Hello fellow card enthusiasts. Its been quite some time since I was here and thought I would re-introduce myself. I love all things cards. I have been studying traditional Lenormand and also going back to traditional Tarot as well. I sort of got lost on different tangents and thought going back to basics would be good. I'm a total newcomer to the tarot world. I started collecting decks this past summer as a way to pass the time during this never-ending pandemic and almost immediately got sucked down the rabbit hole. I've been primarily interested in the history of cartomancy and the evolution of artwork & symbology, but I'd like to start learning to read with some of the decks I've accumulated. It's slow going, though, because I've bought too widely and now can't decide where to start! I've really enjoyed lurking on this forum, but I'm hoping that by becoming a more active poster, I'll actually make some progress as a reader. We'll see how that goes!

My friend bought me my first tarot deck 3 days ago ( magic tarot by Amaia Arrazola ) , I know that it is not the typical first tarot deck but I reaaaallly wanted it ! 🙃 The first day I introduced myself and let it rest, the second day I cleansed it and went through the cards ( I wrote my interpretation of each card ) and shuffled. Hello! I am new to tarot reading. I purchased my first deck (Angel Tarot by Radleigh Valentine) about a few months ago and started doing reading for myself (just one card a day) but I had a hard time connecting with the imagery. Maybe it was too complex for my beginner’s mind. So after listening to a podcast recommendation, I decided to purchase the Radiant Rider-Waite Tarot and it has been easier to connect with the imagery to read for myself on a daily basis. I love lurking in the defunct Aeclectic threads although I came somewhat too late to the party 😄 I'm glad this site was set up afterwards.... Hi, I'm a complete novice but have been enjoying reading lots of bits and pieces on this forum. I'm in the UK and I bought my deck about 15 years ago when I was at university just because I liked the look of it but never did anything with it. I have just got it out again, going through some difficult times and wanted something to give me a bit of a focus and calmness to start my day. I am doing a card a day to help me understand the cards better and I am really enjoying it so far 🙂
