As long as I can keep from messing them up - I am not used to working carefully with my hands, and usually blend with my fingers because I love getting touchy-feely with my art, haha. Very tricky to keep things neat with charcoal, as you know! Here's a sneak peek at my World card - about 70% finished - I still need to go in and deepen the darks in the background and define around the figure. The figure's a deliberate reference back to my Fool card, hopefully pointing to the endless cycle of the fabulous Journey... Oh, I like this one a lot. The movement is wonderful.

Too many distractions! BUT, just in time for Valentine's Day, I decided to draw the Queen to my King of Pentacles today. Here she is along with her guy.

I've had an idea in my head for this one for a long time, but couldn't find a pose that worked from my own life drawings. So I broke down and purchased a pose, hoping it would work with the format. I wanted this card to signify that spiritual a-ha moment when you realize something bigger than yourself. Now I just have the Chariot to figure out and all my majors will be done.

I can't wait to see what you come up with for the chariot, and then to celebrate that your majors are done!! Its such a milestone to complete the majors, isn't it? Do you plan on printing yourself a majors only deck while you complete the rest of the cards? That is what I am planning to do, because I really want to have an actual, workable, deck in my hands. But I have a few more cards to complete before I am at that point. Funnily, I am also working on an idea for the Chariot! But I have to finish the card I am currently working on first.

I thought long and hard about this card, and made several attempts at a more traditional composition with a rider, chariot, and two beasts, but I liked the way this one started turning out for how relaxed and confident her pose was. In my mind, that's what the Chariot is all about: self-confidence. It asks us to look to our inner wisdom that comes from The Divine, and let go the need to control. Next up: I'm going to work on edits to three of my majors: Star, Moon, and Judgement. And then my Majors will be complete. I might order a set of them as @Raggydoll suggested. That's a good idea!

How amazing that you’re so close to having a major arcana set of your deck!! I love the line work on this one, her pose feels truly relaxed and confident. How do you handle the white/empty paper areas of your drawings? Do you clean those up digitally or do you print them in the shade they are in?
