Hello!  Stopping in to introduce myself.  Kind of new to tarot / fortune telling / oracle cards.  Been interested for a good many years but far too busy with life to really dig into it as much as I'd like.  I'd start to dabble it and then fade away from it, rinse and repeat (over and over again).  Now at a point in my life where I'm finding a little extra time to be able to pursue some more of my interests.

Part II - My maternal family line has some Transylvania Saxon ancestry (German expats in present day Romania) that hail from the Carpathian mountains.  Though interested in all types of cards, have a keen interest in the old style Eastern European fortune telling cards from Austria / Hungary.  Have yet to actually purchase a set - right now, just reading, learning, but that's what brought me here.  I have an older Rider-Waite deck that I started practicing from many years ago as well as a few oracle decks (The Wisdom of Trees, Earth Magic) and a old Gypsy Witch deck.

Part III - Other than that, a little about me, I live in Florida's Nature Coast area (not a fan of Florida though, especially the HOT weather), I do software support for doctor's offices, I have two cats [Chloe (a boy) and Mozart], I have a daughter in college (studying chemistry and technical writing), I love researching topics I'm interested in until ridiculous hours of the morning (definitely a night owl).

Part IV - I'm into yoga and mediation [more the mediation than the yoga, but I'm trying (I actually went through yoga teach training)], hated history up through high school but took a Humanities course in college that forever changed my perspective (I love history now, especially in relation to culture, arts and religion), I dabble in genealogy (my grandparents traced our family tree back to the 1600's - and that was before computers were commonly in homes).

Part V (the last) - I love crystals and minerals and have a nice little collection I've built up, traveled outside the US for the first time in my life to India (Delhi, Punjab) literally just before the pandemic started, I'm fascinated by religion (what people believe in and why) and I love learning about new things!

Hmm well

The old Marseilles type deck may be up your ally.

There is the lenormand currently imo the latest rage as it come over..

The kipper is a close second

You have your other oracles whose name escapes me, like the gyspy oracles.

Course it depends on what artwork works for you, like Marseilles doesn't for me due to pips being not illustrate

Thanks for your 5 post intro. That is an inventatibmve way to get to the five posts hehe

@HOLMES HaHa  Either inventive or I just have too much to say!  I actually lean introverted, but once I start talking, difficult to be quiet ; )  I found a few good threads here that I already started to follow.  It seems I'm drawn to the much earlier artwork styles, more simple and not heavily illustrated, but I can see myself picking up a few different decks over time.  Started reading about the Lenormand decks last night (which is what kept me up to the wee morning hours last night) lol.

Well it's still a very small library that we are slowly growing. So all contributions are greatly appreciated!

Yes, you did it correctly! When I have time later I will be going through to approve and sort the images into albums 😊
