FindYourSovereignty Posted September 24, 2024 Posted September 24, 2024 I received a notice my Telos Tarot of 777 is arriving on Thursday. Since we are only a state away, I think it might even arrive tomorrow. This is my first M.M.Meleen deck and I am really looking forward to working with it. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mmmeleen/telos-tarot-of-777
gregory Posted September 25, 2024 Posted September 25, 2024 I have an LoS Anima Antiqua coming - tomorrow, the tracking says.
FindYourSovereignty Posted September 25, 2024 Posted September 25, 2024 As anticipated, the deck did arrive today and it is truly beautiful. @gregory, I’ve been considering that deck off and on. Have you collected all of their historical deck creations?
Natural Mystic Guide Posted October 17, 2024 Posted October 17, 2024 (edited) Here is what the postman didn't bring: 1. I learned of the Witches’ Wisdom Tarot, by Phyllis Curott and Danielle Barlow, from a woman who was posting images of cards that she was reading with on a Tarot FB group that I am active on. These women are for real serious witches and channeled the deck — much the same as Benebell Wen channeled the SKT. I was immediately taken with the images. She told me that the deck did deviate some from traditional Tarot. I really like what I saw. Yes, it does deviate — perhaps in a good way as the Major Arcana are largely retooled. I’m studying it now. I was able to buy this through Tokopedia, an Indonesian equivalent of Amazon on the only store that doesn't sell pirated decks. How can you tell? It cost 5 X as much; there are none in stock so you have to pre-order versus tons in stock; it takes 30 days instead of being immediately available. 2. The Greenwood Tarot, by Mark Ryan and Chesca Potter, has been at the top of my wish list for year. Rare and out of print it sometimes commands astronomical prices. A couple of years ago, I had a dream wherein I was shuffling a new Greenwood Tarot deck which prompted me to do an online search. Sure enough the Mark Ryan had just announced the re-printing. I waited and waited. I don’t think it is happening for legal reasons. I became resigned to shelling out the big bucks. I found one that only cost me only an arm, not an arm and a leg. This deck is based on pre-Celtic shamanism. I fell in love with it when I first saw card images many years ago — not realizing how unavailable it was. Thanks to all of you here who have encouraged me in my quest for this deck. Finally! 3. Here on the Tarot Forum, I was introduced to the Norse Goddess Rune Oracle by Rebecca Joy Stark by @Rachelcat. We both hang out at the Deck of the Week. I have a set of the Elder Futhark runes and have been studying a little. I am so image oriented, though. I liked the looks of these cards. I thought that having the visual would help me to learn. Plus, I like the feminine orientation. So these latter two decks had quite a trip coming to me. A American client, who I had never met face to face, was coming to Bali to visit me. She graciously agreed to act as courier to bring these two decks. First the decks went to Taipei. Then Cambodia. Next they travelled to Singapore. All in this lady's carry on. Finally they arrived in Bali yesterday. What a thrill. When are You coming to Bali? I have lunch and a reading waiting just for you. Natural Mystic Guide Posted October 17, 2024 Posted October 17, 2024 Yes, I agree. It was the card images that initially drew me in before I knew anything about the deck. Aesthetics is always my top criterium in deck evaluation. Do you work with the deck yourself?

No, this is the first time I've seen it. 😊

Look for more postings of card images from the Witches' Tarot in our Deck of the Week forum. I shall be dedicating the next several weeks to getting better acquainted with the deck.
Toreador Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 I ordered the Bohemian Gothic and Victorian Romantic months ago. Unfortunately, our Customs flagged them for reasons undetermined. I had to engage brokers to acquire them on my behalf. It was all quite expensive but very much worth it. This ravishing duo is everything I expected and more. I think that after a decade of accruing sundry decks, I may have finally landed my holy grails. I will be embarking on a serious study of the Bohemian Gothic before the month is through. I'm neither well-versed nor overly enthused with fabrics, but that teal unicorn purse had me smitten at first sight.
Misterei Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 @Toreador I like the fabric back ground for your photos.
Tom Posted November 23, 2024 Posted November 23, 2024 I have the first edition of the Victorian Romantic Tarot. On Acletic Tarot years ago I followed the development of the deck and I regret not having been in on the Kickstarter which featured an extra card, Dance Macabre. I don't know if the newer printing of the deck has this extra or it was just a promotion. I have the Bohemian Gothic but I haven't really explored it. I'm not very much into dark tarot decks, but it's a good addition to my collection. As to what the postman is bringing me, I'm expecting the Ornamented Tarot which is somewhat similar to the Gothic Moon Tarot, which has Tim Burton type characters. I also ordered Hattie Thorn's Winter Pastures Tarot and Lenormand decks which came in a bundle. I think her decks are very pretty and she has a deck and Lenormand for every season now. Does anyone have the Nightmare Before Christmas Tarot, if so do you like it?
Rose Lalonde Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 (edited) Recently received the Telos Tarot of 777 by MM Meleen and the gilded House of the Rising Spade playing cards from Stockholm 17. (And a couple of decks that should go well in our Self-Collected Oracle Draws thread which uses game cards, etc. -- The asset decks for Starforged and Sundered Isles.) Toreador Posted November 30, 2024 Posted November 30, 2024 I finally sourced a pristine copy of Baba's The Fairytale Tarot that won't drive me into penury. Patience really is a virtue. Will probably unseal the deck on Christmas Eve.
RunningWild Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 I found out I was getting some cash for the holidays and went on a bit of a buying spree. Nothing new, just new to me. I started with LLewellyn’s site and picked up The Fairy Tarot and Tarot of the Gnomes. I have Pride Tarot coming from amazon. And I ordered Gregory’s Nameless Tarot. I have one more on a very short list that I might acquire but I need to go find some input first. Merry Merry!!
Tom Posted December 9, 2024 Posted December 9, 2024 Great news, enjoy. I funny particularly care for the Pride Tarot, but I'm glad if you inspired by it.

Libra 58 Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 Some of my latest decks: "The Vedic Tarot, East meets West" by Dwina Murphy - Gibb. "The Witches Wisdom Tarot" by Phyllis Curott and Danielle Barlow. "Once Upon A Time Tarot" by Ilaria Fossi and Carole-Anne Eschenazi. "Egyptian Art Nouveau Tarot" by Giulia E. Massaglia. "Soul Cats Tarot" by Leeza Robertson and Adam Oehlers. And some Tarot books in Swedish.
tarotnottaken Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 These came in the mail today. Any Minchiate readers here?
Tom Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 I have an Indy deck coming from Etsy's called Diary of a Skelton. It's one of those deceivingly cute decks. I've found that even cute decks can give remarkably good answers.
Natural Mystic Guide Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 What the postman didn't bring: Brought by hand courier in personal luggage from the U.S. to Bali. When are YOU coming to Bali? Please! Good Fortune Tarot by Barbara Moore illustrated by Jessica Roux; Manzel's Tarot holographic edition; and Lenono Fortune Telling Cards, Japanese edition, by Paris Debono.
akiva Posted December 23, 2024 Posted December 23, 2024 A bit belated as they arrived a few days ago now but thought I'd share some interesting finds: This first is a reproduction of a deck found in the German Playing Card Museum "Leinfelden-Echterdingen". I tried looking for the deck on their site, but I'm not sure if it's a digital collection or only physical. I got it from Amazon, the guide book is in German, but in all honesty these decks were added to Kipper cards to make the Sibilla deck, so if you know Kipper meanings and Sibilla meanings you can easily read these style decks. The Biedermeier and Zigeuner Wahrsagekarten are part of this 'family' of decks too. There's no tuck box for the small-sized deck, it's the kind of packaging with one of those compartments inside a bigger box that the book sits in. The second deck I got is an absolute mystery and I'm hoping someone on here can point me in the right direction 🙏🏻 it's a deck called 4-tell: It came with no instructions, and iirc the seller said it was from the 60's. It's published by Merrywoods Games Clifton Bristol, and that's all I know. It has 72 cards, some are quite easy to understand but some are strange, many seem like slight repeats of others aswell. It feels like there should be a method with this deck, hopefully someone recognises it! The simple images are quite charming 😄
geoxena Posted December 23, 2024 Posted December 23, 2024 (edited) I'm expecting three decks from US Games. They are the Sacred Rose Tarot, Old Style Tarot, and Vintage Wisdom Oracle. Tracking says they are out for delivery today. I know the Sacred Rose has been around for a long time, but it's new to me. I only heard about it recently (I am usually out of the loop!) and read a brief article about its creator, which I thought was interesting. I love that she's a New Yorker. So, I looked at "flip through" videos of the two tarot decks and surprisingly there were no cards in either deck that bugged me. It is very rare that a deck doesn't have at least one card that I dislike or which disappoints me. The oracle deck I ordered is one I used to have and liked but somehow lost a few years ago. So I'm looking forward to having it again. I just used to use it occasionally to add a focus or theme at the end of tarot readings. I only have one other oracle deck. I also ordered the Light Seer's Tarot from somewhere else, basically because it was on sale for $15. I know that one's fairly popular. I did look at a flip-through on that one, too, and liked it. It's expected to arrive at the end of the week. I probably won't buy more decks for quite a while now. I plan on selling off a bunch of my decks that I never connected with and don't use, since I have limited space in my new apartment, but I also wanted to get some that I think will work better for me. Sometimes I wish I could afford pricey indie decks, as there are a few that have piqued my interest, but I have to be frugal. And I really just want a very small, core collection that I can relate to. Edited December 23, 2024 by geoxena
