This Is The All-singing, All-dancing Tarot Enabling Thread!

Dreamkeepers is a GREAT deck, I honestly like it a lot more than Tarot of Mystical Moments which is similar in some ways but ultimately feels a little more empty than Dreamkeepers.

  • Cosmos Tarot and Oracle - nah. Imagery is too much like adverts. It could be used as margin illustrations in Cosmopolitan....

This is literally how I feel about it too. I gave this one to a friend who loves Astronomy; she'll probably use it for writing prompts or meditation.

Great, now DreamKeepers is on my "gotta have it" list.  🤨😅

Just head over to the de-enable thread and we’ll try to rectify that promptly 😁

I think I knew ahead of time that I couldn't be talked out of it because it's too-well liked by others.

I'm thinking of getting a couple of Oswald Wirth based decks, in addition to the Oswald Wirth with the Marseille-style minors I already have. The ones I'm thinking of getting:

Symbolic Tarot of Wirth

Universal Wirth

Enablers, please work your magic!

WELL - if I were to pick one of those, I'd go with the Symbolic (yes of course I have both.) I don't have them with me just now, but the Universal one bugs me a bit - it's fine, but as I'm a slight purist at times, the LOOK of the cards is - just not quite RIGHT for Wirth. Too jazzy and the fonts are wrong. Then again for variety it's a nice one to have.

Thank you! I had a similar feeling about the art of the Universal. It doesn't quite look right. But the symbolism of the images looks interesting...

Would someone be so kind to enable me regarding the Madhouse Tarot? I'm on the fence and asked for de-enabling too. Completely undecided.

Sure. Buy it.

Will that do ?

(I love Vinitski's stuff, and this is no exception.)

It's slightly freaky, a bit scary and very thought-provoking. You want it..... here's some help.

The kickstarter campaign had lots of lovely information about it.

But just buy it !

Phew!  Here I was getting ready to do a little tarot-baiting to get @gregory to gush based on what was said in that other place.  😂  Alas, I was too late to the party again.

I don't have it.  Yet.  But so far I adore the Emperor.

Buy it.  Hurry!

@gregory and @RunningWild

Aww, thank you very much, dear friends!

Yes, interesting, atmospheric, well drawn images. I can relate, that it is thought-provoking.

Before I looked here, I read in the de-enabling thread. And had already decided.

Sorry, but thanks a lot! 🤗

Go look at what I said afterwards .... !

Hi @gregory ! Nice!! I like it! I'll keep it in mind. I think there will be not so nice shipping costs and taxes? Same problem as most... But I really like it, hmm. Thinking about.

I've caught the bug....

Today I ordered two new decks from Amazon - the Robin Wood and the Gilded Tarot Royale. Should be with me on Monday 12th.

I spent time going through the decks listed A-Z on the aeclectic tarot site and noted down some that appealed.

Can't wait to get my hands on them....

I haven't bought Tarot in so long and my 78 animal pocket edition arrived and suddenly is was in the Tarot buying mood.

I was going to post here to get enabled in to buying the Cthulhu Dark Arts Tarot (I really love the Kings) when I read back and someone mentioned Dreamkeepers, and I remembered how I'd always wanted it. So now both are on the way to me along with the Anima Antiqua Vacchetta and Steinberger.

Now I can't buy anymore for ages again.

I sometimes use Truth Seekers Tarot instead of the Raider-Waite as I think its getting a bit tired now. I do need to find another deck that uses the traditional images but is a little fresher looking!

I'm curious to know if anyone else uses the Truth Seeker though or what you think of it?

I have that - of the two I prefer Rider Waite,. (Also shows up  as the Pathfinder's Tarot, by the way. I mention this as I didn't know and now have both !) I find Truthseekers' a little twee.

There's always the Radiant Rider Waite ?

If you like the RWS but want it different, my fave version is the Pamela Coleman RWS by Lo Scarabeo, it has the most beautiful colouring and backgrounds. I think it does it better than the Radiant RWS

here is one of my readings with it.....

There's also the new one, the Weiser Tarot, which has some images in the Unboxing thread, and Jamie Sawyer of Sawyer's Path/Lenormand is releasing an RWS which has some updated line drawing and fresher colors and backgrounds.

And according to reviews from people who now own it,  the print quality is appalling; the ink comes off on your hands. If you can link to here from de-enabling, I can say that ! Because it's true and is a genuine and very Superior flaw for any would be buyer. However good a deck is - and I have no view on this) even encouraging posts should mention something that serious.

There are so many copies/clones/remakes of the RWS it can be a chore trying to find the one that works for a person.  Plus, online photos never seem to do a deck justice with regard to the coloring.
