Hello, I am new here, I have been interested in Tarot for many years and I try to do readings for myself and close friends, but I am not overly confident. Today I did a celtic spread for myself and the cards I think were quite relevant to what I was hoping to get some insight about but I am not too confident with my interpretation. Is there any section of this Forum where I could maybe post a picture of the reading and maybe have some help interpreting it please? Thanks in advance :)

Has anyone tried this app? I installed it in my Android, and oh it works! ;D You know how it sometimes seems like you're trying to catch a real Pokemon in your drawer when you set the camera on in Pokemon Go? It says that it's in AR mode, right? Yup, that's what AR means - Augmented Reality. Well this app is like that, except that when you put any Tarot card and look at it through this app + your smartphone's camera, some pretty awesome animation effects are invoked by the cards. A few keywords also appear on the card, and would change depending on whether it's upright or reversed. I'd post a vid this weekend, just so you can see what I'm talking about. It's so …

So 2 months ago I started a group online where I could do Tarot & Oracle readings to those who joined the group. I've been keeping the group private & small so that I do not overwhelm myself while I build this group up. I've been offering Free Tarot/Oracle readings once a week and have set up a Paypal link and explained the time & energy a reader puts into each reading and asked that people in the group make Donations of their choice in turn for tarot readings, outside of the Free readings I offer. My problem is that most in the group will volunteer for Free readings when I offer them up (all free readings I post on the group page so that all members can wa…

Is it necessary to possess a tarot certificate, in order to read tarot professionally?

1) So your shuffling your deck and your going to do a 3 card smaller reading... Out falls a card as your shuffling, so where you going to use it in your lay out? Ive never used the one that falls out, due to not sure where id put it? To clarify? or as a beginning first card? What would you do? 2)Where would you put it in a larger reading?

One difficulty for me in reading the tarot is the court cards. Any insights about how you go on reading them?

I was wondering what books do you think are for the Advanced Tarot Student? I would say Tarot Decoded from Elizabeth Hazel. But there must be more books, which focus on more than only the card meanings, so that you can become a better card reader. What books would you advise? Thanks.

So, just as a general study (transferring notes into a new notebook), I was looking at The Devil and it's interpretations. One of the books that I particularly like is "Tarot Reversals" by Mary K. Greer. In her article on The Devil - reversed, she writes; The reason I bring this up is because I can't help thinking (and have it in my notes) for similar meanings for the upright card. Seeing The Devil as the "false leader", dictators, corrupt politicians or batterers. I could see the victims of all of these as those chained to the block The Devil sits on, in most cases unable to change their circumstances or blind to what is going on. I am assuming that in this conte…

Hi guys :) The last couple of days I have been using the RWS-deck - and I have been getting Nine of Pentacles sooo many times. For me that cards means that I'm moving towards a goal. I'm not there yet - but I'm moving slow. Yesterday I used Tarot of the Cat People - and got Nine of Pentacles again! But in that card it feels like I'm at my goal - I have reached it. (You can see the card on Google here: https://www.google.dk/search?q=tarot+of+the+cat+people+nine+of+pentacles&tbm=isch&imgil=kLIZGn9awOI3EM%253A%253BQourBg-iu0lcZM%253Bhttps%25253A%25252F%25252Fwww.pinterest.com%25252Fbethbillh%25252Fcats-in-tarot-tarot-of-the-cat-people%25252F&source=iu…

I'm on the email list for the Capital Tarot Society (Rachelcat from AT's group based in Washington, D.C.), and this piece just got shared. Basically the idea is that the writer took each card from the Major Arcana and paired it with a book that she feels illustrates the principles of or relates to the card. Pretty cool idea! http://www.signature-reads.com/2017/09/reading-major-arcana-22-tarot-card-book-pairings/

I'm thinking about ordering an indie deck from overseas. The limit for how much you can spend before you have to pay import tax on goods you order from online isn't very high in my country so I know this deck + shipping will be over that limit. Basically I wonder which "genre" or type of goods tarot decks are shipping as? I know books are free to import and that is the closest thing I can think of to tarot decks. I figure there might not be many other Norwegians in this group but the rest of you might know what it could say on the label ;D Oh, and it's littleredtarots shop I'm thinking of ordering from.

So, I've been working with the Steampunk Tarot (Matthews) for a few days now. To start with, I have to say that, in the past 10 or so years, I can't really recall a reading where a Court card has come up and I've said that it specifically represents one individual. I've had them represent certain aspects of a person, or their influence on a situation, but not a "oh! This is specifically person A." And when I was beginning my Tarot studies, there were times when I would try to mentally force a Court card to be some individual or other in a reading, but of course that didn't work. In fact, over the years, I've come to expect that Court cards would generally be more about…

Hello all, Still recovering from a very intense week, but on a lighter note... i am curious what decks you are drawn to use during this Autumn/Samhain Season? i am planning on pulling out some of mine this morning...

Does anyone have any books of tarot spreads that they love and would recommend? If so what do you like about it? Thanks for any thoughts :)

if...hypothetically, you understand...a certain Thothie who has been out of the loop for years but who was intrigued by M.M.Meleen's decks ever had the funds to buy one of them, which would you recommend? Please discuss pros, cons, fronts, backs, size, stock, companion material etc. Fool's Dog apps are out, I'm afraid. I have one and it leaves me so cold and unfulfilled when I try to use it.

I've googled a lot of things and done some prep work (though I'm still missing incense) and I think I'm just about ready to start when the full moon hits (a friend told me I should cleanse my new deck under the full moon first before I use them since I don't have other means of cleansing them atm) and being around here got me thinking... I was wondering where and how you all started. What was your personal experience when first getting into Tarot and reaching your intuition? What knowledge do you think is good for a newbie to know beforehand and what would you pass on to someone just starting out?

hi everyone, in asking a question about how person A felt about reconciling with person B, the card drawn was the knight of swords, when asked to clarify this, the two of cups was drawn. i'm totally stuck on this one! to me the knight of swords has always been about jumping into things too quickly, without much thought but the two of cups is very much a loving and warm card to me. i am certain im missing the bigger picture here thanks for any input!

Wondering what these cards mean for feelings keep pulling 5 of cups rx and 3 of swords rx for a person's feelings and not sure how to interpret. I suppose it can be read as moving away from sadness to healing or perhaps trying to block out sadness...some sources say it means extreme sadness but I wouldn't take it as that at all...I tend to pull cards for myself so that I can better read for others but don't think I've ever pulled these for my own feelings so have no real life experience/confirmation of this reversal..what do you think? For now I'm sort of taking these as blocking emotional pain.

I want to expand my Astrology knowledge in the Tarot. I have already read the book from Corrine Kenner - Tarot and Astrology. Enhance Your Readings with the Wisdom of the Zodiac. But still I am struggling with the Astrology side. I was thinking about buying a new book about it. I am looking for the book from Muriel Bruce Hasbrouck -Tarot and Astrology. The Pursuit of Destiny. My questions are: Is this book from Muriel Bruce Hasbrouck good? Or do you have other recommendations for me, there must be more books about the topic Tarot and Astrology? Thanks.

If you have a new deck of cards (1 week old, about 5 readings in total, shuffled each time) and you've shuffled them a bit before the reading and pulled up a row (4 or 5) of the same suit, would you reshuffle? Would you discount the reading? I recently drew ridiculously favourable cards (a row of cups) for a situation that IRL looks dire. Should I re-do the spread?
