I agree with this and many readers choose to never read reversals. It is not necessary, however, it does mean that each card has to be considered as though it may not be the positive meaning. Hi i had an old tarot deck which was so accurate . I used to keep clear quartz on it . And also kept in full moon light . When I shuffle it accurate cards comes automatically . Now the cards i have they are not tuned to my energy . I'm having raider white card now.... Before I had dead girl tarot card. any recommendations ? Blessings

Last night I realized I only had 77 cards in my RWS deck instead of 78. I went through all my cards and figured out the four of cups is missing. i have no idea when I lost the card. I looked for it in places I thought it could be, but I couldn’t find it. What should I do? This is the main deck I use for readings. It’s an old friend, and I certainly don’t want to get rid of it. Should i purchase an identical deck and just replace the missing card? This is so terrible. I don’t know what to do.

When reading the tarot, are you intuitive, or do you rely on traditional meanings? I am a combination of both. I am 30% intuitive, 70% rely on traditional meanings.

I noticed that aside from the folks here and in AT whom I've exchanged readings with, I've never really had my cards read by anyone else. So yeah I'm just curious about your experiences. What is the most memorable reading you've ever received from anyone? It may be because it had a very positive impact upon your life, it may have been truly eye-opening and inspiring, or it might be memorable because it's one of the messiest, most unfortunate ordeals you've ever went through. This is no holds barred btw, so don't be afraid to spill plenty of beans. ;D

Around a year ago, I marvelled at how all of Llewellyn's new releases were released in sturdy box kits. Their previous sets came in heavily derided, flimsy paper boxes, and I guess they finally listened to the public's clamor for something that would not easily fall apart with minor handling. In the thread that I linked, I did wish that they would also release their beloved classic Tarot kits in hard boxes too. I love the Tarot of Vampyres and the Golden Dawn Magical Tarot and use them often, so the boxes that they came in are now in a sorry state. I wished that if I do buy backup copies, these would come in sturdier boxes since I prefer keeping my deck and book sets i…

Okay, it's time to fess up. Has anybody here used the Tarot to guide them when they are/were dating? I'm just curious. :) I have to admit that I sometimes do this, but not in a creepy, stalker-y way. When I perform date readings (which again is not too often), it's only to know how the date would go, if I have anything to watch out for, stuff like that. I rarely read about the other party. I only do so if I have misgivings about them like when the things they say don't add up, if they're quite shady, or if I suspect that I'm being catfished. This is almost de rigeur when it comes to blind dates lol.

This trimming is not taking place out of aesthetical reasons. I actually really like how it looks visually, and it is already borderless. My issue is the size of it. I struggle with larger decks as I have achy hands. And since this is a deck I am so madly in love with I just knew there was no way that I wouldn’t try my best to trim it down to a more comfortable size. It took me a while to contemplate and plan it. I wanted to keep its proportions so I had to look at every card and measure how much I could remove. I settled on cutting away approximately 5mm per side. Hi everyone, I'm looking for opinions on deck quality from the various major publishers of decks. For example decks printed by US Games, Lewellyn etc rather than self published decks. How do you find the card stock and durability of these kind of mass produced decks? Is one company better than another in any respect?

I've been thinking a lot about intuition and I'd like to know what works for you, whether you are naturally highly intuitive or struggle(d) to get there. Basically I have three areas I'm curious about: 1.) What, if any, are the things you do (methods/rituals/set-ups, etc.) that help you access your intuition, or put you in the headspace to do so? 2.) What have you found to help you trust your intuition? 3.) What kind of tarot decks or imagery do you feel you can more easily read intuitively? I have read people saying that if they get a deck in which the backs of card and definitely oriented to the card being turned over to the upright positions. That they don’t read these cards with reversal. I read with reversals, that’s the way I was taught. I don’t see what difference it makes whether the back is right side up or upside down. Do you think that knowing if I card will be reversed makes a difference? Some reversals are improvements over the main messages of the cards right side up. What do you guys do, do you read with reversals? Do you think decks with and upright back image should be only read without reversals. I have never seen that …

Hi everyone. :) I am just wondering, how do you keep your cards, store them safely? Usually, I keep the decks in a wooden box individually. I purchase the boxes from an art market vendor. The boxes are plain with a small mechanical lock. Then I carve the name of the deck on the box (so I know which deck is being stored and I don't have to open each box to get the deck that I search for). How about you?

What is your first experience like, reading for others? Me, I remembered I read for my dad and he told me my reading wasn't accurate and it was so discouraging for me. It was my first reading for others and it wasn't accurate. I wanted to give up tarot there and then. But I persevere, and other readings came and they were more accurate. And my confidence grew... by a little. I am still nervous when giving a face to face reading for others. Which is why I tend to do online readings. Enough about me. What about you? Lately I’ve been playing around doing readings with my most recent acquisition (Thoth) and my Froud’s Faeries Oracle. And, holy moly, these two combined in a reading together really pack a punch! It's been two weeks (at least) since a tower moment happened to me. I anticipated that moment (had a reading previously where I was told that I will lose something (5oC rx) because I just went with the flow, did nothing, let it be (hangedman rx). I learned tarot by studying books by Eden Gray and others. Ms. Gray says in her book that hair color of the seeker should match the hair color correspondence of the specific suits. For instance a Sword court card for a dark brown haired person. I often find that a card going by hair color alone doesn’t fit the quarant personalities. Like I might have a very artistic dreamy person whose hair is dark brown (Swords) but a rather a Cups court card instead. Hello all, there's a few things I'm wondering about and hope you can shed some light on it. I apologize if these questions have been asked before, but decided to put these rather short questions into one post. First question: why (or in what instances) could/should a significator be used? I understand the concept of it, just wasn't sure when and how it should be used. Second question: what benefits are there to using an Oracle deck, especially in conjunction with a tarot deck? What are the pros and cons? Last question is more of a comment; what are some good tips and tricks for people learning to read the cards intuitively?

Do you write down what you interpret from the tarot? I don't journal. Not for tarot, anyway. Yet, it is recommended by most tarot books that a practitioner should journal. Am I at a disadvantage, since I don't journal?

How do you remember what the cards' meanings are, without referring to books?

Have you ever sat for a reading and they pulled the 78 cards to do so? That was not my first reading, but I do remember it as an odd one. This guy started pulling cards, and cards, and cards, telling me all sorts of weird tales (marriage, pregnancy, children, etc.) leaving just TWO cards at the end for my questions. Needless to say I didn't like it, it made me feel awkward and uncomfortable, I didn't go back, and I wouldn't recommend him... but I learnt what not to do. What about you guys? Any weird or memorable experience as querents?
