A while back, a friend of mine asked if I could do a reading for where the World was headed in the next 5 to 10 years. It challenged me. I didn't find an existing spread that really answered the questions, so I decided to create one. While the question asked was a VERY big picture (about the whole world), I thought the spread would work for things on a more local / personal level as well. (For the reading I did, this spread worked great.) I started laying cards (face-down) to determine a design, and as I pushed them around, I found that a 7-card spiral, like a Nautilus shell felt right; ............3 .......2........4 ...........1 ................5 ......7.....6…

This is a spread that I designed for reflecting on the year that is soon about to end. Maybe someone else will find it useful. It is quite a large spread but I wanted something that would sum up this last year nicely. You lay out 13 cards: the first 12 cards are laid in a circle (like a clock) and the last card sits in the middle of the circle. I intended for it to be like the completion of a cycle, with something new that emerges like a small light in the middle of the unknown. 1. Who was I when this year started? 2. What did I strive to achieve this year? 3. What did I accomplish? 4. What got in my way? 5. What lessons did this year have in store for me? 6…

I created this spread in thinking about themes related to spring and Beltane, although it can be used any time of year. But what was really fun about this to me is I based it on lyrics to a Led Zeppelin song! I feel like a lot of Zeppelin songs have deep and magical themes, so this might become a new thing for me 8) The song is - apologies in advance if this video doesn't play in your region! The lyrics that inspired me are these: "If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now- It's just a spring clean for the May Queen. Yes there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run There's still time to change the road you're on." I always th…

The Queen of Swords could also be suggesting that you need to know what is the difference between the truth and what is complete BS! Another thing about this woman is that you shouldn't need to take any BS from ANYONE (clears throat) *sorry for the yelling :shhh:*. Strangely enough I don't see any water cups to represent you *Your a Scorpio woman!* Now while upon this topic since you have gotten the King of Wands as a gift. If your single *if not I apologise for making any assumptions* there may be a male who's either in his mid-40s to 50s who's either Aries, Leo or Sagittarius *probably Sagittarius as the session for them are almost here* will play a role within your…

This is a spread of my own design. The layout was inspired by the Brigid's cross (with the last card being placed in the center of the cross). I hope you like it  (For more spreads that I have designed you can go look in my Little Corner. I have a thread called Collection of Spreads there and I will be adding more in the future. I will probably also offer readings using those spreads, so if that interests you - take a look. The link is in my signature) Imbolc Spread (A light in the dark and something stirring underneath the surface) 1 4 5 2 3 1. The Seed. This card represents something that is calling for your attention and that y…

Hello, In this thread, I will be posting some of the spreads I have created (making a separate thread for each spread seemed like spamming). They're inspired by situations I was dealing with and by the numerous spreads I came across all over the internet, in books as well as in AT forum! Feel free to use them + I'd love to hear a feedback if you want to share. 😊

My birthday is tomorrow, 12/31. Any favorite spreads for a birthday that aren’t a year ahead spread? I was looking online and too many were similar or the same as a new year spread and that’s redundant for me. If I’m turning 42, does that mean it’s s Sun year or a Judgement year? I was born in 76 if that helps. Thanks for any suggestions.

When reading tarot, and trying various spreads, I find one question, one card works for me. I may draw up to five cards, but do one question for each. Example: What should I know this month? I pull a card and set it down, reshuffle and ask What Further Clarification or What Area of my Life will this impact? I can do this for up to five questions, but usually three does it to hone in on what I am seeking, sometimes just two. Just wondering if I am the only one who ever does or if others do. I know we all work differently and get our info the way that best works for us. I am been using this for about 8 years now and it just works for me (gotten…

PS! This is for entertainment only. There are no facts in tarot. In some cultures the word entertainment can be understood as "under attitude". Hi all 🙂 Inspired by a conversation with @Raggydoll I came up with this spread for further enlightenment . The reason I put some sample cards behind it - that I have pulled myself - is that since we regards ourselves as family, I share some of my findings with you. The reason that I don't interpret them, is that we all have different view on tarot and the facts that I present a style with make-up on - I don't want to feel all naked - when I allow you to copy my style, so to speak. He…

I'm looking for a spread that will help answer a question that may not be super specific... or maybe even also a spread to help me narrow down the question! For context, back in Feb 2017 I saw a psychic (let's call her A) who read my cards and said I'd be in a relationship with the right person in about 6 months. She described him in terms of a couple of key features. At the end of 2016 a different psychic said I'd be in a relationship 'by August' next year but provided no details. This was just a single line answer via email. Another, in the June 2017, said 'within 3 months' but no specific details. Again, it was just a quick online single topic answer. I kno…

Hi everyone I wanted to share with you a terror spread that I just did, It is called the 2 options 7 card spread Which I found in the book A Little Bit of Tarot: An introduction to reading tarot, by Cassandra Eason. With this spread you are supposed to select 2 options or choice you are facing, but I guess you can always customize it if you have more than 2 options. I did this and it really was eye opening for me so I thought I would share. I wish I could post personal pictures.

SWOT analysis is a well-known tool to analyse the performance of companies and teams. I encountered this four-step set of questions for the first time many years ago at a staff meeting. Immediately, my brain tarotised it! This is a very neat spread to get a good overview of your current situation and how it might develop. Two elements are internal factors: the strength and the weakness of your position. There are two external factors: the opportunities and the threats you have to deal with. The strengths and opportunities are factors in your favour, whereas the weaknesses and threats can work against …

These were created (by me) with the intention of following the cycle and the energies of the moon, but every spread can be used on its own - as a tool for personal exploration and development (and you can certainly also use them in readings for others). There is a theme for each spread, so I hope you’ll find something that suits your needs and wants! Enjoy! (Just scroll down a bit to find the spreads) https://www.thetarotforum.com/30-days-working-with-the-moon-spreads/30-days-of-working-with-the-moon-a-spread-for-each-day-of-the-lunar-cycle/ This resource is only available to the members of this forum, so guests won’t be able to access it.

It’s not really a spread, more of a method. But anyway, here it is! First off, try to figure your stalker card out. Meditate with it, freewrite based on it, read the LWB, check out how others have interpreted the same card, ask a friend, etc… When you’re sick of all that and you want more depth, then move on to the next step! Take that bloody irritating card and tell it what you want (I like to sob-scream “But what do you meeeeaaannnn?” at it, personally), then shuffle it back into your deck - FACE UP. Shuffle it in real good. Don’t peek while shuffling, though, you don’t want to see where the card is until you’re totally done with shuffling. When you’re throu…

My friends, I've been having a wonderful time working through the lessons of learntarot.com, taking notes on each and working through the exercises. Today I reached Lesson 10, The Open Reading. The exercise at the end of this lesson prompts me to look for an opportunity in the coming weeks for an open/general reading to get myself familiar with this style of reading, preferably on a "special" occasion of new beginnings. As it turns out, the Autumn Equinox is coming up on the 22nd! This is the perfect day, as it will be my first observed equinox. So I did a search in the forums for spreads but only found the Autumn Leaves Transition Spread linked here: But I feel th…

AUTHORS NOTE Now today I've decided to share this spread on a Moon phase that the Southern Hemisphere will experience on the 25th of January. This reading that is providing below to show how this spread works is personal. On the 24th of January around 2:15pm I just gotten off from work and decided to meet up with my sisters at the local OP shop. I was on the walk path I looked both ways twice to ensure that there wasn't any cars coming as this time of year it's particularly busy where I live. I looked both ways so there was no cars coming then I gotten off the walk path and started crossing. Then when I lease expected it a white car come around the corner and speedi…

Its the lunar eclipse today and I was inspired to create my own small spread for it. I thought others might find it useful so am sharing it here in the Spreads area as well as in the Lunar Group Reading thread so people can find it more easily. I used an image of the eclipse as my inspiration here. I realised that it could be easily adapted for a solar eclipse too so I've included that too. Lunar Eclipse Spread -1-2-3- 1. The Sun - A source of light in my life at this time 2. The Earth - What is in the light right now that can be taken forward in my life? 3. The Moon - What is in the shadow right now that c…

Hi everyone! I've done several readings for a friend using the Deviant Moon Tarot. They've been on a couple of different topics, but one card has now come up in 4 readings in some different positions. I'm looking for a reading that I might use to try to find out why the card is recurring. I was thinking I would pull the card in question as kind of a "significator", then do a reading built around it. Any suggestions?

This is one of my most fun spreads. I usually run it with just uprights when someone needs a a quick, fun check-up on someone entering into their dating life:
