Hello!

I'm Callie from Georgia! I am 35.

I've been a member since 2022 and I'm finally posting. I started going through a spiritual awakening in 2020 and many life challenges that followed. I'm hoping to start 2025 out on a good note and plant seeds with my spiritual path and I'm looking to reach out to others I've been reading my own Oracle and tarot for awhile now and would love some exchange tips and other ideas. I hope to grow into a successful business while helping others.

I'm not sure how this forum will work but hope to meet some new tarot and spiritual friends. [Mod edit: Email address removed]

Sincerely, Callie

Is that the Republic of Georgia, close to Armenia, with a lot of trade with Romania and all those pop bands in the Eurovision Song Contest, or is it the State of Georgia somewhere in the south of the United States of America?

Hey I'm in the United States of America currently. Would love to travel to Georgia though very interesting. Where are you located?

I'm a Swede (not Swiss). Thank you very much for undoing any linguistic confusion. The same thing happens, when we read about the history of Galicia (Spain) and Galicia (Poland and Ukraine).

I suppose there are Swedish-Americans in Wisconsin, Minnesota and the State of Washington? Two of my grandfather's elder brothers emigrated to Seattle c. 1900. The two sides of the family lost contact when I was a toddler, so I don't know anything about that branch of the family.

Hi there, and welcome!  I used to live in Atlanta, back in the 1990's and early 2000's.  Do you live anywhere close to it, or in it?  I love Atlanta 😊

I'm honored to learn about your family history. As for myself I didn't get to know my grandparents not really sure about my lineage to be honest although I have done the ancestry research I didn't get to far except learning my great grandparents were I. The north on my paternal side I didn't get to meet them. I think it's one of those reasons I've been working on learning myself more. Very interesting topic!

I didn't meet my maternal grandfather either. He died when I was a toddler, and I have no memories of him. I'm a Generation X and he was born in the early 1890s.

National registration became mandatory in 1686 here, so most commoners like me are able to find at least one or a few ancestors from the 1690s, and it becomes easier the younger the parish registries are. Genealogy is easier for the nobility, of course.
