gregory Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 Ah - that is actually the edition I have. I'd no idea it was OOP. Goodness - it only cost me £15.... (in 2005...) But the book never sold separately, as far as I know; I thought that was what was being suggested.
Guest Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 Thanks for all the help guys! I've scoured the internet and all I can find are sets. They are not that egregiously priced though. If I do take a deep liking to the Lover's Path, I may just buy a set later on. BTW the app seems to be available in the iOS App Store? I've never worked with the Apple ecosystem so I can't say if this is legit: https://apptopia.com/ios/app/331762890/about Sad they didn't create a version for Google Play or I would've snapped it up just to see. I know Fool's Dog apps usually include the text of the companion book if one's available. Anyways, moving on.
Teemu Posted December 4, 2022 Posted December 4, 2022 (edited) Mmm the A'Ha oracle will join my collection. Hopefully soon, after travelling around the world. Edited December 4, 2022 by Teemu

I haven't unsealed it yet, but before purchasing it I have watched a number of review videos. It should have the spreadsheet and booklet described in the Abebooks link. However, the book I and @Aliki were talking about is the one included in the OOP set that one can see here: https://www.abebooks.co.uk/servlet/BookDetailsPL?bi=31363766866 The book included there goes in much greater detail than the booklet, as one can verify here: In the video, a card has paragraphs of explication whereas in the booklet, it usually only has one or two, as can be seen in the sample that can be downloaded through the USG link that @Teemu provided. I hope that clarified things. Fr the book here is so thick and the one on mine is a tiny paper guidebook 😅 i so want that book it's my second favourite deck besides my rws but no luck finding it separately and the set price as an oop is insane especially if you already have the deck
KiMo Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 I bought myself a copy of the Ritual Tarot by Tiera May as a birthday present to myself, it's coming from the other side of the world so it won't arrive in time but that's ok!
Scarlet Woodland Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 Just ordered a couple of rather lovely RWS clones from TarotCardsDarkForest on Etsy. I grabbed the Waterproof Borderless Vintage, because I've been looking for another waterproof deck and the Watercolor Borderless Plastic because it's damn pretty and I'll already be paying the shipping (and prob customs fees) on the first, so might as well 😅. The decks cost less than a lot of mass market ones do right now. That's my excuse anyway and I'm sticking to it. Okay I'm stopping now. Supposed to be selling decks not buying them! These will be my christmas pressie to self though, as they'll take a fair while to arrive.

These and reprints on expensive oop decks before buying are the ones i really really like on these kind of decks there's a huge amount of options on rws and there are so many stunning ones too 👁️👄👁️ i even saw a glow in the dark one the amount of options is literally insane
Aliki Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 I just ordered the Gilded Reverie Lenormand Expanded Edition and the Oracle of Shadows & Light
Eno Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 Finally my Yokai Yoshi Tarot arrived, getting that was hard work...
gregory Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 Mine has arrived in Canada (she wouldn't mail directly to the UK and I wasn't about to risk the etsy thing.) I won't see it till next May.... But at least I OWN it now, and my friend can enjoy it meanwhile !
Scarlet Woodland Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 I sold a deck that had been sitting around, making me feel guilty for not using it, this weekend and got a little Christmas bonus from my boss today, so figured I could treat myself. Ordered my dither deck, Soul Cats Tarot. Still have reservations on a few cards but if it ends up being just a set of beautiful little cat paintings rather than a reading deck, that's still A-OK for £23.48. I've got a good feeling about it though. Fingers crossed.

I've got the tarot of the Abyss and Luz; they are nice but nothing special for me. I have to be more selective!
Rupicapra Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 Still waiting for the Slavic Legends, it's been in the UK for a week, but due to Royal Mail strikes it's still stuck somewhere. I didn't want to buy anymore, but then I gave in ordered the Tarot of the Abyss anyway. My Christmas present for me 😄
Guest Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 Ordered the Dark Side of Tarot Set by Roi and Graham. Should arrive here from overseas by next month. My four-month wait for Le Minchiate Fiorentine by Tuan comes to an end this Christmas week. It took the (literal) slow boat from England, but the shipping fee was drastically lowered. If it arrives in good condition, I'd say the wait was very much worth it.
Wyrdkiss Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 I am waiting, still, to order The Deviant Moon Oracle. I'm wondering when it will finally get released. In the meantime, I may pick up another back-up copy of my go-to RWS variant, the Darkness of Light Tarot.
janefisher6661 Posted December 15, 2022 Posted December 15, 2022 The Fantasy Showcase Tarot. Looks so beautiful, can't wait to decode. I love 70s-style decks.
Misterei Posted December 17, 2022 Posted December 17, 2022 Reprints and the waiting game. I first saw Lasenic deck mentioned on this forum by @katrinka and was intrigued. I adore all things art deco and art nouveau … but of course it was OOP. Well Pyroskin just dropped a reprint … which after 2 days fiddling with their wonky website … I managed to oder. I think its coming from Czech republic …? Anyway I hope this story ends more happily than the Il Meneghello reprint fiasco of Piedmontese as a Majors only deck (I felt it was a rip-off even tho I should have read the description better). I was sooo disappointed to have wasted a good chunk of money on that outrageously overpriced nonsense. God willing this Lesenic reprint is the real thing. Fingers crossed.

Found an advantage to half the useful workers in the UK being on strike too. No customs fees 😁. Mwa ha ha ha.
legendaryelement Posted December 20, 2022 Posted December 20, 2022 I got my order of the Standard Playing Card Tarot!
Rachelcat Posted December 29, 2022 Posted December 29, 2022 @legendaryelement, I really like the Standard Playing Card Tarot! It was surprisingly easy to read! I hope you're enjoying it! Oh, I’ve gotten SO MANY since my last post on November 24! Here’s a rambling recap: I’ve been searching for oracles with keywords to use as spread cards (or reading themes) and came up with Signs of the Times Oracle, a Hay House deck. Only a few days ago did I realize it’s by the same author-artist, Krystal Banner, as the Swatches of Chakra Deck that I already got from her Etsy shop, Kaleidadope. So we must be on the same wavelength! In our Capital Tarot Society gift exchange, I got Tarot de Paris, the photographic one by J. Philip Thomas. It will probably be passed along in a later gift exchange. I appreciate it as a part of recent tarot history, but I really don’t have any connection with Paris. I finally received my preorder from Llewellyn of Notoria: Tarot in Light. As I mentioned in the deck of the week thread, it’s just too creepy for angels, so I immediately ordered the OTHER angel and demon paired decks, Angel Tarot and Occult Tarot by Travis McHenry. While Christmas shopping, I found in Target the Millennial Lotería, a satirical remake of traditional Mexican lotería cards. I’ve been toying for years with reading with lotería but never have. Maybe I’ll pair them for a deck of the week. I’ve been watching random #only10massmarketdecks YouTube videos and found two more keywordy oracles: Sacred Symbols For Divination and Meditation Oracle Deck and Woodland Wardens 52-Card Oracle Deck & Guidebook. And now I have an Amazon gift card from a generous coworker burning a whole in my pocket, so why not? For some reason, it’s going to take a while to get the Wardens, but I’ve received everything else mentioned above. The Kickstarter Into the Void: The Black Cat Tarot is about to be shipped, I think. My other Kickstarter Urban Incantations Tarot is funded and expected sometime soon? And I’m still awaiting Spirit Keeper’s Tarot, Revelation Edition, second printing, still projected for March or April. Whew! That’s it! My list of decks received in 2022 is almost embarrassing, almost!, but today’s Sacred Days of Yule card for inner child is 6 of Coins, so I’m going with the idea that spending money on fun is good for me, at least for now.
FindYourSovereignty Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 Today I received a big bundle of decks. The decks and books are like new. Warms my heart to add these to my treasured collection. Last week I received the Serpent and the Peacock deck and book set. I’m looking forward to chatting with you about this one, @gregory, after yours arrives.
Guest Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 Can't wait to work with my Golden Tarot by Kat Black. What a beauty!
Saule Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 I ordered Soul Cats Tarot today - it was love at first sight. I'm so excited!
