Page of Ghosts Posted April 14, 2018 Posted April 14, 2018 The Shadowscapes Tarot came on Thursday and I'm very pleasantly surprised with it. The box is the sturdy new type from Llewellyn, cardstock is not as thin as I'd feared (or I accept that type more since using the Faeries Oracle a lot) and even if this deck would benefit from a larger size I don't think it's too tiny to be usable. I haven't used it yet so I look forward to doing that soon.

Saturn Celeste Posted April 18, 2018 Posted April 18, 2018 The Everyday Enchantment Tarot just arrived! It's a big mamma jamma. I mean I knew it would be big but I forgot how chunky it would be too. I love the court cards already and am so happy to see my native wildlife in the images! I don't know why I forgot Poppy lived in the UK but those lil European badgers reminded me <3. Doing okay with all the borders except for on one suit. The rest are bright, bold and lift the images but the soft, earthy red in the wands drags the images down for me. Rather wish Schiffer had gone with orange or something. Oh well. I think I'll still get away with not trimming them. Will have to wait and see. I think I've sussed the best way to physically shuffle and draw with them, so now it's time to get reading. There are a lot of fresh takes on the tarot imagery in here (as I expected) so it'll be fascinating to see how they pop intuitively. I decided to get this deck after all and the images are large enough the borders don’t bother me. I just received the deck today and love it! I also received The Oracle of Mystic Moments which was a total impulse buy but am thrilled with the deck! I have recieved the Fairy Lights Tarot and it's beautiful, reminds me the Enchanted Forest Tarot in it's style. A magical and not so light as it may seem. Also got my Russian verse of Archetypes And Shadows with the book. *happy noises*

I used to be in touch with quite a few Polish speakers when I lived abroad. Will have to think if there's someone I know to ask these days. And I had no idea this deck had a following! I'll have to look back through the AT archive, and maybe I could ask Dan directly as well.

First time I ever ordered 3rd party from Amazon, (VF) no tracking, & tomorrow will be a week. Why am I doing this when I’m enthralled with Viceversa? I just like pretty pictures. It didn’t work out with the Victorian Fairy Tarot. After 4 weeks of rushing to my empty mailbox every day...I contacted Amazon to refund my $$. The seller wouldn’t respond to me & didn’t provide tracking. I wonder if they listed it for another sucker. Guess it just wasn’t meant to be. But I’ll not order 3rd party again. And I gave away Victorian Fairy tarot yrs ago. And I would do it again because it’s well-loved.
