Rachelcat Posted March 3, 2025 Posted March 3, 2025 Hi @fire cat pickles and everyone! I'm back, going from abstract concepts to abstract art. This week will be Dream Dust Shamanic Tarot, an abstract art deck. I’m not sure why I decided I needed another “swirly” abstract tarot (as opposed to my first love, geometrical abstract) since I already have Tarot of Colour. I got a little crazy with collection holes looking for an abstract oracle, but this deck popped up. I still haven’t found an abstract oracle I like. The closest are Cilla Conway’s decks, but they’re not exactly what I’m looking for. I think they’re too representational, like the Margarete Petersen Tarot. I put Secret World of Crystals Journey Cards on my list as an abstract oracle. It’s close-up photos of the interior of crystals, but the effect is quite abstract. And it works well for scrying on training wheels. Back to tarot! These are large cards with meanings on the bottom. Suits are fire, sea, wind, and earth. Aces are star; courts are sprite, horse, goddess, and shaman. Let’s see what I can do with them. Wash, shuffle, interview! I really did shuffle, so I’m sticking with these cards. What is your most important characteristic? The Lovers The deck about bringing art and tarot together. What is your strength? The Chariot It’s taking both art and tarot forward. Your weakness? The Sun It can be too glib sometimes. The sun is the sun and it’s yellow. Yawn. What can I learn from you? Fire Star (Ace of Wands) I can learn how to take new action. I like the teal with the red. How can I learn it? Two of Fire Two teal stripes. I have to put energy into it as well as get a jolt of energy from it. What will be the outcome of our work together? Three of Earth Together we can manifest something real and beautiful. Ok, we’ll see about that! It’s going to be a pain to ignore/avoid the text on the cards, but I’m trying!
Christina Posted March 3, 2025 Posted March 3, 2025 I'm in again with my Mind's Eye Tarot and Blessed Be cards 🙂
Bodhiseed Posted March 3, 2025 Posted March 3, 2025 Thank you Fire cat for the new thread. I'm in with the Wayfarer Tarot paired with the Curious Oracle. People first concern themselves with meeting their basic needs; only afterwards, do they pursue any higher needs. —Abdolkarim Soroush The practical Queen of Earth knows that no large project will be finished, and no family or community will be stable until bodies have the basics of food, rest, shelter and clothing. Taking time for daily needs is not a luxury but a requirement. Lotus Energy represents the fuel and resources needed for the seed to embed its roots in the mud, climb its way above the water, and then flower in the sun. No matter how we want to bloom, we must first take care of the bodily conveyance that will get us there.
Natural Mystic Guide Posted March 3, 2025 Posted March 3, 2025 I am so delighted to finally have my own Greenwood Tarot. I love the cards. I am making my way through the book right now.
