VGimlet Posted December 25, 2020 Author Posted December 25, 2020 Still using the Mary-el for the next few weeks. Closing out this year, starting the new. Happy Winter Holidays to everyone. 🙂❄️
katrinka Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 I think what's kept me away thus far is the thread title: Deck of the Weeek. Some basic literacy might invite more participation. Just sayin'.
Amberjune Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 Thank you for the new thread, @VGimlet. I never even noticed the typo until now, @katrinka!! My decks for the week are the Vision Quest Tarot and the Oracle of Illumination by Vicky and Philip Argyle. Happy new year, everyone!
Mi-Shell Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 I will spend the next few Weeeks with my new John Bauer Tarot.

You all have inspired me to join in with my own deck of the weeek! Haven’t been here in a while, excited 💖 I’ll be working with my Oak, Ash & Thorn Tarot. I’m also working with Prisma Visions for my Sacred Days of Yule reading, so perhaps I should include that here as well. Thank you, VG!
Bodhiseed Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 Sending a warm hug to all the DoWers, especially to our fearless leader, VG. 🤎 I'm in this week with the Primordial Tarot paired with the Wisdom of the Forest.
Mi-Shell Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 To welcome @RavenOfSummer to our little group I will show you the Magician from the John Bauer Tarot - with his 3 Ravens: I am not so sure, what to make of him yet and need the help of a Raven expert!
blue_crow_laura Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 Happy New Year, all! I'll be spending this week with my Aquarian Tarot...it's my clean, clear comfie blanket after all that holiday stimulation. 🙂

It's so beautiful @Mi-Shell, thank you, I feel welcomed!!! I certainly see this Magician as someone capable of great things with the support of his magical friends 🖤 I had forgotten about this deck, but I may have to put it on my list! 😊

Oops! 😱 Thanks for pointing this out katrinka, It wasn't meant to be precious. Copy and paste is not always our friend, and a polite heads-up is welcome. Now back to the DOTWeeek Welcome back RavenofSummer!! blue_crow_laura - I love the Aquarian - it was my only deck for 39 years, and still holds a special place in my heart. I still love my Mary-El, even after all these years, and am glad I chose it for the end of the dreadful year 2020 - and the new beginning of 2021. Edited December 26, 2020 by VGimlet Correcting typos, adding more info...all those things.

I think, it is not a deck for tarot newbies, but you could find it interesting......

Bodhiseed Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 This week I'll be using the Primordial Tarot, with art by Sergio Toppi and booklet by Barbara Moore. It was published by Lo Scarabeo. Along with it, I'll be drawing from the Wisdom of the Forest, a deck created and self-published by Jessica Purser. Today's draws are Woman of Nature (Queen of Pentacles) and Give: I vow not to take what is not given, but to practice generosity. ~Buddhist precept The stability of many families lies with its matriarchs, symbols of feminine strength and resourcefulness. Moore says, "Whatever she faces, she makes her way through it all with a core of strength, faith, and love." She doesn't act from the attitude of "what's in it for me," but follows the compass of "what's in it for us." Purser suggests that giving starts with kindness and compassion toward ourselves, then radiates outward. This practice is more than simply being nice or doing a good deed; it makes all involved feel seen and of value, connected to all the rest. The best portions of a good person's life are little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love. ~William Wordsworth
