It is such a convenient way to archive the FB group to hide the mess before asking for more money to create new deck. Until I found this thread I could not find a lot of information regarding this deck around so I would not be surprise if people who are unaware of this will pay for the upcoming deck

No it shouldn't - it leaves out EVERYONE who is not on facebook. That's simply not acceptable.

 

I may have been one of those who "got the newsletter started", as I complained repeatedly on etsy that I had no information - and she apologised - on etsy - MANY times.

Avalon made a video 2 days ago to her patreon coven saying she was being bullied in her main Facebook group and that the date has always been December 2019. This is a blatant lie because you can google the original add for the bonestone on etsy and it says December 2018. The video was shared in the new bonestone group created so people could speak freely without being suppressed. I tried to attach it here but you can't attach videos. In the video, she outright says that 2019 was in the original banner which is another lie. She also praises people for attacking people in the group and says she wishes she was a heavy hitter as well but she's afraid to speak up in case she loses her good name. Yet in the main bonestone group she says that she doesn't support her friends attacking. Incite in private, shame in public. I'm reporting it and sending the video and screenshots to the etsy legal team. I tried so hard to give her a chance but I am done.

Wow, just wow... im not part of this group anymore, but this is shocking. Do you have link to the video?

When she mentioned, that hostility comes from her friends, she was like "I know it is not right, BUT, i would do the same".... this is kinda supporting and enables their behavior. And she admits it is bullying. This is a major red flag and need to be addressed.  

NO business person would allow this, especially their friends bully their customers. Her coven and friends work hard, for those coven degrees, and probably want to earn free/discounted deck. I doubt they paid for it. This is very questionable, morally and ethically. Grown women to act and think like children, and finger pointing, shaming customers, when a question arise. 

And oh the irony... she complains about being bullied, but in the same time support and allow her coven and friends into bullying customers.

I think a site, with news, like any other deck creator, who has tab "updates" would do good job. I didn't realize you were not on Facebook.

Regular updates on her own website would have been fine. And there are a lot of us here who don't do facebook. Amazing but true - and the group there was IIRC closed, so one couldn't even view it as one can Lo Scarabeo's page there..

I wasn't planning on making an account, but I did because of this. I was watching Avalon on her YouTube channel when she announced the project and slated it for 2018. You can probably still find those vids unless she hid/deleted them. But this, this is blatant lies. I almost backed this deck. I'm kinda glad I didn't now.

 

***Edit: she has since clarified a lot of things on a facebook live vid. and has corrected the original date of Dec 2018 for the deck. I honestly didn't expect the deck release until at least a year later (Dec 2019). Even with the clarification, I'm still glad that I took my time and decided not to back this one.

It does feel like a really sad ending to a project we were all so excited and supportive about.

I don't see anyone attacking Avalon. I do see people expressing anger, frustration, concern and regret over the way they've been treated as supporters of her project.

Have you actually read each and every post in this thread?  No one is attacking, nor hating.  That is an exaggeration.  They are venting their frustration and/or expressing distrust.  As an outside observer of this trainwreck, I can't blame them!  It's clearly quite a fiasco -- made of poor business practices and questionable ethics!  It's just not acceptable.

 

I'm not one of the people waiting forever for what was paid for long, long ago, but I am disgusted by this situation for them. I don't like seeing anyone here being treated so terribly.

You realize you are part of the problem? 
Do you realize how toxic is this for her? Creating a delusional toxic space for her, making her believe she is the victim, and the result-the "private" video"....  

The "She can do no wrong" attitude is making her think she is martyr and think people bully her. You are projecting your feelings in this, instead look at it like formality and lesson.  Let her learn, and see where her mistakes are. It is her path, and experience. 

Nobody is attacking her.  Nobody is insulting, or defaming her. I don't know where you got this from.  People express concern, some anger, some are frustrated. It is not personal, neither it has to do something with her character, or the  vision of the deck. The deck is beautiful, and the idea of it, it's creation is stunning. As far as i see, people want the deck, not refund. This speaks volumes. 

I love Avalon, i follow her channel, love her content, but this doesn't make her perfect, neither i have to agree with everything she say or does.   

So, instead blindly defending her, shutting down everyone who DARE to ask or put criticism, let her learn, it is HER experience, not yours. It is NOT about you. 

Do you realize, if customers were not  bullied from her coven, and friends, things could be much peaceful. What happens now is not the problem. it is the result of the problem. Learn to separate things. Let her learn and experience. it will make her wiser and better.

I just want to pop in and say a few words. We have seen a great influx of new members and of people taking an interest in this topic. A lot of those are coming straight from social media and from the tumultuous atmosphere there. So as a precautionary measure I want to explain how things work here. This is not aimed at a specific individual, it is a general statement. 

 

It is perfectly fine for someone to say that they are feeling angry, sad or concerned because of something that has happened. It is also perfectly fine to point out discrepancies and or to share experiences around filing complaints. And likewise, it is absolutely fine for someone to say that they feel bad for Avalon, that they love the deck and that they are upset about the arguments that are still very much ongoing on Facebook. We will always allow both sides.

 

But. It is not okay to start attacking other members for their opinions and it is not okay to be condescending or to call someone names. Again, this is a precautionary statement, not aimed at something or someone here. If you want to say "I disagree with what you say because..." and you say that respectfully, then that is of course fine. I will quote our first rule here:

You don't have to agree with everything somebody says, but please be respectful in your replies.  We are a supportive family here and want to hear what everyone has to say.  We're glad to note that we have so far fostered a friendly community where a diversity of viewpoints is not only accepted, but actively cultivated.

As someone who paid quite a bit for this deck. which was promised for delivery in 2018, whatever Avalon now says in her latest video - I am sorry she has had a rough time in her personal life. But she hasn't handled her supporters well. That's the issue. The video where she says it was never due in 2018 is an absolute killer - it is so obvious that she has either lost the plot or is simply dissembling. She only had to look at her own banner for the etsy sales to see she had made a big mistake there.

 

There is a creator on Kickstarter a while back- also due in 2018 and still incomplete, never mind stuck at the printers - who suffered a massive stroke. The difference there is that his wife immediately posted about it, and has been keeping backers updated every step of the way (and he is now JUST starting to draw again.) Not only that but there are videos chronicling his condition and his recovery. Upfront with regular communication easily available to all is the way to go. That is not what has happened here - we have had such a variety of stories that it really is hard to know what's happening, and hard to believe the deck will ever show up.

Life happens. Sometimes it is chaos, sometimes in order, and it is OK, if you want to take rest, recovery, exhale. But not when there is 50 000 (correct me if iam wrong) people, waiting on you, and been enough patient, compassionate, patient, and emphatic with every your struggle. I remember she was mentioning her uncle died like 2 years ago (?). Fine, take week, two, to recover. Bushfires, this cannot be controlled, so, it is understandable, but this doesn't take an year. 

When my father died, i still went to work, working on projects. Of course i took time (a week) to grieve, funeral arrangements, but i returned to work and business  immediately. This was not my clients and customers battle, it is mine. This is part of being professional. 

COVID-19 was an excuse, but now most of the logistic  are back to work. In fact, another tarot creators wait their Decks from China and ship them to us very soon. 

 

I feel for Avalon, but she let her life struggles and drama to slow down the progress. As far as iam aware, Anna finished the Artwork in 2018. Since then, the logistic was always a problem.

There is a Tarot Deck called "The Black tarot"... the Creator done perfect job- The Hierophant card was misspelled so he gave option, if someone want to wait for the correction, or he could ship the decks with the error for those who don't want to wait. But it took 2 months at most, to correct the mistake.  

 

Can you tell me which tarot is this? I think the energy, the strength, the recovery journey of this person will make this deck incredibly powerful.
