This thread is for those who would like to work through their collection of decks.  Each week we will be picking a deck (or decks) to work with for the week.

 

All are welcome. Please join us!      The only rules we have are the Tarot Tea & Me rules; be respectful to each other.    

 

You can drop in and out anytime,   time and real life permitting.   New to tarot?  Long time reader?   Come on in.

2. Chat away about your deck, how you're finding it etc., or not - it's all up to you.

I'm moving on to the Surrealist tarot on Saturday.   

 

I put your switch to the Otherkin here Mi-Shell, even though you may want to switch later or no.  👁️   I will keep an eye out if you change.

I will be getting to know the two decks that I just received, the Murder of Crows and the Santa Muerte decks. I'll be dogsitting and working overtime in the next 5 days so hopefully I have some time.

Edit, do I have to pick just one?  I've already started on the Santa Muerte deck, so I guess let's go with that one 🙂

I’ve lost some focus and want to get back in the swing of things. Everting feels chaotic and all over the place, so this week is the Tower Takeover Deck. Which seems fitting for the almost end of a full calendar year of the pandemic. It’s not Christmassy, but carona hair, don’t care!

This week I'll be using the Ship of Fools Tarot created by Brian Williams and published by Llewellyn. Paired with it will be the Wisdom of the Four Winds created by Barry Brailsford, illustrated by Cecilie Okada and published by StonePrint Press. Today's draws are the Nine of Cups and Lightning:

 

A large group of fools seem to be celebrating one of their own; I can almost hear them singing "For he's a jolly good fellow." It's nice to get that pat on the back, but I can't help but think of Buddhism's Eight Worldly Concerns: gain and loss, praise and blame, fame and insignificance, and pleasure and pain. As Lightning appears, it reminds me that we never get to stay on the 'up' side of the see-saw for too long. Yet if we spend all of our time worrying and trying to avoid the negative side, we use up a lot of energy that could have been used for enjoying life. Life, like see-saws, will always move up and down.

Welcome to the DOTW group @Petalene - I like that Tower Takeover deck, I have a friend who ALWAYS gets the tower when I read for her, I might have to get it just for her, haha.   (And things always go down, too, which have been both positive and negative - that tricksy tower....)

 

We actually had a little skiff of snow here - I love it when it snows on my birthday.   I'm off work this week too - which is always good.   😄

I was a wonderful busy day with people coming by to bring Winter Solstice presents and asking to get their Solstice Blessings for their families.

Just like last year, we did it all outside this time in sunny but somewhat windy weather, so all buggggs got blown "the other way"

I also received several decks among the presents, and the first one I will get to know on our thread for next week.
