Grandma Posted August 28, 2018 Posted August 28, 2018 Oh my God (or as the younger generation says, OMG) I CAN"T STOP!!!! I just discovered this thread a few minutes ago. Songs from my youth are flooding my memories, and Tarot associations are bouncing in after them. One more for now, then I need to go back to listen to everyone else's! The Five of Pentacles, House of the Rising Sun by Eric Burden and the Animals.

Grizabella Posted October 20, 2018 Posted October 20, 2018 So do we draw a card and think of a song that goes with it? OK I drew from the Halloween deck and got 3 of Bats (3 of Swords) Heartbreak Hotel. How about that one? I first thought of "Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head" but I can't remember the words to that one off the top of my head.
Grandma Posted October 20, 2018 Posted October 20, 2018 Grizabella - I remember lying in bed, seven years old, crying, as Elvis on the radio sang Heartbreak Hotel. (I know from some of your posts that we are almost the same age. I wonder how many others remember when this song came out?)

Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head is pretty lighthearted and carefree, more along the lines of Singing in the Rain. I Can't Stand the Rain by Tina Turner is a more Three of Swords kind of rainy.
Grizabella Posted October 21, 2018 Posted October 21, 2018 For the 10 of Cups how about "At Last" by Etta James? l We probably are close to the same age, Grandma. I'll be 73 on November 26th. How old are you?
Grizabella Posted October 21, 2018 Posted October 21, 2018 I just read an old post and Grandma says she's 70 as of her last birthday, but I didn't think to look at the date on the post. We are pretty much the same age, then. I chose but maybe I should also post what deck I used. I used the Morgan Greer for the draw. It shows a man and woman clasping a goblet with a rainbow coming out of it and there are the usual 10 Cups in the background. The song that jumped to mind was that song, so I posted it. Click the bold song title to go to the Youtube of the song. I didn't know I was supposed to put the link into this post. I got all sniffle-y when Mr. and Mrs. Obama danced to that song when he was first elected and they said that was "their" song. Silly me, huh? lol
Grandma Posted October 22, 2018 Posted October 22, 2018 For the 10 of Cups how about "At Last" by Etta James? l We probably are close to the same age, Grandma. I'll be 73 on November 26th. How old are you? I'm still 70 - I won't be 71 until March 11. When you were about to turn three and I wasn't going to have my first birthday for three and a half more months that was a big age difference. Now, no appreciable difference at all!
