Hello!

 

I sent my files to the printer this week for what should be the final prototype. I thought I'd share a sneak peek of some of the cards with the new back. I've also reworked several cards but for the most part, the deck is now finished.

 

I'll post some of the actual cards when I receive the deck. For those of you who left me their email address, I'll definitely keep in touch! You can also follow me on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/tobi_barescat/) where some of the cards have already been posted :D

Hello Starlight, yes I still plan to have a small run printed. I've started to work on a LWB to give a bit of insight on the Art works and symbolism that have been used. It will be offered as a PDF but I'm working on the possibility for people to get it printed through websites like Lulu.

Hello, hello!

Thought I'd drop a quick update. I finally reworked the back of the card as my lions seemed out of proportion on the design. I also changed the background, reduced the size of the lions' heads and then something interesting happened!

Where the handles meet, I noticed it formed the shape of an eye. Then one of my favourite followers on Instagram spotted another detail: The 8/infinite shape formed by the handles, the same handles looking like two ouroboros (I may do something about this actually). This was not intended so I can only assume I did this unconsciously. It happens to me quite often when I'm completely absorbed into something.

The cards I've reworked so far for the 3rd prototype and after:

- The Ace of Wands (from scratch)

- The Ace of Cups

- The 7 of cups

- The 8 of Swords (from scratch)

- The 9 of Coins

- The Empress (from scratch, still in progress)

I've also decided to give a try having my deck printed in Europe for several reasons (costs/security/lead times...) and worked out something so you my lovely potential customers wherever you are on this planet will not be hammered with outrageous shipping fees and customs 😂 

I've had some good response on my very young Instagram account and this is very encouraging. So here's a few cards from the last batch, enjoy 😉

It's been a long long time I haven't posted here! 2019 was a difficult year (my mum was hospitalized several times that year, it was pretty tough). In july 2020, I decided to completely redo the deck to make it full bleed and new ideas emerged (for the best I hope!). When I was finally ready with the deck, the COVID struck. I hope everyone has been ok so far! Here are a few images from the latest version. I've slowly posting them on my Instagram account if you'd like to follow. You can find me here: @louise_barescat I'm on the last line to finish the guidebook too. Hopefully the deck will be available early next year 🙂

Hello Grandma! My mother has been recovering but it's been difficult with her age unfortunately. Thank you for your kind words 😊 The deck has been finished for a while with now, only minor alterations if a new idea crosses my mind.

 

My printer is fully booked til early 2022 and I'm still in the process to register my business to be able to sell my decks (there's also a petit Lenormand completed), so still a little while to wait.
