We have been talking about this in my coven, as none of us are getting any younger... We were talking about all our magical tools and books and bits and pieces, many of which are rare, antique or special, and what might happen to them when we are no longer here. We have discussed having a “magical executor” who could deal with all the stuff separately from other bequests. Some of us who are authors and scholars will bequeath papers to various museums and archives; some of us have made specific bequests to loved ones and magical colleagues. I am wondering about leaving tools, books, robes, etc in some way where they can be divided amongst pagans who can't afford them. This might include my tarot collection, but then I started wondering if anyone else has considered this... I have been looking at some of the amazing collections people have (Gregory alone could open a fabulous museum!) and wondering if anyone has made any arrangements about their collections. I am also wondering if there is a tarot museum anywhere, actual real life one, not online? Edited October 2, 2020 by Mab Better expressed

It's actually the rabbit collection that will give him headaches - over 1000 figurines of rabbits. When people ask me who will inherit my rabbit collection I say "you mean who will get stuck with my rabbit collection"!

My physical collection of decks, tools and books are really modest and battered but I would want them to go to a loving home where they benefited someone else. Hmmm. Unfortunately, right now all I can think of is must make sure decades from now, someone will open the first box of esoteric stuff they inherit from me and go "Why is there these tweezers tagged as Gregory's in here next to that athame? If I go first, you can have my Chinese ear cleaning tools and some other odds and ends for similar grooming activities. I haven't used them. Honest. And they have little dolls on the handles.

They go to one of my daughters, who will distribute and/or sell them to the people I would choose, doing it all with the respect the decks deserve. I would happily leave them to my partner, who would do likewise - but he and I are of an age, so... daughter is better.

You said that you had a list and that if anyone ever asked you if they were on the list, they would immediately get taken off it. That was my very favorite part of your post!! 🤣 I don't think I have anyone eager to inherit my collection of decks, nor my collection of rocks and nature finds. But maybe I am wrong 😁
