Hello everyone! I just started doing tarot readings recently. I did a tarot reading about a boy who I like and I was wondering what were his feelings towards me. I drew the Chariot and the 6 of wands as a clarifier. Here is my interpretation of these two cards. These cards symbolize someone who has a goal in mind and would like me to celebrate his victory at the end of this. I'm not sure about these two card combinations because they seem very similar. I'm in the process of learning this card meanings from a deck and I usually struggle to interpret cards in this deck, and often miss symbols. 2 of such cards are Emperor and 8 of wands; Emperor- This image seems very unique to Me, it's has a Side profile of a goat and a bird like face. I would see goats strategic, confident and determined. What throws me off is the face? It clearly shows that this bird mask has been tied on this face, is it about deception..i don't think so, then what does it connote in a professional and a relationship context. How would you interpret this 6 of wands in a relationship context as an outcome? I feel the man is alone, picking up these sticks being handed over to him, he is getting the support but he doesn't seem very happy. It feels like he is getting a grip of the situation. But he does have garland around his body..but should he not be celebrating? It doesn't look like he is enjoying it or is being egoistic. Is he just being content? And the card only shows him, what about the partner? Unlike the RWS, which is about recognition and success, this one seems a bit tricky to me.

Hi all, newbie here. I have 3 tarot decks, and for some reason the one I am most drawn to is the one that does not have a book to go with it. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for websites or books that I could use to help me get in depth understanding of how to interpret cards properly. I find the thing I am most struggling with is connecting a particular card to a specific topic. For example, The Lovers card - I have become somewhat familiar with how to interpret this in a Relationship spread, but when it comes up in a Financial or Work spread, I am at a loss. If anyone was thinking of making their own deck, I think a great idea for the Devil card would be an apple tree with 10 apples on it and a snake slithering through it and a man and woman standing under it with the woman reaching out and looking up into the tree and the man looking at her. Each are naked of course. They are standing on a black ground. Just a thought. It foes well with the Lovers card.

However, I recently got the 8 of Cups in the Assistance slot, and I've having trouble seeing it as a card that can assist me. It just seems so negative! Does anyone have any advice? Best, Babelite

Question: If you have a 9 of Cups in a position of Support Needed, how would you read that card? I read it as someone needing support in believing wishes can come true and believing she deserves to have her wishes and dreams come true. Thoughts? Side note: I realize there are many possibilities. I think one of the most interesting and intriguing cards when it comes to its meaning is the Hermit. I like the fact that its character is based on isolation, loneliness and self inner-searching (I've always been like that, not in a misanthropic way :)) and it also reminded me of the ancient Greek philosopher Diogenes who had chosen a similar life path. However I am not sure the meaning this card has to offer someone today, given the fact that we as social species (especially today) need to interact with one another in order to build relationships and discover the world (in general). How am I suppose to interpret the Hermit's meaning when it pops up?

I hope I put this in the right place! I did a reading about the soul connection between two people and got the Devil with King of Cups as a clarifying card. As these two people are both in separate relationships, I'm thinking that The Devil is perhaps regarding lust and desire...but King of Cups is about emotional control, compassion, kindness, etc. And as a SOUL connection... I'm kinda stumped with this combo! They don't seem to go together to me. Any insight?

Here's a card, whose number is the foundation to the Tree of Life. A number of strength and power, inner power. The warrior who will soon be welcomed home with a parade and some energetic rewards later on. A card that represents staying faithful to your purpose. Thats some of my feelings about it.

Hello I am new to this tarot forum. I have been doing tarot around three years. A man I think about far far too often... I asked how he sees me. Overall. He saw I had a soft, sensitive side. I've been reading the cards since 1998 and in all that time, I've never had the Death card show up in my daily shuffle/lay out cards routine consistently. In fact I don't recall it ever happening. I'm going to be 74 next month so seeing the Death card cycling around makes me a little flinch-y to be honest. Hello everyone! What are all your takes on major arcana in readings? To me it’s a important event or subject you need to focus on. Like you’re getting guided help from spirit guides. Lately I’ve been getting a lot of major arcana in my readings and I’m curious on what others think about it!

Manipulation can be in many forms, anywhere from downright malicious to almost benign. But what cards would you say can come up for manipulation? the first that comes to mind is the magician and maybe some swords card. 5 of swords as trying to win an argument or point of view through deception. The magician could be that telephone seller who has a way with words. Maybe the king or queen of swords reversed? But what cards in your experience has meant this and when is it malicious or almost innocent?

From what I have in my notes so far, death is (other than the tower, where the change happens out of the blue) a change/ending that was foreseeable (natural?) in one way or another.
