Lenormand for advise

So I’m trying to use Lenormand for advice. I am putting out a 3x3 spread and I am wondering which way should it be read.

I am assuming it won’t be read as past, present, future

1-2-3

4–5-6

7-8-9

would the advise be 2+4+5+6+8 or would it be 3-6-9. And if 3-6-9, what would be 1-4-7 and 2-5-8?

Hey @ashwsh I am moving this question to the Section Lenormand Beginners. This is not experimental, this is how Lenormand can be used. You can use it how ever you want: past, present, future. It is difficult to explain without a question. Let us say you are asking: how do I find my dream apartment?

The past would be what brought you there, what was the issue you are not in the dream apartment, what was leading up to the present not being in that place you dream of. And the future is then read as the advice.

You can read the corners and the inner circle. The meaning of the cards would just be different.

The article says if you get a fox then behave like a fox, be cunning..I’m wondering what would it be for mice?

The spread I got was for advice on how too how to increase my chances of getting a new position at work?

Moon- dog-sun

Rider-crossroad-mice

Heart-whip-bear

 

I think central card for cross road is telling me to make right choices.

past- moon-rider-heart :- news of new position opening up has come to me and it what I would like to do

 

present - dog- crossroad-whip : my boss/collleagues have had discussions around it. It is definitely not the best position to apply for.

 

Advice- sun-mice-bear: maybe I should through some light on deception of other people to the authority/hiring manager or prove how they are not qualified.

ok here are my thoughts.

Totally agree with you that this is all about making decisions.

I also agree with you on the past: Moon - Rider - Heart: Jobs came up that you liked.

 

Present: Dog - Crossroad - Whip

Is there any colleague who influences your decisions? I think it also says you should stay true to the decision you made and stop questioning yourself.

 

Advice: Sun - Mice - Bear

Sun = Opportunities, success

Mice = Decay, theft

Bear = Power, protection, strength

 

In my opinion it seems like once you took a decision it will be ok. Being undecided leads to lessening your energy, success and power. I do not think it is a good idea to go to HR and tell them that others are not qualified. It would be much better to show them that you are qualified.

What I find interesting is, that we have both the moon and the Sun in the corners. I think you long for people to see your qualities (Moon - Bear) and really want to be successful, that is your biggest wish (Sun - Heart). 
Do you have a co-worker who is loyal and you can trust? I think you should find someone who can advise you on how to get a better position. (Dog - Rider - Crossroad) And you have to try to overcome your self-doubts (Mice - Bear).

 

All in all it seems this situation is really nagging on you and not healthy mentally, and not good for your confidence. 
If this makes sense, a next w]question could be: how do I build up my confidence?

Thank you for your feedback..really appreciate it.

 

My worry about the role is about having to struggle with the super boss, who is exactly not the best person to work with. Maybe it is me, but I do not handle sarcasm well and prefer direct communication. The role would come with large expectations, and it will be additional responsibility for me along with my current work load. However in order guide on this matter, I have a lot of colleagues who can help back me up and guide me here. It is definetly about finding the right one...I will think over it, who can help the most.

 

I am definetly not a snitch..so going to HR or behind anyone;s back is never my modus operandi ever,  I have a huge problem with people who play dirtly. My worry is defiently another person who wants to apply for the role, and I feel his exposure to how the job works or the expectation is not as much as mine. He just came back from a long leave and is not aware of latest expectations and also may not currently have the relationships in place. I'm not saying that that this can't be fixed for them, but certainly in terms of experience and exposure I would qualify better. But I would let people to figure this out themselves and would prefer to focus on myself.

 

Next week when I go to office, I will try and chat with few of my friendly colleagues and see who can be a good help here. I do feel my super boss will make one of them sit on the interview panel.

 

Let me try my hands on the question you suggested and also I'm somehow itching to do a spread on what the outcome would be If i do apply for this role

Sounds good! Networking still works and is the best in my opinion. I do understand you itch for the outcome. I could not ask that question if the answer is not what I want to hear, I would for sure screw up the interview.

I question could also be: what can I do to have the best chance to get the job.

Ok…so here I tried to a spread on ‘what do I need to do to crack this interview’? I am to make a presentation for this interview.

 

Here is what I got:

corners first:

Bear + Tower : organization is looking for someone experienced 

whip + clover : and there has been consistent chatter about this job..here and there

Central there is heart. I am quite in liking with the new position. It is genuinely what I would like to do 

Column 1: Bear - Stork - clover organization provided and supported my financial requests last year and provided correction to compensation 

Column 2: Sun-Heart- Woman

work has been great till now, and I have enjoyed it.

Column 3: whip - Mice - tower

as advice probably my focus in the interview should be keep the discussion focussed on the issues and challenges the business is facing and my plans to succumb them.

Your question was: ‘what do I need to do to crack this interview’?

 

To answer: Bear + Tower : organization is looking for someone experienced . Does not say what YOU need to do but talks about the organization.

 

So let us look at it:

Bear + Tower = Perfekt and strong leader

Whip + Clover = Resolve conflicts

 

In my opinion that means you have to show that you are a strong leader and able to resolve conflicts.

 

Column 1: Bear - Stork - Clover
I assume you read this as the past?

I wonder if you ever had the chance for another position, but you did not accept it?

 

Column 2:  Sun-Heart- Woman

As you asked how to crack that interview, I would say it is important that you show that you want to be successful, that you are you passionate about it.

 

Column 3: Whip - Mice - Tower
It seems there are conflicts within the company. And I think you have to show them that you can lessen them and stand your ground. And that you can handle stressful situations.

I was offered a position sometime 6months ago by another team, but I did not want to make a lateral move. There would have been no change in grade and let alone the fact that I would have reported to someone who doesnt understand what I do. It is difficult to be in such positions. Also that team has a lot of drama of their own..so I had to decline it. But the current team manager did work to change my portfolio and my compensation.

I just finished applying for the position minutes ago, I am hopeful things work out for me.

 a quick question can fish stand for competition? I’m wondering in this context it comes here as that. I asked if I will know the outcome of the interview this coming week?

I had the panel interview last week with the internal team and this week there was no movement on it, so I am wondering if any news will come today

I know another person applied for this position and she hasn’t heard back anything either.

my colleague who was on the panel told me that they meet last week and reached an agreement and now super boss blessings are required.

fish threw me off but I think is process or the competition here

tower is the organization

coffin - ending

ring- agreement coming through

 

panel discussion on the competition has come to an end to reach an agreement and a proposal comes

I understand but there is no financial conversation here that has happened or hasn’t even reached that stage.
 

Oh yes, maybe that is what it could mean, that financial discussions, that come with the change will end (because there is an expected grade and pay increase that would come, if I do get the offer) and subsequently the written proposal (ring)

The question was: If I will know the outcome of the interview this coming week?

 

Cards drawn: Garden, fish, tower, coffin, ring

 

This is a YES/NO question. So we have:

 

Garden : neutral
Fish : positive
Tower : neutral
Coffin : negative
Ring : neutral

 

The short answer is 'maybe yes' or 'maybe no' will you get an answer. It really is 50 / 50 here.

 

Tower is the company I do agree with you.

 

Garden, Fish and Tower feels like this has something to do with finances which effects on the company. Is the company in financial troubles? Coffin and ring then points that there will be a new start.

 

I like to mirror the cards if there are five:

Garden & Ring = public announcement

Fish & Coffin = there seem to be some financial difficulities

 

I wonder if the company is about to make some announcements that they are in financial difficulties...

So financial worries are lurking on most companies for last few weeks and we are part of the same shop. That is why no hiring from outside, so that won’t change much. So things are tight. No extra expenses. Since company is very reputed it won’t put itself at a stage of vulnerability…that won’t happen. I’m pretty sure of it. 
Anyway I will keep you posted as to what happens this week.

Since the work week is about to end in couple of mins, I just thought may be I can put in a quick update here.

Monday afternoon, I was verbally offered the position however the paperwork and financial discussions are happening at the back end which I have not seen yet.

I have been asked to keep quite about the offer till then. 

Today after waiting the whole week I asked my boss on when to expect the papers, he said he doesnt know yet. Team reached out to him for information and he shared it with them yesterday. So no movement here.

So probably garden, fish, tower, coffin are a part of discussions back and forth and in the background. Ring for now is only a verbal offer. still waiting for something in written to come through.

So here Is the about EC. EC is my work colleague and both she and I decided to apply for the promotion. EC came back from maternity leave 3 months ago and is desperate to improve her work situation. 
My boss picked me and promoted me and this makes new role now makes me EC’s boss.

I asked what would be the best way to deal with EC. Im not sure where her head is at. I feel she would attempt to bypass me or may want to quit. She already negotiated a raise with him too.

Mice + Birds - loss has caused anxiety

Key + snake - delay in success

Central theme- Dog.

it probably suggests that I should build her as a support. 
purely looking at from the last column pov: there is a disconnection with her in terms, and she probably sees me as a danger to her success. Maybe cards advise me to put that rest with her.

Thanks @joy. I had my one on one with EC. It was an emotional conversation and a bit demanding too. She seems to lack the understanding that for everything there is a suitable time and cannot be done immediately. She seems to be in some what rush to grow. Anyway I will hope I can her support the best I can, but she will have to not push me. I will do it, when the timing is right and most importantly feels right to me.

Hi @joyI was thinking about the scythe in this spread. The reason I came back to this spread was because last week I was talking to my boss and he mentioned to me that I should feel free to let go off EC if she creates trouble. She did try to bypass me on few things, and I am trying to be patient with her. But push comes to shove I may have to, even though it may not be my preferred path to take.

Interesting! What was the time frame for this reading?
