What is your first experience like, reading for others? Me, I remembered I read for my dad and he told me my reading wasn't accurate and it was so discouraging for me. It was my first reading for others and it wasn't accurate. I wanted to give up tarot there and then. But I persevere, and other readings came and they were more accurate. And my confidence grew... by a little. I am still nervous when giving a face to face reading for others. Which is why I tend to do online readings. Enough about me. What about you? What is your first experience like, reading for others?

Do you believe tarot tells the future or one's higher self? I seem to think alot of card interpretation these days are getting way out of hand.

Hi, I'm new here! Before this I know about tarot from a digital tarot app back then in 2017 or 2018, iirc. Back then I was so sceptical but now I started to learn tarot again and so obsessed! I wonder is there anyone here using a digital tarot deck? If you are, then do you feel any difference between physical and digital tarot on the reading result? I understand that the experience will ofc different because the digital card is, uh, cannot be touched. But a digital deck is handy and practical. What would you think?

Do you draw daily, weekly, monthly or just when you need to? If you do daily, do you do one card, two, or three? I assume the cards can get exhausted so I was curious what you all find best!

I’m currently reading Rachel Pollack’s “Tarot Wisdom: Spiritual Teachings and Deeper Meanings”. I was just thinking that it would be neat to either have a book club thread or create a book club group so that people who are interested can read the same Tarot book at a time and discuss it. Is that a thing already that I missed? If not, who wants to do that? I think it would be a really fun club. If we do it, may I suggest this book being the first? It’s AMAZING.

So last year in autumn I ordered the Horror Tarot by Insight Editions because this women loves herself horror based anything including decks. The cards came perfect. Call me nit picky even whiny but my decks booklet is unusable. They reprinted the same page through the whole book which makes me very sad, while i don't rely on deck booklets sometimes they have given me new perspectives on card meanings that never occurred to me. Does anyone by chance have a pdf of the booklet or even page pictures? Thank you so much in advance.

Do you use them? If yes, why? If no, why? It depends on the spread. I don't use it for 3 cards spread, but I will use it for celtic cross spread. I like the feel of significators. I like having something as a theme for me to work with.

I just ordered the Epic Tarot, released by Lo Scarabeo in 2017/2016, written by Riccardo Minetti and art by Paolo Martinello. I love the art, the themes and connections within the deck, and the fact that the wands are books. But I am shocked at the cardstock. It isn't so much that it is thin but that it is so unfinished that there are already noticeable nicks and chips. It is a brand new deck. I could tell as soon as I opened it that this would be a problem. I am not sure what to do. I ordered some sleeves but I don't know how those will work. Should I lightly laminate? I actually have a deck with thinner cards - the Nature-Speak Oracle - but the cards are finished so it …

My tarot journey started with the gifting of a single deck from my closet friend. She ultimately gifted me my second deck and I felt compelled to use both for the first reading I did after receiving the second deck. Is it normal to feel sure if one or two decks are correct for a particular reading? Sometimes, it feels absolutely wrong to use both decks and in others, completely necessary. I would like to expand beyond the decks I use but feel I'm still being prepared for other types of decks. Would I be biting off more than I could chew by just buying a new type of deck I've never used simply because I want to expand?

    1) So your shuffling your deck and your going to do a 3 card smaller reading... Out falls a card as your shuffling, so where you going to use it in your lay out? Ive never used the one that falls out, due to not sure where id put it? To clarify? or as a beginning first card? What would you do? 2)Where would you put it in a larger reading?

Hey! I've been looking into buying a small bag (preferably velvet) or a small box that would fit a full deck for storage. I've explored the forum to search for a similar thread, but couldn't find one. This is the bag I am currently looking at: https://www.amazon.com/Navy-Velvet-Tarot-Paper-Mart/dp/B00GDPJMC8/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1545937685&sr=8-10&keywords=tarot+card+bag (Amazon is the only place I've looked on, as it's a site that is budget friendly and "trust worthy") I am curious to view any storage ideas for decks that anyone uses! Please leave links, pictures, descriptions, or ideas :)

So I came home with a new deck today (Tarot Familiars, artwork by Lisa Parker) and while I was in the shop I got chatting with the shop assistant about decks with fully illustrated pip cards (like the standard RWS) and decks without illustrated pips (just a picture showing the number of the suite - e.g. 5 cups shown for the 5 of Cups). The Tarot Familiars is a deck with unillustrated pips, hence the discussion. She doesn't like them because she just can't read them because the picture doesn't give her any clue what its about, but I'm fairly happy with them (partly because I've briefly ventured into playing card cartomancy in the past) even if I occassionally forget ho…

I’m doing a reading about a friendship/crush(?) idk but I pulled these three cards as their opinion of me; what vibes I give off to them, and I’m having a bit of a confused time. the first two point to maybe a pleasant but distant acquaintanceship, however the Tower card is tripping me up a bit. its coming off to me like they maybe had their opinion of me unexpectedly changed and maybe it went from bad to good/vice versa but I’m not sure if I’m confident in that interpretation just yet

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some advice on how to use Tarot to pinpoint the whereabouts of misplaced (I hope!) objects. I've never used tarot cards to do that, but I'd like to give it a go. I believe Lenormand is supposed to be a good system for this kind of thing, but I'm a newb when it comes to Lenormand and I'd like to find this misplaced ring sooner rather than later. :) Do we read the cards slightly differently when using it for a more mundane, practical purpose? As in looking at what's in the card - symbols, objects, the location - or do we read the cards with the more usual meanings? Thanks. :)

I hope this is the right place to post! Does anyone have any suggestions for resources or advice on using Tarot and Oracle decks together? I am curious to start using the two together for a little more insight, however, I have had a hard time thinking of the how. I was thinking perhaps doing a spread with Tarot and using Oracle cards as a clarifier of sorts? Apart from that, I am drawing a blank as to how to use them together.

When I started receiving the completed bond with tarot, it came by form of a feather. I had been cross watching readings to verify my own understanding. Then I saw a reading being performed and her feather kept taking my attention (it seemed perfectly framed in her camera view). I was sitting on my porch during this particular reading. And as I thought to myself, why a feather and why THAT exact one. As the thought breeched, I looked at my flower bed and saw this perfectly upright feather that seemingly propped itself for my eyes to take in. It blended with it's surroundings yet stuck out like a sore thumb. The same occurrence happened after receiv…

I wasn't sure which section to post this in. None seem relevant to my situation. I tried to put this in introductions (not knowing where else to put it) and was limited to 100 characters. Please move this if necessary. I've been doing tarot readings for myself on and off for about a year, but in the last 4 months or so, I started to get really into it and was researching it and using online tarot as well as doing readings for myself, often every day. One reason I was so into it was I was looking for a new job and was interested in getting guidance with the job search. The readings were always extremely beneficial and helped me make some hard decisions about de…

Welcome, fellow tarot enthusiasts! Today, we're diving into the mystical realm of intuitive tarot reading. If you've ever felt like your cards were whispering secrets to you, or if you've had moments where your gut feeling was spot-on, this post is for you. Let’s discuss how to develop and trust your inner voice when reading tarot. Embrace the Woo-Woo First things first, let's get comfortable with the idea of embracing our inner woo-woo. Intuitive reading is all about listening to that quiet, sometimes quirky voice inside that says, "Hey, this card means something totally different today!" Trusting your intuition can feel like stepping into the unknown, but that'…

I bought this book some time ago. What I liked about it was that the blurb said it focused on learning and using the tarot in a practical way so that readings were accurate, and not wishy-washy or ambiguous. However, I haven't had a lot of time to go through it and just wondered if anyone here has studied with this book and what they thought of it, and if they have any advice on how to work my way through it. (Can it be done in 10 minute time slots, for instance, or is it better to set aside an hour and work through it. That kind of thing.) Thank you. :)

Without exception, we are all searching and looking for something, or we wouldn't be playing with tarot cards. But where? This isn't a question to ignite long stories of how you found the tarot, we all have those. This is a question to ask you to look at the very beginning of that story you have, at that very moment it began, were you looking in or out? Over the time since that moment have you found it more fitting to look the other way?

Hi all X/ I wonder what time of the day you do your readings? From both astrology and astronomy (Einstein's spacetime) I know that time and place are important. That's why I needed to find out the right time to do them, and after some silent prayer I found out that 1 am or 1 pm would be right. Do you have any specific time of the day you do your readings?
