fire cat pickles Posted July 1, 2024 Author Posted July 1, 2024 Another week with the Brady 😀 I will have some time this week to devote to it (finally!)
Bodhiseed Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 Thank you Fire cat! I'm in with the Tyldwick Tarot paired with the Antiquarian Lenormand this week. From the Tyldwick Tarot, the Two of Staves; from the Antiquarian Lenormand, Book: Learning is not attained by chance, it must be sought for with ardor and diligence. -Abigail Adams The Two of Staves is illustrated with two spikes of a red hot poker (aka torch lily). One inflorescence (cluster of flowers) is in full bloom while another is just beginning. When we are enjoying the fruits of our efforts, it is tempting to think that extra will bring something even better. But 'more' of one thing often affects other things, like less time for enjoyment because of additional work or added worries and concerns. The Lenormand Book suggests learning and study, a wise choice before we make a decision we might regret. On the other hand, it could be as Dr. Seuss suggests: "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."
Natural Mystic Guide Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 (edited) I'm here. I'm continue to enjoy immersing myself in study of the many different Goddesses that inhabit the Dark Goddess Tarot. Here's 'The Morrigan' for Major Arcana card 'Sovereignty'. This is the key word that I use in the Tarot Netivot system as well. Nice and non-gender specific. Misterei Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 @fire cat pickles count me in for Horeus Lenormand. Thanks!
Rachelcat Posted July 1, 2024 Posted July 1, 2024 Ooo, Tyldwick and Dark Goddess! Good decks to follow this week! And I should probably follow the Lenormands too because I need all the good examples of readings I can get! This week will be a repeat of Heckadeck Playing Cards because I recently finished the whole set of keywords for all 160 cards. Quick recap: it’s a deck of regular playing cards plus four additional suits, (what I have interpreted as) four additional court ranks, 0 and 11 pips cards, and some extra cards I’ll use as majors. The keyword list is attached. The extra suits are acorns, clouds, knives, and planets. The extra court ranks are beast, talisman, hunter, traveler, and arrow. The “majors” are four jokers, Whatever You Want, Darkness, Conjurer, Watcher, and Omnihedron. The listed court keywords are by Dario Nardi, creator of an expanded MBTI system, Decode Your Personality, Go Beyond Myers-Briggs With 64 Brain-Based Subtypes, October 2023. Maybe I’ll break out some larger spreads to use all of these cards this week. In the meantime, a new interview! What is your most important characteristic? Ace of Planets, Health It is good at health readings, and/or encouraging good health. What is your strength? 10 Spades, Education It is teaching me about making up my own keywords. Your weakness? 7 Planets, Pleasure Just because it’s fun doesn’t mean it’s workable. What can I learn from you? 10 Diamonds, Generosity I can learn how to give good readings. How can I learn it? 4 Clubs, Stillness I can read for others if still my mind and stay focused. What will be the outcome of our work together? King of Clouds, Mystical counselor Same: I will use my mastery (of my own system) to read for others. Well, didn’t expect that! We’ll see if any of this happens! fire cat pickles Posted July 1, 2024 Author Posted July 1, 2024 Welcome back @Natural Mystic Guide, @Misterei, and @Rachelcat!
Sace Posted July 2, 2024 Posted July 2, 2024 (edited) I’ll be using the Aquarian Tarot this week. I did a three card interview with the deck late last week. I’ll post it tomorrow. Edit 7/2/24: Here are the cards I pulled for my deck interview. The questions were: 1. Who are you? (Page of Cups) 2. Who am I? (The World) 3. What are you here to teach me? (Two of Rods) (I’m pretty sure I found these questions from someone else on the forum but I can’t remember who at the moment. ) I haven’t really made much effort to read these beyond looking up the basic meanings. I haven’t even studied the images (shame on me). Edited July 2, 2024 by Sace
Guest Posted July 2, 2024 Posted July 2, 2024 I'm in again this week, this time with the Samurai Tarot. 🏯 👹 ⚔️ 🥷🏻 ⛩️
fire cat pickles Posted July 2, 2024 Author Posted July 2, 2024 Welcome back @Akhilleus! Interesting deck 🙂 and great turnout this week... I'm switching to the Heretic Tarot after all. Turn of events because of another dream I've had...
Misterei Posted July 2, 2024 Posted July 2, 2024 Up this week is my NEW Horeus Lenormand from Etsy / France. 6x6 GT I got the French version but it's also in English. I purchased both the regular size and mini. I fell in love with the deck for being whimsical but not too unbearably cutesy. Shipping to USA cost a bomb, so I considered the purchase a long time before deciding I might as well get both sizes if I was going to pay so much shipping. This deck has a unified palette which I like. Cards are clearly numbered and named. No playing card insets is the only downside. Nice matte finish. My only minor complaint is making Rider female. Since Child also is female I feel it unbalances the deck. I personally like Rider as an alternate for a young male and Child as an alternate for a young female. This GT is laid atop playing cards as house markers which is a learning tool I use for GT. Full interpretation will be posted in my journal.
Misterei Posted July 3, 2024 Posted July 3, 2024 Daily with Horeus. The coffin is quite pretty yet still manages to get a skull in there to remind us that it's a malefic card. full reading is here
Guest Posted July 4, 2024 Posted July 4, 2024 Thanks @fire cat pickles! And yup, it's one delightful deck. I posted the first of my draws this week here: Apologies for the delay.
Penthasilia Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 Another week with the Visconti as the holiday week was busy beyond expectations. Using his Noblet as well. Working with a couple different reading styles to see which one resonates- tirage en croix vs line of 5.

I was away for a few days, lingering and not paying much attention due to work and the holiday here. Hope to see you at the next week's group!
