,, we got down there about 1., got set up about 130.. and I started to read the tarot. the first reading tarot…

Do you use multiple decks in a single reading. How often do you do this, and for what types of readings? Do you have go-to spreads that you use for these combos? What deck combinations do you prefer? Novices are understandably reluctant to do this, but some pros like to include a few oracle cards in their Tarot readings. Some think that this gives some depth to their interpretations, while others think that it only distracts from the main message that your guides, deepest self, etc wish to tell you. They do look so good on a spread tho, especially if the aesthetics of the decks match.

I read (or perhaps saw on a video) advice that cards for a live reading should be dealt faced down, then turned over in sequence and explained as you went along. I think it was for Celtic Cross, but the rational applies to all larger spreads. This was because if you showed a distracting card, like Death, in say the near future or outcome position, the querent wouldn't hear anything you said about any earlier card; they'd be too fixated on the red button card you hadn't got to yet. However, I've tried practicing this way online and it's hard. I don't know really know what a card means, except in the context of the other cards. This means I waffle a lot then do a big …

I’m curious to know if anyone has any experience with the 3 of wands when asking about love life eg: ‘what will my love life be like.’ I use the mythic tarot deck but I’ll also refer to the rider Waite tarot. When I look at mythic deck I see a traveller holding three wands (I don’t know what that represents) and he is startled and contemplating the man offering the crown. I see this as the man offering to be in the guy’s life. He’s showing he wants to be a part of it and will do anything. But the guy standing is wondering if that’s really a good idea. So perhaps this shows that during travels the querent will meet someone who is deeply, or should I say intrudingly, …

for those of you who read the tarot at fairs, events,, know possibly what I am talking about. but before I get to that.. I remember on atf,, doing past life reading after past life reading,,feeling like it was work,, it was no longer fun ! also I felt like my expanded my crown and third eye to much. so I found for the past years,, after reading at the pow wow, and fair respectively which is 2 days in a row,,or 3 days for the fair.. that is assuming you are busy aka getting clients. that i have to take a day or two to recover. i remember this one week,, i went to sweat lodges, did channeling, and was reading the tarot as i was spiritually addicted (for me…

Among all these intriguing (and mainly symbolical) pictures, the girl on the 8 of Swords enjoyed my special attention: she reminds me of these scary Japanese vengeful spirits with long black hair - onryo. Even my boyfriend is afraid of them, as they're quite atmospheric. And the environment further adds the tension: swords, bondage, barren plain with a lone mountain. I think she'd make a great character for a horror movie or a videogame with this appearance, and what do you think of her? Also, can she make a significator for an onryo? xD

it happens to everyone ,, you are in a middle of a great reading,, then all the sudden KAPOW blank mind , it seems like everything you ever known about the tarot has left your brain, ! there is the old (new to some who never heard of this i guess) techique of using numerology to correspond cards with other cards,, mary k greer eve wrote a book on called tarot contellations . you take your double digits numbers and add them. 15 becomes 6 ! so the devil becomes the lovers , and everything moves by the hermit card in the tarot consellations. i was thinking of that further and discerned if you can add the numbers then you must be able to subtract the numbers..…

Hello tarot friends, I'm looking for a little advice regarding a difficult tarot deck :). Last year, after much longing, I finally got my hands on a copy of the beautiful Wildwood Tarot. We had a little shuffle, I did my first draw and I got a nonsensical answer. Okay, teething problems, I thought to myself. I did something I would normally never do and cleansed the deck with sage and reiki and put it away for a while. I keep getting drawn to this deck and every couple of months I take it out but each time, I get the snarkiest answers! Like, I ask it how it wants to be worked with and it gives me the three of swords. This sounds ridiculous but I'm starting to thi…

Do you use your decks in predicting the outcomes of observable events like sports games, the stock market, reality TV shows, etc.? What can you say is your batting average? If it's rather high, do you hesitate to cash in on your skill, or do you think that it's somehow disrespectful of your gift? Care to share your favorite spreads, the ones that give you the most accurate results?

I did a reading today, a love reading. And I got queen of cups, page of cups, king of cups, the devil in the same reading. I also got temperence and seven pentacles as the result. I don't know why, but I got a really strong feeling that the sitter is an alcholic, or addicted to something (dating? men?). I find this a bit troubling, actually. What do I say? Do I ask? Is it something one mentions? Anyone else ever got this feeling? What do you say?

So far, I've only been offering free readings online at a forum and anonymously. How do people find you? Offering readings for friends would be odd, because I know them, and that could make me biased. I've gotten 95% positive feedbacks so far, so I guess that makes me want to continue learning more.

I'm used to shuffling playing cards. Even with these I find the standard shuffle, moving cards to the front and back of the deck takes ages to get them random. I prefer to riffle shuffle. My RWS deck is slightly larger as well as having lots more cards and I can only just riffle, by splitting the pack into four and doing two riffles. I'm not using reverses at the moment so I have to riffle vertically to keep the card's orientation, which is harder than riffle shuffling horizontally. Now I'm thinking about buying the new Lo Scarabeo Visconti Modrone deck, which is larger still. One of the things holding me back is worry that I just won't be able to shuffle them prope…
