I am wondering whether this is possible or the outcome of the spread is too biased, as long as the querent and the reader is the same person...

Hi! I'm a newbie in tarot reading. I have a question that's really important to me. Can you get incorrect answers? How and when does it happen? I tend to take "tarot answers" too seriously. That's why I get nervous whenever I try to read tarot cards for myself because I'm scared of negative answers.

Hi everyone my question is can you learn tarot from sources such as books, internet or even a tarot teacher or is it a gift? Some people are naturally gifted to read the cards but can they be learnt and interpreted if you have a great interest?

I want to expand my Astrology knowledge in the Tarot. I have already read the book from Corrine Kenner - Tarot and Astrology. Enhance Your Readings with the Wisdom of the Zodiac. But still I am struggling with the Astrology side. I was thinking about buying a new book about it. I am looking for the book from Muriel Bruce Hasbrouck -Tarot and Astrology. The Pursuit of Destiny. My questions are: Is this book from Muriel Bruce Hasbrouck good? Or do you have other recommendations for me, there must be more books about the topic Tarot and Astrology? Thanks.

I'm not sure if this is in the right place in the forum. I will understand if it gets moved... I am pretty new to tarot, and I'm soaking up information as fast as I can. I have seen people mentioning that they learned a lot by watching videos. But I'm not sure which videos are the best to watch. I've been digging through youtube and watching, but I thought you all might be able to help me narrow things down. If you have seen any that are particularly helpful, or if you could recommend a person to keep an eye out for, I would greatly appreciate it! Many, many thanks! 😊

The title says it all. While browsing through the net, I stumbled upon some sites that said "why you should not read the cards by yourself" and stuff like that. Why would they say that? If it's true, what's the negative implication? If it's not true, do I need like a special preparation or guide to read them myself, or...?

How important are card backs for you when choosing/buying/ reading with a tarot deck? I personally like more simple card back designs. To me, there's something about complex backs that distracts from the card meaning. There is always a bonus in reversible back designs. Readers can choose to read with reversals or not!

What does the lovers reversed clarified by the lovers upright, the empress, and the 10 of cups mean for a persons feelings for you?

Hello it’s been awhile lol. So I was thinking back on all the times when cards have popped up for certain things and was wondering if anybody wanted to share their card experiences? For example : I’ve had the 10 of swords come up when my car was dead in the winter, someone betraying me, end of a conversation or relationship Ace of pentacles : buying a new car battery, a guy wanting to physically touch me, being in my natural form (no makeup, hair weave or fake nails) The empress : my mom, a guy feeling as if I was too into myself, an attractive woman, kind and caring man Judgement : forgiveness, leaving something in the past…

Hi, I like to pick a card for each week and at the end of the week track it back to how it went, however sometimes I have had majors turn up for a reading like ‘wheel of fortune’ or ‘Devil’ but nothing really significant happened in those weeks. It becomes difficult for me to do daily card reading, hence weekly method is preferred but does anybody have suggestions on doing a better spread for this kind of a weekly reading to get better insights?

I find myself pondering whether the vision of the artist in different packs of cards based on RW actually changes the inherent meaning of the archetype, for example Knights are cards of action and movement, does the fact one person chooses to exhibit them as stationary mean they are actually stationary? it's a definite no in my book hence I consider studying imagery on different packs of cards to be a complete waste of time and really only relevant to the artist. Seems to me it's what we pin on the card imagery that's important and the picture itself is simply meant to jolt the memory of all the associations we have pinned on it over the years from different resources. …

I know some cards have more than one meaning. My wife did a reading this morning and she believes that a certain person is going to die. I am trying to figure out if she is correct.

We know that almost all decks have their own set of card meanings written in their LWBs or companion books, tho if they follow a specific tradition (like if they're RWS-based for example) they can sometimes be similar. Some decks like the Mary-El, Chrysalis, and Kabbalistic Visions for example, have their own unique systems. Even decks that follow a certain school may exhibit some noticeable differences. If you read with various decks, do you find yourself applying the same personal meanings across most of the decks that you use? Or do you try to follow the set of interpretations created by their creators?

Today I had an extreme Queen Wands / Batons / Rods / moment. I have been obsessed with yard beautification and household. Queen Batons loves a home improvement project };> On the light side. On the dark side:I ruffled some feathers and will doubtless ruffle more before I'm done. That's why I have this stick, you see. Give me any grief over the yard arrangements and I will hit you. It's my way or the highway. Do you have "card moments" where you feel yourself 100% experiencing that card? Not a Court per se, but ANY card. If yes, care to share?

Not sure if this the proper place to ask this question. Beginner here. Can you use the tarot for insight into another person? For example, I wanted to see what the cards would show if I asked about my mother. I was vague in the question. The cards I pulled don't represent her at all, but wondering if the cards actually reflected what I needed to relate to my mother. Just curious.

What are people's thoughts on card selection as a skill or talent? Is this something that people get better at over time as readers? Is it something different people are just naturally better at than others? Is it not a consideration to you at all? I don't see it mentioned much on this forum, everything is always about interpretation. The answer is always in front of you in the cards, you just have to understand it, is the message I see again and again. When reading cards: what makes those the right cards to interpret in the first place?

Hi - I’m hoping someone with more experience than me, can help. I’m very, very new at this. I have been interpreting the cards and I was doing great, until I got to the court cards and was given two interpretations for each card, this has just happened on court cards so far. I just wrote them both down and moved on, but after researching I believe one is maybe the situation as a whole and the other is an individual? 🤷🏻♀️ I’m struggling to grasp the concept (difference), since all of the cards have been straight forward in their messages. Thank!

I had a reading the other day and I would love to have your opinion: the reading was regarding a work subject and overall was really good. And interestingly enough, on my last question, the card 6(The Lovers), 7 (the Chariot) and 8 (The Justice) came out, all in a numerical order. The reader was very surprised and he thought it was a great sign. what do you think ? THANK U !

I have no idea if this is the best place for this question? I bought my deck of cards for myself to contact someone in spirit and whilst the tarot overall seems to be a method of contacting your higher self it still seems to be the best way to do this. I've been reading my cards for all of a week and I'm quite happy with the interpretations I've made from the energies that I feel as I do it. Sometimes I don't even need a question, the overall energy makes cards pop out as a I shuffle that give me answers before I start and I generally use between 1 and 3 cards max. However, as I've gone on I do get cards in reverse, which would (if I didn't ignore them as a ra…

So I was shuffling my new oracle deck today and a card fell out from it? Does this card have a significance for me? I had read somewhere that cards that drop from the deck while shuffling carry a message with them for the reader...not sure if it is true? Please help understand this

Hello friends, how are you? 🙃 Please, which arcana do you think may be related to jealousy? As I connect jealousy to possessiveness, control and desire of exclusivity... I tend to relate it to the Devil. These two combinations already appeared (outside the romantic context) and brought me a great feeling: Devil + Knight of Cups (when you are carried away by your own negative emotions); Devil + 3 Cups (when there are too many people...). It's curious because I've never connected jealousy with the Tower, but I think this could also be a possibility because of the impulsive and explosive tendency of this emotion... Do you have any different experiences to s…

With the advent of social media, this question becomes more and more frequent. What cards do you associate with someone who pays attention to publications, to the consultant's profile? look, I'm not talking about someone who is necessarily a stalker. Although stalking can be included in this spectrum, I also ask about those people who follow, accompanies someone silently, whether it is frequent or not. For example: when the consultant wants to know if that crush from the gym or work has already searched for him on social networks. In the RWS deck, I usually consider: - Judgment: When something is discovered, it becomes visible. - Sun: v…

Is anyone else turned off by cards that have oversized, decorative borders? A few years ago, I bought the Mystic Faerie tarot, because I loved its beautiful artwork. When I went through the cards, however, I couldn't get past the large scrolling borders around each card. The cards all started to look alike, and they made me think of framed portraits instead of spiritual tools. Fortunately, the cards were slightly crumpled on the side, so I had an excuse to return them. All in all, I think I'd rather the space taken up by a border be used to portray a scene that represents the card's meaning. What do you all think?
