More Kickstarter decks for your thoughts

I missed out on a cool ancient egypt inspired deck 😞 The Dream of Nile tarot. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dreamvisiontarot/dream-of-nile-tarot-golden-horus-edition I’ve been casually on the lookout for an ancient egyptian mythology inspired deck since two or three years into starting tarot but never found quite the right deck. I saw this one on a youtube video (the previous edition) and they mentioned the new one’s kickstarter. But the video was 2 months old. This is what I get for falling out of the loop with tarot! Hopefully she makes another edition. It might be a while though since she has an Alice in Wonderland tarot kickstarter launching soon. Well…I’m supposed to be studying the thoth anyway right now. I finished the majors in the DuQuette book a few months ago and fell off. Imma get back on that. I signed up for the newsletter anyway. edit: pics

    Nice to meet you :)

Welcome to the community @Hamuse This sounds the dream life, among the books! Glad you found us here 😀
  6. I was inspired to try Mi-Shell's 3-card spread this week... Especially since I'm in a moment of many instabilities, with lots of obligations combined with big financial insecurity... Here is my reading: Card 1 – Left side = feelings I have: 10 of Swords Card 2 – Right side = the facts I am facing: 10 of Pentacles Card 3 – Middle Ground = What can I do: 8 of Wands And a Witch's Rune for advice: Star The first thing I want to say is that the Gummy Bear has one of THE BEST little white booklets ever. Really, it's very complete, surprisingly deep and yet whimsical, like the deck itself. As you can see, the first card is 10 of Swords, a card we are never really happy to see (though it... fits). In the Gummy Bear LWB it says "the mortal shell of a bear is lying at the shore, pinned down by ten swords. Or is it just an empty bathing suit? The sky is black. But the clouds are lifting. A golden light is visible on the horizon". So clearly, I have been feeling beyond overwhelmed and with a profound sense of failure... but maybe it's a sign I have outgrown the skin I have been wearing for so long. The second card is the 10 of Pentacles, and in the Gummy Bear LWB gives it an interesting twist beyond the good ol' prosperity thing: "Two guests arrive at a castle, and are welcomed by the Castle Bear himself. [...] This scene is one of returning after a long absence". This card shows the facts I am facing, and while I am not sure I understand it completely in this position, I do feel like I have been wandering a long time without finding 'my place'. The 10s always strike me as cards of ending, so I suppose I'm also facing the end of a material cycle, but it's not necessarily a bad thing (even though, right now, it seems that way) Also, it's interesting to have two 10s in opposite positions. The middle card is the 8 of Wands, and it shows what I can do about my situation, and the answer is: press on. Focus on one task at a time and keep doing what you gotta do. Get things done! Or as the LWB says: "Happy people act, unhappy people talk about acting." Lastly, my Witch's Rune for advice is the Star. I have been getting this rune ALL THE TIME, no matter which of my sets I use (I have two, one made of wood and another made of stone). This rune tells I need to have faith in what I do, and be hopeful, even if the dots don't seem to connect right now. My 10 of Swords mindset makes it a bit hard sometimes….

    Nice to meet you :)

Hello, nice to meet you! :3 I’m Hamuse! I’m a girl in her 30s living alone and surrounded by books. I’ve been studying tarots for almost three years in and off I would say… but I’m still struggling! I joined the forum so I can talk with other people that likes tarots and maybe learn something new. Thank you 🧙🏻‍♀️

    Two Books for March

Happy to see you back here @Grizabella. I use a diary and when I change a password I put the new password under the date that I changed it. That way I've got a record. We're not supposed to write it down, but there's so many passwords for so many different things we access there is no other logical way to do it - other than maybe using your smart phone to send a code, and that's just giving away more information. Looking forward to reading the latest from you.

    Totally Unable to Update Profile

Sorry you are having this problem 😞 You need to write something in the field "Why do you wish to join?" It can be anything but the profile will only save if you fill that in. We have had to implement the field for people joining after having a problem with Bot accounts. So it's a field where someone has to make a human input. The way the forum software works it goes on everyone's profile. So you can just write whatever you want there, just one time and then never have this issue again 🙏 This happened to me updating my decks list and worked out that was what was stopping it saving.
  15. I have been trying for the past 2 hours repeatedly trying to update my profile. I save it, and the changes do not stick. Please help! I want to update my card list.
  16. Sadly, no. I love Gummy Bears... but I'm not gonna eat them in front of the deck, though! What if I offend the Gummy Bear Gods, and they send me bad readings?
  17. Hi Marina! ♥ I can not speak for FCP, but we are an easy bunch and anyone can join at any day with any deck 🙂 --äää-- are you also eating gummi bears while you are using this deck? 😉

I highly recommend using a free password manager, like Bitwarden. Saves you so much headache! It manages and invents all the passwords for you, and it makes them as complicated as you could possibly want. And since their vault is online, you can access it from any unit. Glad to see you back though! 😀

    Two Books for March

🤣🤣🤣 Modern living. Brilliant isn't it? My hubby, who is an IT man - spent last saturday sleuthing to find out exactly how my neighbour got scammed on her fancy new mobile - where the crooks used face-time to call her back and convince her that she was due a refund - and tried to get money out of her bank. Happily he's a bit of a police man when it comes to these things, so she's fine now.

Totally agree and sympathise. It's getting to where the only people who can use our devices are the crooks who know how to bypass the 'security' measures put in place. The legitimate owners haven't a hope.

Does anyone know what deck this is?

I appreciate the efforts everyone. An enigma is sometimes fun to own.

    Two Books for March

I've just sat here working diligently on getting my password changed because I forgot mine. It all began clear back in March when my laptop broke and I had to use my old laptop, only to find that I had forgotten there's a pin number to get into the old one. Then finally my daughter dug up a Chromebook I can use as a guest. Then I came here and found I had forgotten THIS password too. And then, in trying to retrieve my password for here, I found that I had to go through so many validation things that didn't validate me that I was about to chuck the whole idea of getting back into the forum. My new passwords were deemed too weak, when I tried more that were strong then it became "passwords don't match" for several times. If I hadn't accidentally hit on two that matched I would have been a long gone goose, believe me. Nothing is worth so much aggravation. Anyway, I'm sorry I haven't been here for a few months. I'll try to catch up now.
