Bodhiseed Posted September 15, 2025 Posted September 15, 2025 (edited) I'm in with the Norse Tarot paired with the Wolf Pack this week. Thank you, Fire cat! 💓 There are no menial jobs, only menial attitudes. –William J. Brennan, Jr. Barrett describes this fellow as a merchant who doesn't mind getting away from the sales counter and doing work that isn't quite as prestigious. When did hard work become something we thumbed our noses at rather than what we were proud of? Just because we can afford to pay someone to do a job that we could do ourselves doesn't make it lowly or inferior. Reunion, while usually referring to two separate people, might refer to two parts of ourselves. Remember as young children when we were proud to accomplish simple tasks on our own? Yet even when we're older, there are reasons to appreciate such work. As Tad Williams wrote: "One should treasure those hum-drum tasks that keep the body occupied but leave the mind and heart unfettered." Edited September 15, 2025 by Bodhiseed
Rachelcat Posted September 15, 2025 Posted September 15, 2025 Hi, @fire cat pickles and @Bodhiseed! This week for me will be Retroracle, an extended lenormand by Malpertius, creator of the Tyldwick Tarot. It’s a lenormand expanded to a full 52-card deck with titles in Polish and English and art in the style of vintage Eastern European posters. We’ll see what I can do with it. I guess a regular interview now, and then I’ll try to do more lenormand-y things with it this week. What is your most important characteristic? Key The deck is a true oracle that will open doors of understanding for me. What is your strength? Ape The deck is good at imitating human life. Your weakness? Mushroom But sometimes it keeps me in the dark and feeds me excrement! What can you teach me? Woman It can teach me to be the hero of my own story. How can I learn it? Lilies By tapping into the dichotomies of life, especially innocence and sexuality and the continuum of feminine and masculine. What will be the outcome of our work together? Needle We will be able to stitch it all together to make it all make sense. Sounds good to me!
fire cat pickles Posted September 15, 2025 Author Posted September 15, 2025 Welcome back @Bodhiseed and @Rachelcat!
Libra 58 Posted September 15, 2025 Posted September 15, 2025 I´m back and also my struggling with Tarot of the 78 doors continue. Monday card: 9 of Wands. A man is struggling hard to carry a door on his back, maybe it´s the door to the house that I can see in the background. Outside the house is a woman and a child boy standing watching the man arrive. I see the struggle that I have done, the door is on the back and behind the man and so behind is the struggle for Monday over for me. It was a very hard struggle for me and I´m so happy it´s over for this time. Now I can rest and recover till next time. Tuesday card: 4 of Coins. A tall woman is standing outside a very smal door. There is no way she can come in. I´m to curious for my own good and others are trying to keep me away. Or I´m thinking to much on other people, instead of taking care of my own business.
Libra 58 Posted September 17, 2025 Posted September 17, 2025 (edited) Wednesday card: Ace of Chalices. A new born baby is baptised in a church. A priest holds the baby and are pouring water on it´s forehead. Both parents are supporting the child. The man is also supporting the priests hand that is holding the baby. Something new in my mind is on the way. Maybe I also will get some support on this new thing? It´s a strong support of three people. Thursday card: Page of Chalices. A man is out in a dessert surroundings looking to find water with a divining-rod. The way he´s holding the rod, I will say that he has found the water vein, he looks a bit smug. I shall be careful with my gifts and don´t "show" to much. I can and I will share the water, but maybe I shall not show where I found it? But the water is a gift to us all, so it´s best to protect it so it stays clean and is shared alike for all of us. Edited September 17, 2025 by Libra 58
Libra 58 Posted September 19, 2025 Posted September 19, 2025 Friday card: Ace of Wands. A munk stands in front of a huge door that´s look like it´s a bank vault. He has his hands risen so it looks like he is either praying or chanting to the door to open up! I see a desperate man that really wants to enter the door. I think that I really need to start on something new to work with so that I can move forward. I have to get more time to work with what I really like to do, instead of spending time on things that make me sad or stressed.
Libra 58 Posted September 21, 2025 Posted September 21, 2025 Saturday card: King of Pentacles. The King stands looking in to a small hidden safe-deposit vault full of gold coins, pearls and other jewels. He looks content and calm. That is probably what I shall do. Be happy with what I have and don´t want so much more. Sunday card: Death. An old man is sitting on a grave plate with flowers in one hand and a hour-glass in the other hand. Time and life is running out for him and he knows it. Maybe he is waiting for the long sleep, longing to see the ones he has lost. Time for me to start thinking about the future and what I want to do with the time I have left. There are things that I want and need to do and end. There are so many other things that I would like to try out before it´s to late.
