Bodhiseed Posted March 31, 2025 Posted March 31, 2025 Thanks Fire cat! I'm in this week with the Victorian Fairy Tarot paired with the Haindl Rune Oracle. Whatever it is you're seeking won't come in the form you're expecting. ―Haruki Marukami When we're down at the bottom, we look upwards, dreaming of how good things could be one day. But when life does change for the better, it rarely looks as perfect as we imagined it. And the smug fairy on top might do well to remember the words of William Watson: "all things move with all things from their prime." Life constantly shifts and changes, and while some phases may be more pleasant than others, none of them are always ideal. Ingwaz is connected to incubation and harvest. No matter where we are on the Wheel, what we plant will grow and affect other phases later on. Rather than dream or worry about what comes next, we'd be smart to focus on what we are doing now.
Christina Posted March 31, 2025 Posted March 31, 2025 I'm in with the Tarot of Mystical Moments and Oracle 1) King of Cups- stability, care, calmness 2) My Home is my Castle- Experience of Life, knowledge, Age, and Growth
Rachelcat Posted March 31, 2025 Posted March 31, 2025 Hi, all! Good to be back! This week will be a minchiate party with two Lo Scarabeo Anima Antiqua minkies from Florence, Minchiate Etruria, Firenze 1806-1807 and Minchiate Fiorentine, Firenze 1860 CA. The earlier one is more detailed and refined; the later one looks like it was very closely redrawn. It has the signature centaur knights, and the decorations on the minors are the same, including the poor elephant on 4 Coins and the disco ball and cat on 6 Swords. The aces and cups are different, and the coins are all different faces. I think for the week, I’ll shuffle and deal the 1806 and match it with the 1860. But first separate interviews. Minchiate Etruria, Firenze 1806-1807 What is your most important characteristic? Queen of Cups Didn’t expect that. The deck is very intuitive and friendly. What is your strength? 6 Coins It’s a good physical specimen of a must-have deck. Your weakness? 4 Batons But you have to put energy into it to read it. It’s not going to give up its secrets easily. What can I learn from you? 7 Coins I’ll learn to enjoy physical things, and not think that’s a bad thing. How can I learn it? 2 Swords By deciding to. What will be the outcome of our work together? Water Wow, more water to go with the Queen of Cups. I will enjoy it and will indeed be able to read it intuitively. Minchiate Fiorentine, Firenze 1860 CA. What is your most important characteristic? 7 Swords The deck is manipulative and won’t give a straight answer. OR it’s all about enjoying figuring things out. Instead of giving a straight answer! What is your strength? 10 Batons It IS strong, but that makes it a lot to deal with. Your weakness? Ace of Coins It’s really just another thing for me to own. What can I learn from you? Western Emperor I can learn about power dynamics: Who is in control of whom. How can I learn it? 2 Coins Follow the money as it comes in and goes out. And gender dynamics too. What will be the outcome of our work together? King of Swords It will help me understand things but in a top-down way. This is the way things are. Get used to it. I don’t know what’s up with my pretty idiosyncratic readings today, but I’ll stick with them.
fire cat pickles Posted March 31, 2025 Author Posted March 31, 2025 Welcome back @Christina and @Rachelcat 🙂
Natural Mystic Guide Posted April 1, 2025 Posted April 1, 2025 I am continuing to hang out with The Greenwood Tarot by Mark Ryan & Chesca Potter. One of the interesting things about this deck is the Wheel of the Year. I'm familiar with several different Wheels of the Year as far as Tarot goes. This is yet another -- different than the others. Living at the Equator, technically in the southern hemisphere makes all of these wheels topsy turvy and not super relevant.
