Oh, how cute! Sadly, not the one.

Ok, that was all that came to mind.

I wonder if she could get them to off-set the image so we only have to trim one side? 🤔  Only half joking. 🙂

Well trimming "Half" the card sounds better than both sides to me Judy. 🤔  Hope Lauren sees this!

The Madenie Tarot there seems to have the ghost images.

I have a copy from Yves that has them, but he's cleaned them up since and no longer offers that version. So if anyone is interested in a copy with the ghost images intact, this is the place to go.

Thanks @fire cat pickles for the heads-up on the sale!

My favorite lenormand is the Schneider & Co Lenormand c.1918 from this site. I love the Edwardian costumes, etc.  I also have the Lo Scarabeo Lenormand Oracle, which is this deck on large cards without the inserts, which gives it a very, shall we say, airy look!  (lots of sky . . !)

Other favorites from the Cartomancer site:   Dutch Lenormand c. 1868, just because I love black and red, and the Game of Hope, of course.  I used to use the Piatnik Lenormand (published by Piatnik) a lot.  (But now I really don't use any lenormands a lot!  Shh.)

Ok, I'm off to do some serious historical tarot shopping right now on the Cartomancer!  And maybe some lenormands too!

I had a lot of fun reading through this thread today--was looking for any mention of the Green Glyphs deck, which I'm currently taken with 👀 but do not need.  How is it treating you, @joy?

Through joy's posts I also discovered the Scrying Ink Lenormand.  I had never known of it before, even though I have a couple of Siolo Thompson's other decks.  It's nice, but when I saw that Non-Binary card I was like

King Of The Hill No GIF

Why would any non-binary person want their significator to be a deer when the gender binary cards are represented by humans??

I love deer (lol) and, as a disclaimer, am a cis woman.  Still felt like a weird misstep.

Honestly have not yet started to use it. I am doing it according to the books and just a very traditional deck to learn with before I use anything else 😆

My edition is very old it does not have any non-binary cards but I agree who wants to be assigned with a deer? I like the art work but I am not sure if I will ever read with it. Maybe I would not have bought it, someone gifted it to me 🙃

What a lovely gift!  And it does seem to be OOP from what I can tell so there is that!

I hope you enjoy the Green Glyphs sometime 🍀

From an art point of view it is lovely. Yes I will look into the Green Glyphs, I know already which cards are a bit off, but I do like the art work. So once I finished the basic studies I will give it a go.

I use the Gilded Reverie a lot for personal readings, but I find that the images are too detailed to be helpful in a GT and I don't like using it to read for others. I started using the Green Glyphs for my GT spreads and I like it's simple imagery and color coding for that purpose a lot.

Yes I was really fond of the Gilded R when I was dabbling in Lenormand, then it just fell from grace for me.  A bit too much. I prefer the simpler packs, more muted in color.

I think you may like the Green Glyphs then, though it may run into the opposite problem into being too simple.

Revisiting this as I would like to add which LENORMAND only decks of yours you will likely be using for Fall/Samhain or which you are looking at.  I really enjoy the decks I have, please feel free to check out my small collection, but thought of adding one for my fav time of the year.  So please, any FALL/ Samhain Lenormands speaking to you now?  I ask re Lenormands as those are what I read most for others.

LOVED all your posts so far, just looking to make it a little more seasonal for a bit!   I need ideas and if you're looking for any, perhaps something in my little collection will talk to you.

THANKS for suggestions!

Do not have a deck I will particularily use for the Fall/Samhain. But if I would have to choose, I think I would go with the Green Glyph. But my collection is small and I am not planning on adding more decks. Wish I had bought the Shadowland when it was still available in the small card size. Still thinking to maybe give in and buy the big cards.

I admit I am content with the Lenormands I have too, Joy.  IF I saw something that really intrigued me, maybe, but with the collection I have, pretty much covers the bases.  7Stars Samhain is always fun to pull out, as is the Anna. K Lenormand, because like her tarot, it seems Fallesque 🙂  The Mysteries of the Old Castle and  the Petite Lenormand Noir by Chronata are also great for the coming months.

GR was my first LeNormand and I will always love it. But I totally understand why you say it would be "a bit much" for a GT.

OTOH ... I'm a LeNormand novice and stick to small spreads. I can't yet do a GT.

As a beginner/intermediate I like that Ciro Marchetti's style feels familiar and inviting to me.

The whole idea of seasonal decks is a new concept to me. I'm mostly fluid and pick a deck according to mood or topic.

That being said, I have 7 LeNormands which is quite enough for an novice LN reader. (I have 10x as many tarots b/c I'm pro reader)

I have 2 German decks ... one of which I'm pretty sure is Blue Owl ... but I can't read German. They're my classic originals when I want something "old school"

As far as an autumn deck, Daniloff's Elada is all in terra-cotta colors, so the color scheme is right. It's based on anceint Greek pottery designs ... which doesnt exactly evoke Halloween, tho 😉

I haven't read LeNormand lately at all. I've been so focused on Tarot ... LN is more work. I must study references to read it ... I'm lazy!

Misterei, I agree which deck is often a what feels right at the moment or for the reading.  I DO love Fall and Samhain, one of my FAV days of the year.  So sometimes I choose decks like I would clothes for the season, like a warm sweater and a hot drink 🙂 or wearing black and having some bubbly 🙂  Funny we're kind of reversed.  I love Tarot, but read only for myself or a few people close to me, Lenormand for everyone else.

I'm discovering I like reading with Daniloff LeNormand. It's small which lends itself to tableaux. It has the card names written, and it shows the playing card emblem. I find I like its classic Renaissance feeling. Yes, I know LN comes from the 1800s ... but so many of my Tarots are old skool Tarocchis ... it fits my collection.

I tried the Pixies LN hoping it would match my RWS tarots ... but that deck was AWFUL. It felt like Frankenstein's monster all pieced together from bits and pieces. **shudder** I donated it.

Had to look it up, never seen it in action. I do like small cards when reading Lenormand.

I am always very confused when I see these cards. They really look too much like a Tarot deck....

Wishlist:  Purple Dragon Mini LN. I don't have a mini deck and I could use one for my planned foray into learning GT.

BUT I have a 1-in-1-out rule. Which deck to dump?

Under the Roses? This deck BUGS me. I love that it has Black options for the Man, Woman, Child cards. Yay diversity.

But then they ruin it with the Snake card which gives a stereotypical "Gypsy" woman as the snake. WTF?

Why not just give us a snake? Why perpetuate racist image of Romany woman as a snake when you're trying so hard for racial inclusion?

I'm thinking this may be my 1-out so I can get the mini-deck.

Ever since the first time I set my eyes on it, I've always wanted the Golden Venetian Lenormand. I know it's too busy so it would probably be quite a handful when it comes to actual readings, but aesthetically it's my favorite Lenny. I don't care much about its sister Tarot deck though.

This is the 1st "modern" deck that has captured my attention -- nay, my heart. I want one and have no idea what it's called nor where to find it. Anyone?

r/Lenormand - romantic interest’s feelings for me, trying to make sense of a ghosting situation.
