Your banner shows your avatar and the globe that was how mine was. l am no techie so l do not even know what a skin is!  My banner was fine at first so l have no idea why things disappeared.

@Thoughtful can  you take a picture of your profile page that you're taking about with your phone?  It will help if we can visualize what area you're talking about.  Maybe I can help you better.

It could be your your browser is not loading the page properly because I don't think you can turn off that top banner, unless maybe you changed the themes? but they all have a banner! Try closing your browser and reopening this site. If you still have problems, try refreshing the page. On Firefox and some browsers you can press Ctrl button + F5 at the same time and it will get a fresh new version which might also fix it xx

 

Thank you both for your replies much appreciated.  l have now switched on this morning and everything is as it was!  So Dan you were right,  having switched back on its behaving itself ❤️

All sorted now thanks and sighs huge sigh of relief!  Getting lots of emails now,  how do l stop those, must have pressed something in the settings by mistake.  l clearly cannot be trusted with all this techie stuff 

Skin - the theme you use. Which of the things up there do you call a globe ? (I am clearly THICK !)

Try a hard refresh - (ctrl and f5). Try clearing your  cache.

Oh - I see we are on a new page and you are sorted.  But which is the globe ?

Like Dan said having switched off for the night its now back to normal this morning. thank goodness.  The globe is between create and messages.  Its the notifications..  l wouldn't call you thick far from it that's my label 🙂

l think l have solved the issue with getting emails.  Am slowly getting used to all these new features, being an oldie the brain does not engage as quickly 

Glad it's all sorted for you Thoughtful, if in doubt close, wait a little while and open your browser again, it solves many display problems

Got it ! I never noticed it was a globe. (Damn it - even typing in the alleged "shortcut" to get this  doesn't work.... I HATE EMOJIS....)

l WILL do it eventually gregory, am in your age bracket but you are more on the ball when it comes to tech stuff.

PS my "tech ability" is more having been on another invision forum for AGES and also LOVING computers - not least as they are a godsend for the deaf (and having no life !!!)

I just don't touch or change anything LOL - I may be missing out on lots of wonderful gizmos, but it reduces my anxiety 🙂

I'm out today but will look at it this evening 

@fire cat pickleswe are both missing the About Me.  I think it has to do with those that had decks in their profiles.  When it transferred over, it usurped the About Me tab that other profiles have.  So @Little Fang when you look at it, it's in the number of tabs  you're allowing in the profiles I think.  Also, what theme are you using firecat?

I have the About Me though, and it's filled out. I'm using the Elegant theme. I'll try switching over to see if it's there.
