November Posted May 5, 2023 Posted May 5, 2023 HI everyone, this morning I've had a breast scan and fortunately everything is allright (just benign cysts). As I was quite worried about the result, yesterday I did a reading and got Strength in outcome position, but I couldn't interpret it.. It looked favorable to me, but I can't say why. Maybe the meaning was that my body after all is strong? Or perhaps it meant I should always have checkups which indeed was also what the doctor said.. I still don't know what the card was referring to.. What do you think? Thanks a lot.
DanielJUK Posted May 5, 2023 Posted May 5, 2023 I don't want to link it to your situation personally and of course I cannot in this section. Although, many congrats on your good health news outcome 🤗 How you interpret Strength for health really depends on how you ask about it. The obvious meaning is about how to handle a health situation or decision, as "advice". That would be about being courageous, strong and compassionate. It's dipping into your inner strength and resilience as a way of dealing with it. In this reading type though, this is about the outcome of the health. I think this shows someone's health is strong and with good vitality. I think it is favourable, it's having faith and trust of a good outcome. It is positive as an outcome. It would either be negative to tests and scans for conditions or if something is shown, there is a rapid and easy recovery! It's also worth looking at the card image of Strength, I am just using RWS as an example and most cards show the woman and the Lion in some form. She is taming this wild beast. I think the beast is the health problem and she is on top of it by being confident, gentle and compassionate. The lion sticks it's tongue out in submission and so she is in control of it, this can be taken to health. Getting on top of the situation by taming the problem, being patient and calm and see what comes out. So it's a positive outcome because your health has strong vitality but if there is any negative news, there will be an easy and quick recovery. Really it's saying, you got this!
November Posted May 5, 2023 Author Posted May 5, 2023 Hi @DanielJUK, thank you for sharing your thougths here! Yes, this was an outcome position, so I didn't interpret it as advice. I agree with your analysis anyway, my body is strong and healthy, so like the lady here, no need to be worried, everything is allright.
Yola Posted May 6, 2023 Posted May 6, 2023 Thank you for sharing this situation with us, @November 🙏 I agree with @DanielJUK. For me, the result of strength comes against the concepts of good health, vitality, disposition, energy, vigor, strengthening (physical, psychic, emotional, spiritual) and recovery. I wish everything works out in the best way!
November Posted May 6, 2023 Author Posted May 6, 2023 Thank you @Yola, yes, I can see how all these keywords you mentioned can make sense with the Strength card.
Grandma Posted May 6, 2023 Posted May 6, 2023 (edited) I don't think one card in an otherwise unknown spread can be interpreted in more than an arbitrary way. Of course the the Individual Card Meanings section is all about collecting a variety of possible meanings. Such knowledge is invaluable to readers and informs future readings but does not answer specific questions. In this case it's no more than a guess, in my opinion. As to what this card means in your spread, reading for your question, depends on the spread and the question, and as in any reading, on the deck you used. For example, what the Strength card means as the outcome in a question about a breast scan could be anything from nothing to worry about, your body is strong, to you have stage four malignant breast cancer which is stronger than your body. I would think that it means the first in this case. Obviously it does not mean the second because your scan showed only benign cysts. And what wonderful news that is! If you decide to share the spread - question, positions, deck and all - in the Personal Tarot Readings section I think you will gather more insight as to what Strength means as the Outcome in the reading you did. November Posted May 7, 2023 Author Posted May 7, 2023 Thank your for your comment @Grandma. Yes, surely posting the whole reading would be better, so I think I'll do that.
Juperko Posted May 30, 2023 Posted May 30, 2023 First of all, I'm glad to hear that your breast scan results were favorable and that everything is alright. It's understandable to feel worried before receiving medical test results, and it's great that you sought comfort and guidance through a tarot reading. In the context of your reading, the Strength card in the outcome position can have multiple interpretations. Here are a couple of possible explanations: Inner strength and resilience: The Strength card often represents courage, resilience, and inner power. In the context of your health concerns, it could suggest that you possess the inner strength to face and overcome challenges related to your well-being. It may be an indication that your body has the ability to heal and maintain its strength. Advocating for your health: Another interpretation could be that the Strength card is encouraging you to take charge of your health and make sure you prioritize regular checkups and screenings. It's possible that the card is reminding you of the importance of staying proactive and advocating for your well-being. Ultimately, the meaning of the Strength card in your reading is subjective and influenced by your own intuition and personal circumstances. Trust your instincts and reflect on what resonates with you the most. It's also worth considering the overall energy and context of the reading, as well as any other cards that were drawn alongside Strength, as they may provide additional insights.
November Posted May 30, 2023 Author Posted May 30, 2023 (edited) @Juperko thank you so much for your analysis here. I think both your suggestions make sense with this card, but probably the second one is more appropriate to my situation. Edited May 30, 2023 by November
the.Hydra Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 I think it could also stand for a chronic condition that can be managed as the woman in the card has a symbiotic relationship with/control over (depends) the lion, with the bit of advice built into the card of not letting yourself get frazzled and taking the necessary steps/precautions for a favorable outcome. It's hard to see clearly when you're freaking out, even harder to make good decisions. As a quick read, "Keep your emotions in check, you'll know if it's time to get emotional." And yea the traditional interpretations of strength apply so you could definitely see that as health.

Your interpretation makes sense to me, benign cysts are actually a chronic condition, so the only thing I can do is to have them checked regularly. Also the concept of control adds up, checking emotions too 😅
