Wait, so I managed to completely forget to post an introduction post?? That is so like me 😅 Well, better late than never I guess....

Hiya all, I'm Tysha, and I have a bit of an obsession with collecting tarot decks. I do read with them too, but only for myself. Despite buying my first tarot deck .... a long time ago (the Celtic Dragon Tarot for the curious), I only really used them in spellwork rather than using them as a tarot deck until last year. I discovered the tarot community on Instagram, who welcomed me with open arms (and encouraging comments and likes), and my mild interest in the cards somehow snowballed into a full-blown addiction!

I love to do journaling with my cards, and trying spreads or challenges posted on IG. I *could* probably survive with just a few decks, but I just love the fact I get 78 (or more) pieces of artwork to play with each time. I do have a really bad habit of backing decks on Kickstarter, I tell myself it teaches me patience.....but I'm not convinced it's really working. I totally blame my hoarding tendencies on my draconity 😜 but the way I look at it, I could be spending that money on worse things (I have friends who happily smoke or drink away their spare cash). Thankfully my hubby has no problem with my tarot habit, he even bought me two lovely decks for Yule.

I do feel kinda bad I didn't back this forum's Kickstarter when I saw it, but I do have a tendency to lurk when it comes to forums. It's kinda weird when I look back to me in 2001, when it was difficult to get me to shut up in them!

Welcome to the forum @Tysha!

We have quite a few members here with large collections of tarot decks (I'm not one of them, I spend too much money on craft materials instead).

I hope you enjoy it here 🙂

Thank you for the welcome @stephanelli ^_^

I totally support the spending of money on craft materials 😃 It looks like most of my inheritance from my mother will be in the form of embroidery threads and aida (as she's an avid cross stitcher), seriously, she has way more than any person could use in one lifetime! 🤣

I do most of the textile crafts.  I'm sat in the living room right now and I can see a box overflowing with wool to spin into yarn, a couple of knitting and crochet projects, some cross stitch projects and my frame loom...if I ever have children that will be their inheritance I'm sure 😛

Thank you @Endy ^_^ My avatar picture was painted for me by my friend Zyleeth, who perfectly captured my inner self, and my love of tea 😄 And it must be time to pop the kettle on again I think.....
