Some use one deck, others use two or more. Some combine methods: Tarot, non-tarot (e.g. oracle), playing cards, or any other divinatory method is welcome. All we ask is that you use at least one tarot or oracle deck. No collection is too large or too small. The only rules we have are the Tarot, Tea & Me Rules; Be respectful of one other. Please join us! Please post with your choice of deck(s) for the week Chat away about your deck, how you're finding it (or not), etc., it's all up to you Participants may either choose to share their readings here in this discussion thread or opt to have their own journal in the Journals Forum and link it here Yet others may even have an offline journal in paper & pencil/pen form Share as often, as much, or as little as you like. I decided I’m going to use this one to read at my firm’s Halloween happy hour. So time to practice with it. I hve a few decks (of course!) to choose from, but I think people will enjoy the pop culture costumes in the deck. Let’s interview! What is your most important characteristic? Seven of wands It’s a good deck to share my love of and defend tarot. What is your strength? Two of cups It’s good for relationship readings, or emotional readings in general. And the positive and negative of those. They’re sharing poison, just like in the play. (Am I the only one who thinks this looks like Riker and Deanna?) Your weakness? XI Justice It’s not good for political or current events readings. Or readings with a morality angle. Is Lady Liberty resisting or cooperating with the Monopoly plutocrat? What can you teach me? XVII The star This is a deck of happiness and self-expression and enjoyment. How can I learn it? Four of swords I can learn about that by staying calm and observing all the details. What will be the outcome of our work together? Ten of swords It will be fun while it lasts, but when Halloween is over, it will be over. Ok, well, we’ll see about that!

Mi-Shell Posted Monday at 10:17 PM Posted Monday at 10:17 PM Hi there, fire cat and Rachelcat! back home and in my hands for this week is an old Sibylla deck I got as a gift, No idea, how to properly read with it, just giving it a try: I am First card draw: Card 41 -9 of Hearts = Surprise Well the 9 of Hearts is to me personally is a quite positive card But the image shows a young lady standing in front of a pedestal with a bird cage. The cage door is open = the Bird had flown the confinement the lady is surprised and a bit upset. I personally feel, a Bird escaping his cage is a good thing. Freedom - even a dangerous one, is better than a golden prison. Even when now the Bird will have to find his own food and safety. The lady however lost something/ someone she thought she had all safe and "wrapped up" A lover maybe? My lover just got home so I am OK in that regard. But after 3 month on the road and away from home there are a few things, that got away from me and I may even not jet have discovered all of them.... 41 = 4+1=5 a bit of a volatile number = I better get ready for a few unpleasant surprises....

But above all, we need to prioritize, doing what is most important, what other things hinge on, first. Other tasks that don't really need our oversight can be delegated (let's forget the "but I'm the only one that can do it right" for now). The goal is to get things done while maintaining our sanity and sense of humor. Hexagram 1 has been given several names: the Dynamic, the Receptive and the Creative. Things are constantly in motion and changing, and we would do best to accept things instead of battle them; instead, we focus on creative solutions.
