Oh! Totally understandable—beautiful!

I didn't know about this calendar.

Every now and then I see Tarot cards (Majors only) that came with German magazines like Bravo, or with the French Cosmopolitan. Do you collect these, too?

I have one from Bravo, somewhere, and another from Actuel; one that was given away with Elle, among others. Not a big thing, but if they came my way cheap....

Just ordered the Allcento Tarot, which I saw somebody mention here on the forum.  It looks interesting and fun.  I watched a YouTube flip through, and am really looking forward to it.  Of course there are the usual tarot cards (Major and minor arcana) but lots of others as well, including various archetypes and astrological figures.  I'm looking forward to the book that comes with it as well, to explain what the creator wanted the extra cards to be used for.  This is a bit outside my usual tarot experience.  Love the bright and simple, yet easily understandable artwork that, in many cases, adds to a card's traditional meaning ...at least for me.  I think it will take a couple of weeks to arrive. Anticipation!

It arrived yesterday!  VERY interesting deck and approach to tarot (and astrology) in general. Plus the card stock is very easy to shuffle and handle.  Like it a lot, thus far.  100 cards in this deck!

Diramazioni Tarot, I finally was able to grab one from the creator on Etsy.  Got the last copy by the skin of my teeth. Extremely excited to see it in hand. (this is not my picture).

Oh, gosh.  That one looks really interesting.  I'm not normally a fan of 'dark' decks ...or neutral colours.  But the images here are really striking.  I love the 2 of Wands.  The fellow is obviously on a threshold of some kind.  It's more specific, really, that the standard RWS/clone version ...where the guy is just looking out to sea ...which is a bit too similar to the 3 of Wands in some decks.  This looks like a deck you could really read with.  I hope you like it a lot, when it arrives.  And good that you managed to grab a deck before they were all gone.

Thank you. Unfortunately Tariff complexities caused my order to be cancelled. So I'm still looking desperately for this deck.

I agree on that 2 of wands, it is a nice difference from the standard RWS.

You could ask the creator, usually they re-release this deck from time to time, hopefully the tariff situation will have been resolved by then.

That was who I bought it from.   He wrote me personally.  He re-released it but only with 4 copies available.   So i'm out of luck, but, to your point, the future may clear up and he may have more. Keeping an eye on it for sure.

Cross my fingers and am almost sure that you'll get your copy in the future. 🤞🍀

Fingers crossed!  I think I finally found a 'real' copy of The Tarot of the 78 Doors, by Lo Scarabeo.  It was for sale on eBay, complete with photos of the packaging (very different from the other version of the deck that I mistakenly bought years ago) AND the Lo Scarabeo name card is also included.  Very inexpensive ...around £12, including UK postage.  I bought it this morning. The deck is used, but that doesn't bother me at all.  In fact, I find I love used tarot cards.  They carry something extra, for me.

Years ago, I ordered a new copy of The Tarot of the 78 Doors from Amazon, because the card illustrations really intrigued me. However, what I received was obviously a fake deck, printed on what I can only call rough cardboard, in a very flimsy, unmarked flip box.  (A big bend on my learning curve, regarding pirated decks.) I still love the unique 'take' of the cards, but found I simply couldn't use that deck as it will NOT shuffle.  So it's been sitting in my 'to be discarded' box for some time, but I've never actually got rid of it. I do love to take it out and look at the depictions on the cards from time to time.  Many of these illustrations are quite surprisingly modern and some vary a LOT from the standard RWS deck.

I look forward to getting this Lo Scarabeo version.  If it's not fake, and if it's anything like all the other Lo Scarabeo decks I own, the card stock will be excellent to use.   I really want to use this deck!  So fingers crossed ...should be here by the middle of next week.

@Chariot That will be interesting to find out what you think about this deck and how it will work for you.

I´m still struggling with mine, but it´s better now when I don´t care about what the LWB says.

The postman brought me a Tarocchi Soprafini - not the Soprafino that most people know, but a deck from the Hermitage museum (Moscow) collection. It is an official replica of a deck by Fratelli Armanino from 1900 sold at the museum shop, really well made, with a beautiful box and information about history of the deck. The stock is beautiful, and it's a smaller size. Sorry about quality of my photo, it was a bit dark. Frankly I bought it out of curiosity and maybe in order to swap it for something, as presently I am not comfortable with this style. In any case, a very interesting deck, especially as I have seen so few. I think they added numbers recently, they look a bit off to me.

I am in WILD anticipation of ARCANA 78, envisioned by Christ Butler, and to be released at this year's London Tarot Conference

Deck arrived, and YES, it is excellent card stock and in really good shape.  Yay!

Due to the most amazing twist of events, I am expecting three playing card decks from Stockholm17 as a gift from the designer, Lorenzo Gaggiotti. I am thrilled and very happy, I would hardly be able to afford buying them. Let me show you.

The House of Rising Spade - Cartomancer - Version 3

House of the Rising Spade - Gilded Cartomancer

Same deck, limited issue for patrons (Red Patronium):

House of the Rising Spade - Red Patronium

And Cyclopeans Cyrconium:

Cyclopeans Cyrconium

I have been wanting the Cartomancer deck for years and ordered it once only to have the post lose it in transit. The money wasn't lost but I didn't reorder. Now, it seems, I won't want for playing card decks for a while.

I don't know, but whatever it is, EVRI seem to have lost it. It started with Asendia, apparently (who are they ?) - and I don't even know where it's coming from - maybe a KS one, or maybe something else I forgot I ordered.

:classic_blink:

That one wasn't tarot at all. It was a book I had ordered from the US. But I NOW await (I THINK) a deck that was a preorder, whose seller had given me many dates, so many that my right to query with Paypal had expired (90 days. NOT enough !) and in the end stopped responding - so I went to my credit card people, who were horrified and gave me my money. Paypal sent me an angry letter saying it was too long ago for them to investigate (I have ALL the emails, which would make it easy for them) - but all of a sudden I have a package on the way to me from a country from which I haven't ordered anything else.... Now - do I give them the money if it actually shows up ?

Got it. I don't like it as much I expected, coming from Chris....

Thank you so much for mentioning this (which I now have.) I have owned her majors only Connessione for years and seeing this one I realised she had completed the 78 card deck - so now I await that. (Which means I am technically still on topic.) She was delighted to find I had the majors only.

@gregory my order was sadly cancelled due to tariff complications shipping to the States. I hope you enjoy yours. Post good pics.

Really great artist. Connessione reminds me a bit of Vertigo.

Did anyone see this one: https://www.usgamesinc.com/whimsical-witch-tarot-in-a-tin

I quite like it. Unfortunately the publication date has been postponed from 30 November to 30 December. I love the playfullness, the colours and the size, the tin too. If it will be available in Europe, then I'll get this one.

Edit: Should have added the name: Whimsical Witch Tarot.
