Notifications in new software

Hey Everyone! I had a question about notifications. I turned on both "follow" options in settings. However, while it'll send me emails, it only will notify's me on the site if 1) I'm mentioned or 2) I'm quoted. Any ideas how to get notifications for whenever I post on a board instead of those two things?

I'm having the same problem. I can't seem to get the system to notify me when someone posts to a thread I'm following, only when they mention me or tag me.

I cannot find it right now but yesterday I found a setting menu for notifications which allows you to have either notifications and/ or emails depending on it was. I used it to turn off emails for all threads and just get notifications. I cannot find it again today. But you basically need that!

Ok so I just now got a Notification that DanielJUK commented here... Did someone change some settings somewhere? I haven't touched anything.

I wonder if it's only working for new posts I make and comments I make on newer threads.... it'll sort itself out eventually more than likely.

I did just make some changes.  I'm hoping you'll have more things to control in your profile in notifications.

I think I know what happened. Once I set notifications to "Someone comments on something I follow", etc. I started to get notifications on those threads, but it was only those threads I started following after I set this notification. The threads I followed prior to setting "Someone comments on something I follow" were not effected. 

I've gone back and un-followed and re-followed all my  threads to see if that fixes the issues. I'll report back here.

I think I figured it out, I selected both of the settings to notify me, then I had to scroll down and select everything else. See pictures. There's a ton of different settings. Lets see if this fixes it?

That's how I have mine set, too. It seems to be working.

I think that might have been the issue.

I know I had automatically followed quite a few threads before I went back and reset my notifications the way you posted in your screenshot, above, and I wasn't getting all my notifications.

l am completely lost,  have been playing with the forum, think l may have upset things.  l have lost the heading with my Avatar.  How do l get this back?

Go into your profile > edit profile > and it goes in Member Title.

I have looked and looked, and I don't see "Member Title" anywhere on my Edit Profile...

Ah. This may be an invision thing then. On the other one I'm on you can't have a member title till you hit x number of posts.

That makes sense. Although if it can be changed, it may be something to consider as a perk for being a Subscriber 😉

It must be customisable in some way - as over there you have to have 2000 posts to get one.

Not only has my Avatar gone from my heading but so has the globe. Its a great site but l wish it was as easy as the original

It';s not so bad - it just takes some getting used to - my other invision forum upgraded recently and we all swore about it for DAYS, but now it's fine
