    HOROSCOPES | Astrology & TAROT • July

Read the Horoscopes below for your Sun, Moon, & Rising Signs. While these are general readings, fusing these aspects tailors the reading to your personal chart. Additionally, make sure to visually take in the corresponding card that was pulled for your signs from the Alchemia Auri Tarot Deck. Row 1 • Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer Row 2 • Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio Row 3 • Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius Row 4 • Pisces Tarot Cards from Alchemia Auri Tarot Aries • Knight of Pentacles Elemental Ruler - Air of Earth Astrological Correspondence • Taurus, Virgo & Capricorn This solar cycle requests your diligence, the capacity to put your head down and do. The payout is embedded within the work you are avoiding. Keep moving forward, the pace is irrelevant. However, progress is the habit to cultivate. The story of the tortoise and the hare comes to mind. The knight of pentacles relating to the tortoise with its tempered, unhurried steps forward. We can become so rushed to actualize our wants and desires that we blow through the magic of being in the process. In the Artist’s Way, Julia Cameron emphasizes that creativity is about engaging with the current and the process rather than actualizing the end goal. Obsessing over outcomes and trying to control time frames ultimately strangles and hinders manifestation. The Great Work : Revolutionize something you dread that feels like a task you are bound to. Infusing magic into the mundane and bringing the moment to life bolsters morale and keeps us engaged. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Taurus • Hierophant | Reversed Astrological Correspondence • Taurus In the Tarot, every card has an astrological rulership, which is represented by astrological signs, planets, or astrological transits. The correspondence of this card is actually Taurus. Pulling the card in reverse is revealing a need to uproot something, most likely a belief. A call to action to turn something on its head. As a fixed Earth sign, Taurus is known to be a creature of comfort and very at home with grounding into things. The shadow of that can breed a stagnancy of sorts by holding onto something outdated because it is comfortable and familiar. “A stubborn mind seeks to remain unchanged.” - Unknown The Great Work : Free your mind. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Gemini • Page of Pentacles Elemental Ruler - Earth of Earth Astrological Correspondence • Taurus, Virgo & Capricorn This is an opportunity to plant a seed and tend to its growth, metaphorically speaking. The Suit of Pentacles speaks to all things manifest. Your career, financial life, revenue streams, health, and skill building are the focal point this month. I use the garden metaphor here although it could be a literal message for someone in terms of cultivating and learning a new skill. However it comes to life the method is the same. First, you begin and follow that trajectory with unwavering care, effort, and dedication. The Suit of Pentacles is slow, intentional, and bears fruit over the course of time. The Great Work : Be patient whilst persistent. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Cancer • Hierophant Astrological Correspondence • Taurus The original hierophants were priests out of Eleusis in Greece. This greek word translates to “the revealer of sacred things.” The word was documented in English in the 17th century and it referred to these priests. However, the word transformed with time to mean an interpreter, an advocate, or a spokesperson. All the astrological signs have a corresponding rulership in the physical body. This dates back to the Renaissance when Physicians referenced the Natal Chart of a patient as part of their healing practice. The practice of mapping celestial bodies to plants and the human body is known as Medical Astrology or Astro-Herbalism. Anyway, since the Hierophant was pulled, which corresponds to Taurus, I will focus on the throat as this is the ruling center of the body for this sign. I find the origin and transformation of the word itself particularly illuminating in relation to the message coming through. As a Cancer, there’s an innate sensitivity and empathetic nature within you. As a means of self preservation, one may armor and compartmentalize parts of the emotional self as a means to cope with heightened delicacy, which in turn shuts down self advocacy. The Great Work : Liberate the voice and speak your truth. This is a powerful act of integrity, strength, and courage. Courage isn’t the absence of fear, but the willingness to feel the fear and do it anyway. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Leo • 5 of Wands Elemental Ruler - Fire Astrological Correspondence • Saturn in Leo Saturn takes about 29.5 years to orbit the Sun, which means that it spends about 2.5 years transiting each sign within the zodiac. When Saturn makes its way into Leo, we see collective themes involving the Ego or individuation. Since Saturn and the Sun (the ruling “planet of Leo”) are opposing forces, conflict is born. Conflict is such a fascinating character study. We can witness deep shadow states that lay dormant in the psyche of ourselves and others that reveal themselves in an instant given a catalyst. The Great Work : Cast the light of awareness on your patterning around conflict. Meet dissension with curiosity, perspective, and lay down the need to be right. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Virgo • King of Swords | Reversed Elemental Ruler - Fire of Air Astrological Correspondence • Gemini, Libra, Aquarius The Vata constitution comes from a lineage out of India called Ayurveda. This particular Dosha, which is governed by Air and Space, is the energetic propensity of Virgo. Although, you are an Earth sign, the mental faculties are highly attuned which drives the energy into the upper parts of the body, hence the Air correspondence. When out of balance, you most likely fall into cycles of circular thinking, rumination, and over analysis. Virgo rules the 6th house in Astrology. This house speaks to our daily rituals and routines, which ultimately effect our health and wellness. It’s truly remarkable where a small action enacted daily can lead us for better or worse. “The impact created by change in your habits is similar to the effect of shifting the route of an airplane by just a few degrees. Imagine you are flying from Los Angeles to New York City. If a pilot leaving from L.A.X. adjusts the heading just 3.5 degrees south, you will land in Washington, D.C., instead of New York. Such a small change is barely noticeable at takeoff - the nose of the airplane just moves a few feet - but when magnified across the entire United States, you end up hundreds of miles apart. Similarly, a slight change in your daily habits can guide your life to a very distant destination.” - James Clear • Atomic Habit The Great Work : Change your mind; Change your life. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Libra • 6 of Wands | Reversed Elemental Ruler - Fire Astrological Correspondence • Jupiter in Leo Libra, you are a sign with the ruling planet of Venus. This planet is astrology dances in the realms of the heart. The tenderness that is awakened through love, softness, and intimacy. That being said, I’m feeling the need for appreciation directed towards yourself. Bear witness to your virtues and stand in celebration the way you would for those close to your heart. Today you get your flowers, from yourself. You deserve your love and attention just as much as those that you bless with your care. True success, in my option, is less about attainment and more about honoring the depths of the spirit and soul. The Great Work : Honor yourself with Grace. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Scorpio • 7 of Wands Elemental Ruler - Fire Astrological Correspondence • Mars in Leo Boundaries is the theme of this month and standing in our, “NO.” As a fellow Scorpio, this archetype continues to be a profoundly maturing influence in the unfolding of my life story. May we Bid Adieu to people in our lives that function from power over tactics, as they are disempowered at their very core. True power never seeks to harm; that is a calculated maneuver of an unchecked Ego. The Hermetic Order of Golden Dawn is an occult society that draws heavily on Hermeticism and the Kabbalah. They assigned all of the astrological correspondences within the 78 cards of the tarot along with the titles. They titled this card, “The Lord of Courage,” accompanied by the correspondence of Mars in Leo. Courage is a mental muscle that is built through practice. When we take small, incremental steps out of our comfort zone and take action despite feeling afraid - Courage is born. The Great Work : Stand in your power. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sagittarius • Hierophant | Reversed Astrological Correspondence • Taurus In the tarot, every card has an astrological rulership, which is represented by astrological signs, planets, or astrological transits. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Capricorn • Chariot Astrological Correspondence • Cancer The message here is to walk the middle path. The astrological ruler of this card is Cancer, which is opposite your sign, Capricorn, at 180 degrees across the zodiac wheel. Capricorn rules the 10th house in Astrology of Vocation, Achievements & Accolades. In contrast, Cancer rules the 4th house of the hearth, family, home, emotions and lineage. The magic is balancing the Yang, the active masculine force, with the Yin, the receptive feminine nature, within oneself. These energetic attunements are present in all bodies, regardless of gender as expressed by the imprint of the celestial forces. The Great Work : Seek progress through the union of opposites. Embrace receptivity as much as you rely on logic. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Aquarius • 6 of Pentacles Elemental Ruler - Earth Astrological Correspondence • Moon in Taurus In Astrology, Aquarius rules the 11th house of the Zodiac. This is the sector of community, networks, and humanitarian pursuits. This pairs nicely with the 6 of Pentacles being a card of generosity and philanthropy. This is an invitation to give solely for the act of giving. Give from a place of no expectation, no reward, and no return. You may want to even sweeten the deal by being anonymous. The Great Work : Be a conduit for miracles. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Pisces • Ovum | The Cosmic EGG Elemental Ruler - Earth, Air, Fire & Water Astrological Correspondence • Earth The Cosmic Egg, Ovum Philosophicum, refers to the principal vessel in Alchemy where transmutation occurs. The Great Work, Magnum Opus, is the spiritual pursuit of greatness as achieved by transforming the base metal of the ego into the Gold of the Soul. Our first home begins inside the Womb of Creation. The amniotic sac is a defining feature of amniotes, which are reptiles, birds, and mammals. This fluid filled “egg” provides a safe, aquatic, environment for the embryo to develop on Earth. This sac is an evolved version of the shelled egg and develops around day 7 or 8 after fertilization. There is a long held myth that the fastest sperm is the sole champion that implants within the ovum, however science has proved the egg is equally part of the fertilization process. It releases chemical signals that guide and attract the sperm toward it. Essentially, this egg summons the sperm. It’s a magnetic force. The message here being of unity and oneness. Honoring all aspects within and without as the great creator of the universe. When we marry the virtues of the masculine force with the feminine principle, magic is literally born. This manifestation is living proof that reverberates through each and every single one of us. It is our origin story and this creative process is ever present with each and every breath we take. The Great Work : Contemplate this expression of Quintessence. Paradoxically, this 5th essence is the divine identity of all living things. Everything is ONE and emerges from a single, unified source. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tarot Cards from Alchemia Auri Tarot

Deck of the Week Sign-up Thread, Week 469: Jun. 29- Jul. 5

Hi, all! The best laid plans of finishing up my Golden Dawn decks have been derailed. This week will be a new acquisition, Lessons from the Liminal Space. This is what happens when I’m not busy at work and start browsing decks! I wanted to add an oracle to my “Abstract” category, and I think this will do the trick. (The only other abstract oracle I have is The Secret World of Crystals Journey Cards, which is close-up photos of the interior of crystals, so it looks abstract, but it’s not exactly abstract art.) According to the booklet, the creator of Lessons from the Liminal Space is a magical practitioner and healer with synesthesia. As you see, the cards are abstract paintings with longish key sentences. 46 cards. Card 1 is an affirmation, but the rest are advice and/or observations. It will be interesting to see how the art reflects the words. The booklet provides spreads as rituals and lists and describes liminal deities. I’m throwing the deck into the deep end with a regular interview and then a full moon reading, but I think after that I’ll do one moon phase card plus one Lessons card to make this an easier week. What is your most important characteristic? At times, the healthiest decision is to sit, wait, and listen. Art: Green for healthy. Things haven’t come together yet. The deck is about health and messages to listen to. What is your strength? Allowing yourself to take spaces does not take space from others. Do not let anyone prevent your expansion. Art: The while tentacles are taking space without taking form the other colors. It’s very supporting of individuals over groups. Your weakness? When you stop looking, the right messages will come. Art: We’re in the dark but the light is just outside of it. This is maybe too ironic for an oracle. But I believe it’s true. What can you teach me? People weave in and out of our lives. Receive new friends with gratitude. Art: This is beautiful. Obviously woven threads. Looks like Mondrian. It can teach me how better to receive friends and let others go. How can I learn it? Home is the curation of the many feelings we wish to dwell in. Art: It looks like branches around a nest. These go together well. Friends arriving and departing and what home means. I can learn about friends by reflecting on who I want in my home. What will be the outcome of our work together? Intention is surrender. When intention is clear, so is the path. Art: Looks similar to previous card but more floral. Brighter colors for more active. I don’t find that to be true in my case. I know what I want to do, but I don’t know how to do it. (Similar to just knowing what the problem is doesn’t solve it.) Maybe the deck will help me connect my intentions with my path. Wow, the many cards worked much better than I thought it would. We’ll see if that continues this week.
  4. So true ,if something makes you happy enjoy it ,there are no wrong things in life
  5. Well @Troll, I suppose it's all just part of the journey, right? And however that goes, I hope it can bring each one of us peace of mind and heart.

Deck of the Week Sign-up Thread, Week 469: Jun. 29- Jul. 5

Thank you Fire cat! I'm in this week with the Tarot of the Orishas paired with Diloggun Cards. I think the Tarot de la Rea is beautiful! Your perspective will either become your prison or your passport. —Steven Furtick Ochosi is the Orisha of the hunt, forests and animals, yet he is also known as a believer of impartial justice and equality. He has a little chuckle at us today, because we've constructed a prison for ourselves made of our own thoughts. Ochosi says, "You stand and look in one direction, seeking resources or a solution to your problem. Can you not look to the left, the right and behind you, realizing there are many other options?" The proverb for Edi (Seven Mouths) reads: "Always being in a hurry does not prevent death, neither does going slowly prevent living." Curiosity is the partner of patience; curiosity heightens our patience by keeping us interested. It grants us time to unravel problems rather than create more.

More Kickstarter decks for your thoughts

yeah as a non-backer, it's one of the pledge options down the side, the 50 card deck. That Kickstarter is everywhere, the creators took out social media ads all over the place! I see the deck as a sponsored post about twice a day at the moment. Good marketing 🙂
  10. Closing reading of the week, done yesterday (28/6). I asked the deck what it wanted to tell me and drew Fool (called Folly chased by the Tiger of Regret) and 2 of Pentacles. The symbol on the latter holding the two coins together is the Egyptian hieroglyph Tyet or the knot of Isis. It was given to the dead as a talisman on their journey to the afterworld. I read the two cards together as no matter what foolish moves I make, there is a level of divine protection, maybe even guidance. There is a pattern to my life that may have its purpose in its ups and downs and stressfulness. The Fool seems to be reaching beyond the tiger of regret towards that guidance.

I believe so. It's called the Selected Emblems Companion Deck ($40). Now that I've pledged I don't see any of the pledge buttons, but it's still listed as a reward there, so should be available.

    Mind mapping with tarot

Thank you for the positive feedback! I'm still on my OMAD journey, and I have put up stickers of the five encouraging, empowering cards in my journal. I have started to move more. So mindmapping the tarot is a great tool to find practical solutions. The tarot is like a wise friend whose brains you can pick.
  16. Yesterday I drew these cards, without any particular question in mind, just what I needed to know. I included the base card this time (card at the bottom of the deck), which I read as the underlying energy of the reading. With the 8oP that I also drew the day before, my mind was obviously mulling over the work that lies ahead of me with the book. I have a tendency to panic when faced with a deadline. I’m keeping this in check at the moment by parcelling work into manageable units as I move forward. The 6oS seems to suggest just that. The 4oC I read as keeping my emotional equilibrium.

    Intro :)

It's very pleasant and unexpected to hear (well, or see) my native language here:). That is awesome! It warms my heart to know that my language is being introduced in other countries. I won't say much about the region — I value my privacy too much — but I'm from the Urals. Thoth deck really was a sharp start. No wonder it hits me so hard after readings and I feel really dizzy and tired. I'm too sensitive to it. But my deck loves me! I think, since I started with something difficult, everything else will come much easier later on. The readings come easily, and I'm amazed by the accuracy of the spreads, but I know for sure that due to my inexperience I'm obviously missing a lot, a lot of things. Well, I can see the big picture in my readings, which is already not bad for a start, I suppose. Thank you very much for the welcome!

    Intro :)

Hello. I am a new member of this forum. I have been interested in tarot for some time, and recently I purchased my first deck. By the way, it's the Aleister Crowley Thoth Tarot deck. I got staggering results from my very first reading. I'm excited. And I'm very interested in esotericism. I think that soon I will become more knowledgeable in this subject and will be confident in using it. I am Russian, so unfortunately, I may not understand everything, and my words may sound unclear and disjointed. I am also very into socionics, psychosophy, and the Enneagram. That's all I can say about myself. See you around!

My Path Through Tarot, Shadow Work & Study

Hi and welcome! Since you're into "shadow work," you might enjoy reading this article I recently found and thought very illuminating: https://www.rafaelkruger.com/how-to-do-shadow-work-demystifying-complexes/
  26. First of all I love talking about things and listen to opinions of other people .Because they are all true to person holding them .so in my eyes there are no wrong or right opinions . I am stuck with my beliefs ?Yes ,because when I found my core -that everything is LL I really dont want to move forward ,I am at home .Only reason why I started Tarot and joined this forum was concept- Think about things and after that think about your thinking ,but now this base is completely shattered beyond any repair. If all thoughts are LL and lead to LL ,then why I think that Trump is sexiest human in history and my thinking about that ,just dont interest me anymore . Writing about all of this ? I don`t hold any shareable experience in field ,because I am complete beginner at Gnosticism and Tarot also dysgraphia don`t make writing easy . But I am super happy to talk about all of this to super smart person like you or anyone else .Thank you
  27. Hmm thank you so much for this post @Cariabella. My natural default "inferior function" alla Mr. Yung would be Cups. However over the years that I have developed into the Solitary Wiccan that I am today - It is no longer my blind spot. And it is the door to my subconscious and my magickal realm - with still a great deal more to explore and learn for myself. I totally agree with this practice (as a modern day witch who does exactly this) : Putting the Tools to Work: A 3-Step Ritual Here is how we can intentionally lay these elements out on our own "table" during a practice: Sensation (Pentacles): Prep your space! Light incense, put on music, or chant to get your physical senses fully engaged. Thinking & Feeling (Swords & Cups): Hold your goal in mind while acknowledging that you currently lack it. Blending thought and emotion is the secret sauce of energy transmutation—the ultimate magical technique. Intuition (Wands): Shift your thinking to a state of absolute completion, acting as if the goal is already yours. Between 2 & 3, is where a witch asks for all spirits concerned (that hir believes in) to join hir and lend their assistance to arrive at the material reality of 3 (if getting to the results of 3 is for the good of all concerned). And these "daily strengthening exercises": 1) Alchemize Everyday Stress: Got yelled at by your boss? Don't waste that energy! Sit in your car or a quiet corner and use that frustration to fuel a completely different manifestation (like a new car). To anchor yourself, engage your senses internally: visualize a peaceful river, hear the birds, or replay the taste and smell of your morning coffee. = a mindfulness practice (a cornerstone of any type of meditative practice). 2) The Senses Check-In: While walking or working, take a moment to notice everything you can physically see, hear, feel, taste, and smell. Then, close your eyes and recreate those exact sensations internally in your mind's eye. = being mindful, and then practicing visualisation - a type of meditation.
  28. Yes, this is what I feel is the 'point', and really what I was trying to describe in a roundabout way! I'll preface by saying that I understand and respect how you describe your belief, but I'll counter by asking you to consider how we can sometimes have the tendency to have such certainty in our belief that we create a paradigm that we can't explore past. What follows is absolutely not a prod or a criticism, but rather a thought experiment for you, something to mull over - if reality is indeed ultimately love and light, what purpose does it serve for it to learn and experience through manifest consciousness if its already perfect? What if, reality is in fact formed by the journeys that make it up, it couldn't exist without experiences? Does that makes sense? A co creation maybe. The tapestry wouldn't exist without the threads being woven into it, an ocean wouldn't exist without the innumerable particles of water that form it. More shaky analogies but hopefully you get what I mean 😅 So with that in mind - Can this really be true then, if actually the whole point is the many different facets of the journey? I suppose what I'm suggesting is to play around with changing your perspective, flip it around and look at things upside down or back to front. What happens to it then? My personal point of view is that we can certainly have our beliefs and opinions, but ultimately we can't know the truth. (That's just me of course, I'm not saying it should be the case for others). So if I consider that, I can just as well ask myself, what's the point in staying there? What happens if I just start asking questions and feeling around? My philosophy for now is, never stop asking questions, and when you discover things, use those as jumping off points to ask more questions. That's where the tarot comes in for me as a wonderful tool to explore with. Now I want to make clear, I've said a lot and I'm becoming conscious of overstepping your boundaries and making it seem that I'm trying to convince you of something. I'm not, and I would certainly never denigrate another's beliefs (unless they were harmful in some way). In the end, what do I know, anyway? As I've said, I just like to turn things over in my mind and think on questions, and besides, you asked for people's thoughts in the first place and I'm enjoying the conversation 😉 One last thing before I stop badgering you; many contributors here have made suggestions about tarot practice and questions to ask it, but I wondered what would happen if you turned the tables with it and became the creator rather than the receiver. Many people use the tarot to tell stories and create narratives, would that be something to consider? Rather than reaching out to the tarot for answers, you use it to create. Who knows what might come about as a result? Just a thought.
