So he's been stalking me, and at least one other member here that I know of, so I figured I'd dig in with him a bit, starting first with consolidating a few thoughts I've had about him elsewhere and hopefully hearing from others in the coming with their thoughts and experiences! ~~~ From my blog : One of the most commonly quoted meanings for The Hanged Man is “a change of perspective” - but, I’m going to put forward the opposite view as an alternate way of looking at the card. See, to me, having the card mean that you need to look at the situation from a different point of view has felt like a shallow understanding based solely on him being upside down. I …

What does Temperance mean to you and what are your experiences with this card? I was looking at the card and reading on it today. It stood out to me in my deck. I have done some research on the card and want to hear your interpretations of Temperance and what it has meant to you.

I keep stumbling into this card, and have been looking up different interpretations of it. I apologise if this has been covered here. I tried to find but couldn't locate it. For me, this card kinda signifies giving. Like feeling the sense of abundance and sharing it with people. I always read this as material giving or sharing, since it's pentacles. But, I see people read this as sharing of anything- love, knowledge, perspective, guidance. Was I being restricted then? One very interesting interpretation: The reader used the card from the RWS deck and read it as a spirit guide helping the person and the soulmate, and bringing and keeping them toget…

I'm having a conflict about the meaning of the 9 of cups. Mostly, I understand it as emotional fulfillment within oneself. But I also hear it described as the wish come true card. That doesn't feel right to me. The 9s are solitary, so I see it as self-actualization, self-fulfillment, full of oneself in the extreme? The wish come true card feels a bit too external. Idk...thoughts? How do you interpret the 9 of cups?

I have problems with the three of swords being called Jealosy or other emotional feelings that I would put more as a cups type of feeling. I learned that the Threes ( in Kabbalah) are higher up and as swords more in the thought , mind rather than feelings. I think of it as having to choose from two hearts desires as you may not be able to have both. Such as torn between music or medicine as a career when you love both but just one will take all your time. What do you think of using a one word label for a card.

Would anyone like to share their experience with the king of swords? What have you seen him pop up for in your readings. For the longest I hated to see the king of swords but now that I’ve become a bit familiar with him. He’s not so cold like I thought. I have seen him come out for great communication and conversations. Someone who’s really smart. And a doctor but surprisingly this doctor wasn’t all detached. He was very kind and empathetic which shocked me since the king of swords was his card lol. But I really wonder what has the king of swords shown up for in other people’s reading. I don’t get him too often so I’m really curious. And maybe I can ta…

Hi all. This is my first time here and first time posting, and I'm fairly new to tarot. Two of Wands came up in a reading I did recently, and based on its placement and the story forming around it, it suddenly occurred to me that it was Two of Fire and could be interpreted as Twin Flames. I'd love to hear if anyone else has had this feeling about Two of Wands.

I am intrested to know whether or not you believe cards can represent a place or a country. I asked a question 'in which country could I move' twice. I got: The King of Swords (first time) and The Star (second time) In general I would like to know which country you associate with each card. *moderators please feel free to move it or modify this post as/if needed.*

Hi everyone! I wanted to receive some feedback about your interpretation or experience with the queen of swords RWS version for the sword/background and facial expressions. For me, my focus is mostly on the sword’s direction toward the clear sky and the facial expression of the Queen and the figure on her throne. They look upset or like they are scowling. For me the sword represents cutting to the truth/heart of the matter in a very direct way. The background is clear skies at the top but there are many clouds which are low and fluffy. Those low clouds feel like confusion to me. The look on her face along with the figure on the throne d…

I would like to further explore the meanings of The Hanged Man reversed. All input is welcome and appreciated. To me, this card seems positive when I look at it reversed, but none of the meanings truly seem as bright as it appears to me. I am interested on your perspectives on this card.

Is it just me or do most literature & decks focus heavily on the taming aspect of the strength card? All I read is somewhat about calming your "dark side" (which is nothing but our natural instinct most of the time), which sounds to me a lot like holding back who you really are (I know, by accepting it instead of burying it, but still). I don’t really know how to describe it, but this just feels off to me. I mean, holding back is more a temperance thing, right? But a lion is still a wild creature (for example in the wild unknown, the lion looks kinda like a toothless hippie and not like the wild beast it is naturally). Even if someone is trying to change you…

I think one of the most interesting and intriguing cards when it comes to its meaning is the Hermit. I like the fact that its character is based on isolation, loneliness and self inner-searching (I've always been like that, not in a misanthropic way :)) and it also reminded me of the ancient Greek philosopher Diogenes who had chosen a similar life path. However I am not sure the meaning this card has to offer someone today, given the fact that we as social species (especially today) need to interact with one another in order to build relationships and discover the world (in general). How am I suppose to interpret the Hermit's meaning when it pops up?

Hello friends, how are you? Could you please share with me? 🙃 I understand as advice: "Be like this card. Assume the characteristics, actions that suggest this card"; 10 Pentacles/Coins as a GENERAL ADVICE (there is no specific question, just an orientation for the week, using RWS deck) I can think of: Invest time with your family Share your inner wealth with the people you love Ask your family for help Cherish the traditional, hierarchies Cherish the great possessions Leave a legacy, inheritance Open your eyes to the riches of everyday life Build a solid foundation that spans generations Materialize your desires Take care o…

Although there are no 'positive' and 'negative' cards per se, some archetypes are significations of good omens and others indicate attention. I would choose as the most positive 1) the world, 2) the sun, 3) the chariot, 4) the star and 5) the empress What do you think?

Hello, Would anyone like to share there meanings or experiences about the emperor rx? I really don’t know what to think of him when he’s reversed. The only think I associate him with is someone who doesn’t know how to be a man, someone who can’t step up and take charge. No backbone and weak. Also that he can’t be the man you need him. For example if your talking to a guy and you ask if he will become your boyfriend, and you get the emperor reversed that could be saying he can’t be your boyfriend he can’t fill that position in your life. The emperor rx just really gets me sometimes. So any comments would be greatly appreciated.

I've been thinking about this recently and found myself wondering: With cards that are stereotypically connected with distinct negative meanings, how would you read it as advice? I'm especially thinking of the 9 of Swords (the worst card in the deck in my opinion, yeesh 😰) but happy to hear any ideas regarding all cards that are generally considered "negative". When I say advice, I just mean advice in general, not linked to any particular situations or context (like love, family, work, etc). I find it rather difficult to think of anything from these cards that would serve as "advice", simply because of their overt negative connotations. Looking forward to hearing what …

I have been having problems with the 10 swords card RWS. When I search it, some meanings of the reverse is the same as the upright while others speak of the reverse being about brighter days. I sat down with the card and asked for help. This is what I got. Please tell me if any of you see it any differently. 10 swords upright- failure and ruin. Everything that can go wrong went wrong. It is a card of betrayal. You have been betrayed and it is the final nail in the coffin. It is over with. What ever the situation is, it is over, and there is no hopes of fixing it, you should move on. It is time to move on but there is another chapter coming that is better, as t…

Hello, What is your own experience with Judgement (RWS) card (no reversals as I am still learning upright) when it comes in different readings? It could be one card reading also For example: 1. What will be the outcome of a certain situation? 2. When will a certain event happen? 3. What do I need to know about communication with certain person in near future? 4. What are their feelings about another person? 5. How do they see you? 6. How do they see a certain situation? 7. What is the next best step for a person to take? 8. Yes and No query I see/read general meanings as resurrection of past (before putti…

Hello everyone, I'm having a problem with the 3 of Pentacles (RWS), that is I think didn't really understand its true meaning.. I've always considered it as a card of teamwork, support, solid basis between two and also a card of learning and hard work, but it has sometimes occured to be not so positive.. What's its real meaning? What are those 3 people really up to? Are they really building something together? What are your experiences with this card? Thank you so much.

Hello everybody! So I wanted to know if anybody would be willing to share their thoughts, feelings and experiences with this card. I like the king of wands kinda sorta lol. But I really see him as the bachelor of the deck, he loves the ladies and the spotlight. To me he’s a cheater as well but he’s not like the knight of wands a flighty lover, no he’s the kinda of lover who’s very charming so it’s hard to want to let him go. And not to mention he’s attractive (my ex pops up as the king of wands now). But he is definitely a ladies man and he can be domineering as well as bossy. But once again he knows how to inject his charm and charisma so he doesn’t seem bossy and domine…

Hello everyone, recently I've pull the Knight of Swords to represent the timing of an event (this is NOT a one card reading). I don't actually associate cards to specific time frames, as this method just doesn't work with me, so what I usually do is to consider the card meaning and try to figure out its "timing message" considering that. In this case the Knight of Swords makes me think something like "the event will take place soon", as generally this card is related to the concept of swiftness. What do you think? Could my reasoning make sense? Thank you so much.
