That just sounds like everyday making a choice to me.

I never thought of that, but it makes sense, now more then ever.
Usually we view that its formating that happens once one knows/experiences enough, so its merging of light/understanding, after that they can't really go back to previous ones unless to clear up some understanding here or there... People used to die between them as they couldn't handle the change in the formating from Earth before...
But I think for now, you are right, now it may be more related to choice instead.
