Do you use them? If yes, why? If no, why? It depends on the spread. I don't use it for 3 cards spread, but I will use it for celtic cross spread. I like the feel of significators. I like having something as a theme for me to work with.

What is your favourite or least favourite card? I don't have any least favourite. My favourite card is high priestess.

Do you write down what you interpret from the tarot? I don't journal. Not for tarot, anyway. Yet, it is recommended by most tarot books that a practitioner should journal. Am I at a disadvantage, since I don't journal?

What is your first experience like, reading for others? Me, I remembered I read for my dad and he told me my reading wasn't accurate and it was so discouraging for me. It was my first reading for others and it wasn't accurate. I wanted to give up tarot there and then. But I persevere, and other readings came and they were more accurate. And my confidence grew... by a little. I am still nervous when giving a face to face reading for others. Which is why I tend to do online readings. Enough about me. What about you? What is your first experience like, reading for others?

When reading the tarot, are you intuitive, or do you rely on traditional meanings? I am a combination of both. I am 30% intuitive, 70% rely on traditional meanings.

Wondering what these cards mean for feelings keep pulling 5 of cups rx and 3 of swords rx for a person's feelings and not sure how to interpret. I suppose it can be read as moving away from sadness to healing or perhaps trying to block out sadness...some sources say it means extreme sadness but I wouldn't take it as that at all...I tend to pull cards for myself so that I can better read for others but don't think I've ever pulled these for my own feelings so have no real life experience/confirmation of this reversal..what do you think? For now I'm sort of taking these as blocking emotional pain.

So, I was doing my usual daily reading on my eating problems (daily struggle with over-eating). Granted, it is only a 3-card reading (Issue - Blockage - Contemplate), so statistically, having all 3 of the cards come up Majors shouldn't be all that unusual. But, it really doesn't happen very often. Going back through my notes on self-readings; I started picking up my Tarot decks this past May and have done readings about this topic on most days. Counting today, there have been only 3 readings in which all 3 cards were Majors. Two of them have had The Star and two had The Chariot. So, just as a general study (transferring notes into a new notebook), I was looking at The Devil and it's interpretations. One of the books that I particularly like is "Tarot Reversals" by Mary K. Greer. In her article on The Devil - reversed, she writes; The reason I bring this up is because I can't help thinking (and have it in my notes) for similar meanings for the upright card. Hi all - am very new to this forum so let me know if this is the wrong place to post this question My question was "what was a reason why (person 1) and I did not work out?" and the card I pulled was the Sun Could anyone share their insight on this? The only thing I could think of was that maybe there was too much too soon? But I'd love other opinions

Doesn't it mean more work for you to work out whether the card is positive or negative or to figure out a narrative? Or do you just accept that the card's meaning is probably a combination of both negative and positive aspects? I'm new to tarot and I presently don't read reversals but that's more because I have a semi-heart attack whenever I see them (like when I see 'the tower' upright). Now i'm wondering whether it'd make my life a tad more easier to do so.

I am searching for a book what tells me more about the Kabbalah related to the Tarot. I have seen that Rachel Pollack has written a book about it called: The Kabbalah Tree: A Journey of Balance & Growth. I was wondering if you would recommend me this book, or that there are other books, that are better on the Kabblah subject related to the Tarot. Thanks.

If you have a new deck of cards (1 week old, about 5 readings in total, shuffled each time) and you've shuffled them a bit before the reading and pulled up a row (4 or 5) of the same suit, would you reshuffle? Would you discount the reading? I recently drew ridiculously favourable cards (a row of cups) for a situation that IRL looks dire. Should I re-do the spread?

Do you have any favorite podcasts or youtubers? I've only really watched Kelly-Ann Maddox, and love her channel dearly, but would love some suggestions. Anything really educational/thought provoking with some meaty content. :D

But still I am struggling with the Astrology side. I was thinking about buying a new book about it. I am looking for the book from Muriel Bruce Hasbrouck -Tarot and Astrology. The Pursuit of Destiny. My questions are: Is this book from Muriel Bruce Hasbrouck good? Or do you have other recommendations for me, there must be more books about the topic Tarot and Astrology? Thanks.
