Though it hasn't popped up a lot lately, it's been bugging me for quite some time what this card could possibly mean. I kept getting it during my daily readings, too. My intuition at the time was telling me it was about my friend (who is young), but I couldn't figure out what exactly that meant? I can explain a little what was going down: I really needed to talk to her - we were in a bad place because of a recent diagnosis I acquired, and I was planning on visiting her. I was really super paranoid about all of that. That's why I kept pulling this card. I was also trying to get the money to go visit her as fast as I could. Any help at all would be f…

My initial thoughts were about gossip. Maybe they are a little too talkative and might not keep to themselves what you tell them. Might not be a good idea to tell them secrets. Any other thoughts?

I came upon 2 aide memoire rhymes from the writer and critic, Grevel Lindop, which I thought might be of interest: https://grevel.co.uk A RHYME FOR THE TAROT Rider Waite Pack One’s the Magician, beginning his quest; Two the High Priestess, a cross on her breast; Three is the Empress, a goddess you see, And Four is the Emperor, his orb at his knee. The Hierophant’s Five, whose good prayers we receive, And Six are the Lovers, fair Adam and Eve. Seven’s the Chariot, pursuing its path, And Eight is for Strength, who can tame the lion’s wrath. Nine is the Hermit, who lives far from town, And Ten is th…

Hello friends, how are you? Could you please share with me? 🙃 I understand as advice: "Be like this card. Assume the characteristics, actions that suggest this card"; 10 Pentacles/Coins as a GENERAL ADVICE (there is no specific question, just an orientation for the week, using RWS deck) I can think of: Invest time with your family Share your inner wealth with the people you love Ask your family for help Cherish the traditional, hierarchies Cherish the great possessions Leave a legacy, inheritance Open your eyes to the riches of everyday life Build a solid foundation that spans generations Materialize your desires Take care o…

Hello everybody, the Knight of Cups is probably one of those cards I had more trouble with. I think I didn't really understand how to interpret this guy in readings. Once I interpreted him as a peacemaker ,another time he was representing an artist, more precisely a musician. In terms of love instead he happened to point to unrequited love or being too immature for a love relationship. However, I still have a hard time deciphering this Knight, especially in terms of advice. What do you guys think? Thank you so much.

So about a week ago I asked one of my coworkers if I could pull cards for him. I told him that I had been studying Tarot and would like to practice with him, he didn’t say no. But he didn’t say yes all he said was he had never gotten a Tarot reading done before. He went off to do some work and while he was gone I went and asked my cards if he would let me pull for him. I got the hermit, after almost an hour later he came back and asked me if I would pull cards for him. I agreed but I was shocked, because when I pulled the hermit I instantly thought no he wasn’t going to let me pull for him. The hermit to me is about isolation, withdrawal, retreating, and separating yourse…

Apologies if this has been posted before. Can we talk about the 2 and 3 of Wands? I have always found these cards a little bit difficult to interpret because the imagery and associated meanings are so similar. I tend to interpret the 2 primarily as a card representing making plans and the first initial steps toward a goal, but I've heard other readers associate this card with personal power, as well, but I think there are other cards that represent that idea more clearly, like the Magician, the Chariot, King of Wands, etc. I tend to interpret the 3 as expansion and growth, possibly leadership. There's just such a fine line between these two cards and I'm really curious ho…

As a newbie to tarot, I am wondering what the differnce to you is between the empress and the 10 of coins? For me, they are both about abundance. What your take on that? Thank you in advance.

For the Creative Tarot Circle here on the forum, I was doing some research about the Wheel of Fortune. A sentence in the Tarot Handbook by Hajo Banzhaf lead me to Carl Jung, and I ended up reading a chapter in ‘Jung and Tarot: an archetypal journey’, by Sallie Nichols. It gave me some surprising insights that I feel are resonating with me, specifically about the introvert/extravert conversation, and I would like to share some lines from the book with you. She then explains that the wheel is moving for each of us, but the people on the outside of the wheel are whirled about so fast from one activity to another that he experiences life as a disc…

I'm reading the classic book "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu and I found some very interesting links and insights with the 7 of swords (RWS), mainly to its favorable and positive aspect. This is a translated and commented excerpt from the book in Portuguese: Chapter 1, topic 15: "(...) The art of war is based on dissimulation". Editor's comment: 1) "Sun Tzu refers to cunning maneuvers and artifices to deceive the opponent with the use of astuteness, craftness, ruse, guile, trickery and slyness. In a battle, to cover up one's true intentions, it is often necessary to resort to disguises and ingenuity. History records countless cases of ruses and stratagems ap…

Hello everyone. I would like to share some thoughts about the High Priestess. Looking at my notes I come to the conclusion that most of the times the HP comes as a secret in my readings.Something that the querent doesn’t no or he is not in a position to know. For example a few days ago I did a ‘new year’ spread for a member of my family and for January she had HP with another card that can indicate death. After a few days she found out that a friend of her’s died three months ago and she didn’t know about it. I would really like you to share your thoughts.

Not sure if 8 of Wands has shown up this way for anyone else's readings but twice now it has shown up in readings I did about people who passed in accidents where the event happened very quickly and could not be stopped once it was started... The first reading was about Kobe Bryant's death.... I took the 8 of Wands to be talking about how the incident with the helicopter happened very fast and that once it had begun there was no way to stop it from crashing. I also felt the card often being associated with air travel was also pertinent. Then a few days ago, I was reading for someone whose best friend threw himself on a bomb to save his life (while…

I'm going through the deck, comparing the cards to the RW. Mostly all the cards in the Volatile decks are traditional to the RW. But 8 of Wands , and the alternative card isn't. Volatile has the 8 of wands with an eulye ball in the clouds with 8 wands coming out idle the clouds, down to the ground. I suppose the RW is the same after writing this out. Pointed down. But the alternative Volatile 8 of wands has the more Magdeline look, with a crown of thorns and 8 wands appears growing out if the head. I don't get it because it doesn't fix the traditionally meaning for the 8 of wands; haste, speed, action, gaining momentum. I guess thorns growin…

Hello!! Some context first: I've been learning tarot for a year and while I have some sort of grasp of the basic card meanings, I have difficulty reading reversals confidently. For now, I've been leaning towards it meaning that the energy of the card is present but not complete or realised fully, instead of being the 'negative' meaning of the card, but I'm not 100% sure if this approach works for me yet. I've been doing ad hoc one card pulls for the day, only twice this week and both times were the ace of swords reversed. Surely my cards are trying to tell me something but I don't know what it is! I thought it could refer to the need to think and communicate m…

Here's two cards that seem to share nothing other than coming from the same deck. The Hermit 9 and the 4 of pentacles. However, there are similarities. Notice how the man in the 4 of Pentacles is outside of a city. He has left with what he has to live outside of society. The Hermit has his wisdom, his consciousness, his experience that he has also left with. The 4 of Pentacles holds his life, what he loves, with each Pentacle strategically placed over his chakras. The Hermit holds onto his wisdom in his cane, he holds onto his sun, but he does shine the path for others who choose to seek. Yes, the 4 of Pentacles is possessive, but the lesson may be h…

Here are two cards with very similar meanings. It's always fun to explore card differences, though. I see both cards as 'waiting for earned results' but I think there is a difference between them. (If there wasn't, why have two cards?) The 3 of Wands is in a dynamic suit—Wands—which usually deals with positive energy, exciting new ideas, and fearlessly taking action. So I'd say this person depicted on this card is expecting results to come in—possibly from a distance— and is probably quite excited about their arrival. He is standing on the shore, looking eagerly for the ship to arrive (or to wave it off on its journey) and has been proactive and decisive getting…

Hi! I’m new here and just wondering if someone can help me to clarify the meaning of the queen of cups reversed. I pull a daily card and also a daily advice card from my deck.. This must be some kind of sign and I am wondering if anyone can explain to me what this means to pull this card over and over again? Thank you so much in advance!!! :heartz:

These are the cards I believe represent change. I want to delve deeper into their differences and similarities. The Tower is the most different. It signifies some external event or revelation (often unexpected or shocking) that produces a change. The change could be mental/emotional or real. For example, you find out that your partner has been cheating on you, and you suddenly question if you’ve ever known this person. Everything changes. This is a Tower moment. The change from the Tower is externally imposed. Something happens to you, causing a change. Judgement generally refers to some kind of internal change. Often, when the card appears, you a…

Hi everybody!!! So I would like to know if I could get some thoughts on the 10 of pentacles. I know the general meaning of the card like legacy, inheritance and family. But has anyone had this card show up for anything else besides that? I get really tripped up on the 10 of pentacles. What was your experiences with this card when it showed up? Also has anyone ever seen this card show up for being blocked out of something? Idky but I always get a feeling of not being welcomed with this card like a family not accepting you. Or someone not welcoming you into their world so to speak. For some reason those pentacles on the card makes me feel like I have t…

Hello everyone! I’m a newbie so it’s still quite difficult for me to think of the cards in a broader sense or connecting it with something that’s maybe not so obvious to me. When reading about reverse King of Pentacles, it seems very negative. Is there a way to view this card reversed in a more positive way? Curious to hear your insight 🙂

Hello I am new to this tarot forum. I have been doing tarot around three years. A man I think about far far too often... I asked how he sees me. Overall. He saw I had a soft, sensitive side. He was a Pisces and sometimes I felt he could see into me telepathically. I was going through a rough time. If I had met him now two years later (yes it was that long ago!) I feel we could have established a friendship. I truly miss him though I never knew him. Isn’t it strange? Perhaps I should spend my time in therapy rather than just doing tarot 😂 anywho I thought it was an interesting combo

Hi all I've just got this revelation around the tarot card 8 of cups - especially the image from Rider Waite. At the website www.learntarot.com one can find the keywords for the card to be Deeper Meaning - Moving On - Weariness. I saw myself as a deep water fish - communicating with light. I have a ladyfriend who asks me every time I struggle if she should light a candle for me, and strange enough it helps. The Salvation Army has a christmas donation show on TV the name "A light in the dark". I thought it just was an expression about hope, but now I believe it's also actually about lighting a candle in a dark room. I did a Tarot Shadow Work (book by Christi…

Hello everyone! I just started doing tarot readings recently. I did a tarot reading about a boy who I like and I was wondering what were his feelings towards me. I drew the Chariot and the 6 of wands as a clarifier. Here is my interpretation of these two cards. These cards symbolize someone who has a goal in mind and would like me to celebrate his victory at the end of this. I'm not sure about these two card combinations because they seem very similar. I know they're both about victory. What would you say these cards represent as for a feelings about someone in your experience? Thank you for reading this post …
