So I received this book as a Christmas gift and I had to share it with you all as it's stunning. It explores some of the wonderful artwork produced for Tarot decks over the years, and also where art and the practice of Tarot meet. https://www.taschen.com/pages/en/catalogue/art/all/08003/facts.tarot_the_library_of_esoterica.htm# At the risk of going off topic, the book was produced as part of a trilogy with the other two books exploring Astrology and Witchcraft, for those who are interested. Enjoy 😊

I don't know which livestream it was, i looked at the time but no clue where It was tweeted 3 days ago. What caught my eye at first was john edwards support. So i read the tarot lady tweet and she shares she was blocked. I was not sure what to title this post. But i think it is important. In the past on psychic reading site, i saw couple of times a person would just go into advertising spiel instead of geniunely trying to help the person.

Hi all, Just wondering if anyone listens to the Antifragile Tarot Podcast? I only discovered it the other day, but it's been around since 2017 or so and I must've listened to at least a dozen episodes already. The website is here: https://antifragiletarot.libsyn.com/ but it's also available on Spotify (not sure about other streaming services). The thing I really love about it is it has a queer, secular jewish witch for a host, which means the approach taken is intersectional, progressive, inclusive, and sensible. She does talk about her magickal practice a bit, but there's plenty of focus on tarot too, and some very frank advice on contentious issu…

Hi, so I've been a Persona fan for a long time, and although I credit coming across a certain novelty deck at a convention for getting me to try Tarot for myself, I credit this series for instilling that interest in me to begin with, even if I didn't act on it until just over a year ago. I have recently been playing Persona 5 Royal, as I got the Digital Deluxe version of its sequel when it came out and figured now would be the time to finally get into the Royal version. As someone who now practices Tarot, the scenes with Chihaya are now especially interesting to me, and I think her fortune telling prowess is quite embellished. Anyways, I've been quite intr…

I was wondering if some of you have bought the book: 36 Secrets: A Decanic Journey through the Minor Arcana of the Tarot by T. Susan Chang Information from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/36-Secrets-T-Susan-Chang/dp/1716325099 The minor arcana of the tarot have an astrological secret: 36 of them, in fact. In the early 20th century, members of the British secret society of the Golden Dawn created what would become the world's best-known tarot deck: the Rider Waite Smith tarot. They also created an infrastructure of esoteric correspondences around the deck, assigning each minor card numbered 2 through 10 in each of the four suits, to a decan—a 10°…

I saw something slightly amusing recently - I rewatched 1995's "Hideaway" for the first time in many years. It's a goofy yet entertaining thriller, based on Dean Koontz's book (although Koontz hated it and disowned it, since it turned his grim horror novel into something of an action film). At any rate, there is a scene in which the protagonist visits a medium to try explaining odd visions that he has been experiencing. She senses the presence of a powerful entity about him, and then realizes that there is another presence, sinister and malevolent, following him and quickly closing in. She uses a Tarot deck in the scene, and since "Hideaway" is a US film, there was a…

Has anyone else played Sayonara Wild Hearts? It's this amazing pop-album rhythm game that came out last autumn to spectacular reviews and also won Arcade game of the year from the 2019 video game awards. The entire game is themed around the Major Arcana and your literally play as the Fool through around 20 stages of phenomenal soundtrack and varied gameplay. It's such an amazing game and only about an hour long if you don't have to repeat too many of the stages. It's like $12 or so and available on most platforms. Here is a full analysis of the game's use of Tarot (spoilers for everything of course): Sayonara Wild Hearts: Use of Tarot in Game Design and Narrative …

I've struggled with pulling the 3 of swords card in a reading for myself and have witnessed others squirm when I pulled the card for them. I took a dive into the imagery to try and pull some positivity out of the card... https://youtu.be/UKltof2X-rI

Hi, everyone. I am glad to have discovered the forum, and to have become a participant. The Navajo had a saying that whenever one comes to visit, it is a good habit to bring something with oneself, be it even something as simple a smile. Therefore, I thought that for my first post here, I would bring something, and I would make it a subject that seems to have interested quite a few collectors of Tarot in the past - the HBO's series "Carnivàle". Those who remember it no doubt recall the importance of Tarot, and the unforgettable opening of the show, with its mysterious, painted deck that turned into living panoramas. There have been many discussions…

I accidentally came upon Lo Scarabeo's 3 part Encyclopedia (Fundamentals/Experience/Compendium). What attracted me was the artwork and the volume I must say *drool*. I like big books and I cannot lie. ☺️ You can get a glimpse from the inside, but not enough to determine wether it's worth it to spend money on. I can imagine since it's published by a publisher specialised in all things tarot that it's not. I haven't seen it on any lists as recommended either. Does somebody have a copy?

Hi all, has anybody purchased decks on the Fool's Dog app and then changed to a new phone? I just got my new phone, migrated everything, but can't get the decks I had bought through the app anymore. They are not on google-play anymore for me, and nowhere in my list of apps that I have. emailed the app-people but no reply so far.

I've been searching, but I seem to be too dumb to find the right keywords to google - I keep getting forums, reading offers and videos and other products vaguely related to Tarot. And, of course, a few sites I'm sure aren't quite legal. And a whole bunch of stuff for phones, which is not what I want at all. All I could come up with is Visual Tarot and Visual Oracle, but they are way too expensive as you have to buy them separately. Plus, it is not clear if it even supports unconventional deck sizes, they only show 36 and 78 card decks as options. My self made deck has double the number. I do not really need or even want card interpretations, spread…

I have neither more space nor more money to get more physical books (I actually gave half of my books away when we moved last year) and I have been looking to find free books or libraries but most what I found is either shady or clearly illegal (why has no one closed Scribd down yet?) and you have to pay for on top. The one page which looked legit, as it was a free online library, proved to be violating copyright as well. And while I am well aware copyright laws need to be updated to the reality of a world where basically anything goes, I prefer not to support those who earn money with other people's work. I have literally no money on my own, as I get no disab…

Please move if I posted in the wrong section. So- I originally used the regular DM with borders and it didn't do much for me but languish in a cupboard until I gifted it. Recently- I tried out the borderless and for some reason, I really meshed with it much more than before. Probably a combination of life changes, me changes and, to a small extent, loving borderless decks. That being said- I have refreshed myself with reading with this deck for the fall as I am also getting ready to plunge into his TdM style deck and oracle deck (ole Mildred). As I have been using it, I was wondering if the big book is worth it? I feel it is a very readable deck on its own- an…

Hi guys! Here you can harvest a few decent Tarot books: Links removed by staff due to copyright issues Put in "Tarot" into the search function and a few more titles come up. I also found a few nice Bird guides and other goodies 🙂 Enjoy 🙂 Staff edit: I know this was a genuine mistake so no worries, I just removed the links.

Over the years, I've read a great many books about tarot, but only a few of them have I actually kept. For those who use the same technique of keeping the collection pared down to only the ones that for you have been the best, what is on your tarot shelf? ETA: Or, if you are someone who keeps everything, which books, in all honesty, are the ones that had the greatest impact on you and are your most treasured? My shelf contains (ie, these are the ones I kept because they are my most treasured): Ben-Dov, Yoav. The Open Reading. CreateSpace, 2011. Calvino, Italo. The Castle of Cross Destinies. Translated from the Italian by William Weaver. Vi…

Hi all! I started a YouTube channel but haven’t had much time to post anything ... until now! Received my 5 Cent Tarot and love it and wanted to try my hand at an unboxing video. Learned a lot with just this one - first I’m not sure how the quality turned out... not sure if it’s my connection or the upload itself that is not the quality I thought it would be so if someone wouldn’t mind giving me feedback I would welcome it! Also, I took my time when drawing the cards and reading through all the upright and reverse meanings because it was my intent that I wanted to leave the image of the card up for a bit so someone watching could really see it - but it ended u…

Hello, you have probably seen videos where just the card(s) and the reader's hand appears in the video. How is this done? Smart phone with a tripod? I would very much appreciate advice as to what set up I need to be able to do these kind of simple video readings. Thank you! Juna

Do you know any good resources for finding images for entire decks? Now that I no longer have a scanner, this would be so helpful. Tarot.com does have some complete decks reproduced. I can find some individual card images on Pinterest.com or by Google searches. Thank you.
